  1. Are you sure about that ubonjoe, I've just started applying for the Thailand Pass and on the Thai Embassy London website it still says that is for applicants after 11 Jan 2022. Thanks.
  2. Hi ubonjoe, can you do this as I have been looking to enter Feb and on London embassy website it says if you enter 30 days exempt and want to stay longer you have to apply for a visa or am i reading it wrong. Thanks.
  3. Yes I used Testing for All, would recommend them, £99 and no problems.
  4. It doesn't have to be a PCR test now, it can be a Lateral Flow test.
  5. Really easy, you have to complete it within 48hrs of travel but you can start it and go back as often as you like.
  6. I used https://www.testingforall.org/, £99, that was in August.
  7. Thanks theoldgit I know you give a lot of sound advice. The reason for the 10yr visa is really in case my wife needed to get to the UK in a hurry. A little bit of background. I have been with my wife 20yrs and we have an 18yr old son. When you applied at the embassy we had 5 visas. They then outsourced to Regents House, 2007 I think we applied and got rejected, the whole experience was terrible and I said I would never apply again. Since then my parents have been travelling to Thailand. Our son has just started college in UK and my parents flying days are over, both in there late eighties. My wife will now have to start going to the UK again. Will we need the details of previous applications, not sure if we have any old paperwork.
  8. I have just been looking at an agency Facebook page and theirs a post about 2-5-10yr visa, is it as easy to get a 10yr as the 1yr, would save a lot of hassle to go that route.
  9. I thought it was all done online now. The only thing I can really provide from this side is a sponsorship letter.
  10. I want to apply for a visa for my wife for the middle of next year, fingers crossed that travel is back to some normality. Bearing in mind I am in the UK, my wife in Thailand and has zero computer skills, is an agent my best option. Any constructive advice welcome.
  11. How should I know, ask the BBC. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-58822439
  12. Yes, probably an Olive Backed Sunbird, common around our area and similar size and shape as a hummingbird. Bee-eaters are twice the size of Sunbirds, maybe a bit big. We get a lot of Chestnut-headed Bee-eaters in our garden, wish they would nest, beautiful birds and amazing to watch.
  13. I entered visa exempt in July and nobody enquired about my accommodation after quarantine other than what is written on tm6 & 8 forms.
  14. Done 2 COE's, February and July, didn't work either time and no one asked for it.
  15. Haha, good luck trying to get in with the visa stamped into a copy.
  16. It is really well organised at the airport. Depending on how many planes are in, 1st time I did it I was through in 20 minutes, 2nd time 1½hrs.
  17. I flew back a week ago. At present all you need is a PCR test, passenger locator form and 2 & 8 day tests booked. Things could change though, definitely thought they were going to on the last review.
  18. Have done 2 COE'S, London and Rome, found it an excellent service. The upload button did catch me out first time and even though it says it accepts PDF it only accepted jpeg's.
  19. Is there somewhere I can print off the application form for a visit visa so I know what they are going to ask for on the online application and have everything on hand before I start, thanks.
  20. Probably more hassle than its worth. The COE is as easy if not easier than the visa. My first COE I got a tourist visa, second one I was in Italy so did not want to send my passport off, came visa exempt, was easy.
