Proper condos don't have shared AC systems, i never lived in one that has in Bangkok. Most proper condos have positive pressure and there should be no infection risk if you stay inside.
Our condo has this too, installed last week. also distance enforced, masks everywhere and sanitizer.
The same going with the recycled air going through communitial Aircon systems in the condo ... I was referring to such areas as :- Gyms .. Condo offices ... Juristic office....Reception areas etc ...As a rule these are communal areas and have A/C and have a lot of daily walk through traffic ( residents & visitors etc)
-
The positive and negative pressures caused by the lift going up and down in an enclosed shaft will helps to transmit the virus particles which are suspended in the air which can then migrate from floor to floor .this is airborne virus and no amount of cleaning surfaces which hinder airborne particulates from spreading,The same going with the recycled air going through communitial Aircon systems in the condo ...

All the evidence re :- COVID19 states living in a close confined living space with lots of shared areas ie :- Cruise ships , Hotels ,and even Hospital are the ideal breeding ground for this virus ( they are just a huge Petri dish )... should Condos be on this list ? and should the residents be worried ???.

Pattaya, high season, oxymoron.
I used the terms "High" and "low" both very loosely ... I have to admit it's getting harder each year to notice when one season start and one finishes ..The times are a changin and COVID19 is just accelerating the low end bar scenes demize RIP
-
I think this will be a good excuse for a lot of bars that struggle during low season to close down and send staff home and blame the COVID19 and then open during high season again .. it make sense

I had something very similar Mid November after a night on the town (Pattaya) . It started 3 days after visiting Pattaya, I felt feverish and under the weather for a couple or 3 days then I developed a dry hacking cough that lasted a further 3 weeks before clearing up ...the symptoms sound very similar to a mild case of this virus ...
But at the time I just thought it was a run of the mill bug that was doing the rounds at the time.
But now paranoia has stated to set in ????

The truth is .... the infection rate worldwide is now skyrocketing exponentially ....so Thailand can now start release and up their true figures to a more realistic and believable amount without losing there precious face ....

SAND , OSTRICH and BURYING ONE'S head comes to mind here .
The time to realize the "sh*t" has actually/really hit the fan in Thailand (Re:- COVID19) is when the shelves in the 7/11's are not being restocked on a daily basis ..that will be the true litmus test to how serious it actually has become and they'll be no hiding the facts then ????

Yeah why? have you pal?
Yeah .. I have had 3 GD in the past but never whilst living in Thailand .wonderful dog but sadly the breed is too short lived and I would imagine the high temperature and humidity here would shorten the life span even more ,

One question :- Have you had any experience of owning this breed of dog ?.

For your information.. I went to immigration for my 90 day registration this afternoon ...and ask why I could not register online ....her reply was you can only register online up to 15 days before and then up to 8 days before, after that you have register in person . So you only actually have a 7 days window of opportunity to register online ( earliest 15 day before and latest 8 days before your due date )

Buy only N95 (rated) surgical masks or higher ... the rest are all but useless only good for dust particulates and will not filter out smaller Virus or bacterium.

Coronavirus declared global health emergency by WHO.
The new coronavirus has been declared a global emergency by the World Health Organization, as the outbreak continues to spread outside China.
"The main reason for this declaration is not what is happening in China but what is happening in other countries," said WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
The concern is that it could spread to countries with weaker health systems.
It's starting to get serious now the "Genie is out the bottle"....

I keep getting a pop-up after submitting the correctly filled out form ..."refer to your local immigration office" ... any advice too to remedy this problem if I am doing something wrong
I tried all yesterday afternoon and from 08:00hrs today 30/1
PS tried using Internet explorer & Chrome to no avail

Hello . Has anyone got the web link for the online 90 day registration at Pattaya immigration ,Soi 5 Jontiem ??? the only one I can find seem to be a BKK address.
And is it worth the hassle or should just I just trundle there I like I've done every 90 days for the last decade or so..
and one last question how fast are they at processing the request if I go that route ?

This time last year in the US 19,000 people died of flu related causes.
It's youngest victim so far has been 48 years old. Most of them are over 60. All the deceased had underlying medical problems.
The worst that will happen if you're fit and healthy is a few very unpleasant days of illness.
I think it's time to calm down a little.
That is why I said ..quote :- "Should the Pattaya expat community be worried ????"
The majority of Expats are well over the age of 55 and what I have seen over my 12+yrs living here is that again the majority of Expat's do not live a very healthy lifestyle quite the contrary they seem to abuse their bodies at every opportunity :- "vastly over weight.. little to not exercise ..excess drinking, smoking and eating unhealthily etc etc .. this is just the kind of person that this virus will hit the worse ???? .
And to add too this a good proportion of this demographic has little too no healthy care insurance so will be financially unable to get good medical intervention at a crucial time ( a double whammy).the perfect storm for this " Grim reaper virus"

I live 20 klix south of Pattaya ...and I have noticed a marked daily increase of Khun Thai wearing surgical masks whilst shopping at the busy local markets ... The Thais are just as worried as the expat community .. I think this is not just as coincidence..
Even the scaremongering Western Press is starting to report this in a less sensational way and in a more concerned manner ..
Watch the share prices in "Surgical mask" sky rocket in the next few weeks ..

I have been using Dr. Anna in Bangkok Pattaya Hospital, based on many recommendations. She treated a mole, took it out with a laser and I was very happy with her.
Basic cost for investigation, nursing fee etc will be around 1.000, everything else depends on what she thinks necessary, i.e. biopsy, removal... you will get a quote to decide
I second Dr Anna as a recommendation ..

With the Chinese new year quickly approaching and with it a large influx of Chinese tourists .Pattaya could potentially be at a very high risk importing this new deadly VIRUS ...... confirmed cases have already hit Japan ,South Korea and Thailand .
The new strain of corona virus, which causes a type of pneumonia, can pass from person to person, China confirmed.
Signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties
Should the Pattaya expat community be worried ????
