I was at McCormick for the AstraZeneca jab today as well. The sign outside, according to my Thai wife, says that the "booster shots" will be administered if the vaccines are available.

But, but, they were getting excellent advice from their "government". Just stay home and starve and we will buy a bunch of Chinese <deleted> and beg the rest of the world to donate effective vaccines. What a strategy, how could it have failed?

True enough, I'm Canadian, neither of the vaccines I've received so far will allow me to travel there. On the other hand, two Moderna jabs will, I just have to last long enough to get them. I'll be 69 in a month and I'm a type two diabetic, I want the best odds I can get.

Same here, I prepaid for two Moderna jabs which probably won't arrive until 2022. I decided to seek whatever protection I can get in the interval. I have no confidence in Sinovac but AstraZeneca seems relatively effective. When the ship is sinking, grab whatever floats.

You are too logical to live in Thailand. The medical is a joke, unless of course you have elephantiasis. Obviously, as you say, you will not have a criminal record. Go apply for the criminal record check, nothing will come up. Forward all the forms, they will prove to the world that you are a healthy, law abiding person. Job done! Welcome to Thailand.

In 2005 I had to retire for medical reasons. I travelled extensively in North America for work, but had never been out of it. I asked two friends that had completely different jobs, but one thing in common, they took every opportunity to travel. One told me St Lucia, the other said Thailand. I chose Thailand but often wish I had at least gone to see St. Lucia. Great photos.

Yes, that was the case, Sino then Astra. I had been made aware that some countries may not accept a mix of vaccines, but I wanted some protection for now. I purchased 2 doses of Moderna to be administered at Lanna Hospital in Chiang Mai. Supposed to be October but may be set back until January and I felt that I would be too long without protection if I waited. McCormick hospital in Chiang Mai offered these two jabs for free so I took advantage.

I agree, had to take a Sino for a first jab, looking forward to the Astra follow up shot.
