Yes....and no issue obtaining the appointment, which also suggested no major delays this end .

Went to BKK vfs last week applying for renewal of child's passport. Was told to allow 11 weeks but to expect around 6 ( total turn- around time) . Took them just 3 days to debit my Visa card though !

Never assume anything when on Thailand's roads. Traffic signals, one way signs. use (or not) of indicators, pedestrian crossings etc can so often lend to a false sense of security given the appalling driving standards prevalent.
