  1. I don't think she's got any tears left after what we've subjected her to so far.
  2. It had bloody well better get cooler here in Lumphini because after last month's leccy bill I've had to ditch the aircon and buy a fan. Currently sweltering at 31°C in my room ???? Hopefully I can keep this up for more than a few days and finally start acclimatising to the local weather if that's even possible.
  3. Don't you have to say "Lobinson"? I'm in Bangkok and I find that if I pronounce my rrrs I get blank stares. Then when I repeat the word using the vernacular it's all smiles and "150 baht" ????
  4. I don't know enough about it to pass judgement but on the surface it seems like a good initiative by the Filipino government to protect their vulnerable women. I think we've all heard a few horror stories and the reality is probably much, much worse then we know about.
  5. OP's a tourist on a shoestring budget. I did that many years ago too. You put up with all sorts of inconveniences to save a few (hundred) baht. When I was doing it full on, BKK was still at Don Mueang not Swampy. The bus into town that dropped you off near Democracy Monument was what, 3 baht 50 satang? IIRC taxi was in excess of 100 baht (dunno, too cheap to ever take one). The money I saved got me a cheap room on the KSR. I think I might have even been able to squeeze a small bottle of Singha out of it too. Thankfully those days are behind me and now I won't settle for anything less than the AOT 7-Series ????
  6. I'm of the understanding that it's for all countries to help prevent the girls from getting exploited/trafficked when they arrive at their destination.
  7. Perfection but at bargain basement prices. And deep wais to boot. And if I don't get it I'm going to whine incessantly on my preferred expat forum ????
  8. I'd like to date those types of women too but I'm poor, uneducated and badly dressed so I don't stand a chance ????
  9. dun forget about Aussie Wagyu ????????????
  10. I'm not advising the OP, nor am I speculating. No need to as Sheryl has already set him straight. I was asking the other poster why he suggested Febuxo over Allo for gout. Not worth staying a new topic over I'm pretty sure that the OP is clever enough to work that out.
  11. mate I'm a commited bachelor so thankfully I've sidestepped all of that nonsense. Good luck though with whatever you choose ????
  12. Yes, that's correct. But I only suggested Lao e-visa because you're a Pom and they charge like wounded bulls for a new passport so you don't want to fill it up unnecessarily. The Lao visa-on-arrival sticker takes up a whole page in your passport doesn't it? I was there last in 2008 so obviously my knowledge of Lao entry procedure is a bit out of date, but I don't see anyone else apart from UJ rushing to help you out so I'm doing my best to fill in! ????
  13. Just reading the thread now. You beat me to it. Although I would have added "if ye dinnae like it ye can leave!" ????
  14. Dudes who run 2 Michelin star restaurants and are cooking for VIPs generally use a higher quality of beef than it sounds like you can afford ????
  15. I expect that the quality of beef they served the world "leaders" is light years beyond what you've ever tasted. I'd be very happy to try K. Jangprai's massaman curry if I could afford it.
  16. 24th floor of the Holiday Inn has a panoramic view of Pattaya Bay. Their buffet breakfast is a bit lame though (my go-to is the Sportsman to give you an indication of my taste). This is a pic I took in December last year. Not a great shot, it looks better in person.
  17. Great news, Pattaya's back baby! I was last there in January and it was a bit quiet around that area in the morning. The only people in the bars that early were a handful of BiB who seem to have made the corner of Sai Song and Soi 13 their personal office.
  18. I was sweet on a coyote dancer at my nearest chrome pole palace. no intention of taking things further for obvious reasons but I did enjoy spending time with her. until ... I was admiring her new fake YSL handbag and found out she doesn't know who Yves Saint Laurent was! ????
  19. Yes, you can leave via the land border at Nong Khai, UJ confirmed this. Well it's really a river border but let's not quibble ???? Friendship Bridge I at NK is one of the 6 checkpoints where you can use a Lao e-visa should you wish to save a page in your passport. https://laoevisa.gov.la/info ps. don't ask me how many boxes of Beerlao you can smuggle back across the bridge, I'm Bangkok based and haven't set foot in the outback for a very long time. pps. Vientiane is a nice little town. Maybe take the GF for a couple days vacay. Propose to her on the banks of the mighty Kong River! ????
  20. enlightenment can be achieved in many ways grasshopper ????
  21. Why not the good old go-to Allopurinol, which is what I use to keep the disease of Kings at bay? Does it not work for you?
  22. He's already seen!l a quack, he went to the blimmin' hospital. Sheryl is a nurse I believe, with many years experience and has a stellar reputation on this forum. It is as simple as that!
  23. Because they have a serious problem with alcohol. That's why I do it ???? ps. I'm being serious despite what the emoji might imply.
  24. there's Sweet Fanny Adams that you can do about the maskless farang hordes so just relax and enjoy your life instead of getting embarrassed on their behalf.
