  1. bought it on Saturday (ps3) and haven't been able to play online due to a 'online pass check failed'.

Anyone else had and solved this issue?

What region is assigned to your PSN account? Must match the region the game was bought in. You need a PSN account, code and game from the same region.

  2. I have seen that 'toolbar' effect a couple of times, but in fact, it is NOT a toolbar.

Toolbars are installed into a browser, and would be there (if activated) on ANY webpage you visit, once it is installed. What I believe we are seeing (sometimes) is a piece of code that's part of the website, and doesn't modify your browser in any way.

I seem to recall that I told it to hide, and it hasn't been seen since, but it's been so long ago, I'm not sure.

There are MANY better reasons to not log in to TV than a simulated toolbar. Take your pick.

Yes it is, it's a web toolbar. Like you say different from a browser toolbar but to say it is not a toolbar is bizarre; a toolbar is just a strip of icons used to perform functions.

  3. Back in the UK I came across a nasty road accident with a car leaking petrol and a man trapped inside. His legs were almost completely severed. I took the decision to save his life and pull him from the wreckage, cutting away what little was left of his legs. Moments later the car burst into flames.

After he stabilised in hospital he sued me saying he'd of preferred to die. I won the case but the stress was horrendous.

Since then I stay well away from any accident in any country.

Sorry to say that the 1 bad experience has biased my view but an individual acting at an accident leaves themselves wide open to litigation. Perhaps this does not apply to the OP's case but we all know how litigation friendly Thailand is.

  4. Are you talking about the W i b i y a toolbar? I've only ever seen it on the home page of TV. And it's not software installed on your machine but a web toolbar loaded in your browser. i.e it's just code not 3rd party software.

  5. Applicant's passport, 2 x photos, application form, original marriage cert + copy and your passport + copy of bio data page is all that's needed.

Edit: no point going in guns blazing quoting EU law. If they ask for anything else just politely tell them it's not required under EU law. If they won't relent remind them you can take the issue to SOLVIT and they will have to explain themselves to the European Commission.

Sure some comments like that would make the OP the darling of the visa section.

Edit to add:I think you will be asked to show proof of tickets when the visa is approved and you go pick up the Passport.

    No.

  7. I flew to KL yesterday, and there was no water at all from Lad Prao to Swampy on the taxi route.

I live on Vipavadee 16 not far from Thai air/ lad Prao area.

I am beginning to feel that i overreacted. From all of the non-alarmist postings (and yes, I do pity people who are stuck in Rangsit)--it now seems that the situation has been "saved", at least as far as CBD, lad Prao and Aree are concerned. the BBC seems to be saying the same. Sure, there is peripheral flooding and sure, it is impossible to predict everything. But am I right in thinking that things are settling down?

I need to know, because I need to know when to fly back.

    Eddy

There was an evacuation order for people living along the klongs in ladpro today, as well as bang khen, lak si and jatujak. I dont think the situation is improving yet, regardless of what the twits at froc say.

    ^ this.

There are large boats now travelling down Vibhavadi just shy of Lak Si. There are scores of Army and Police all around IT Square. The water's coming people. If you live further down Vibhavadi please consider leaving - we changed our plan to get out early and only hours later roads to our moo ban were closed.

I'd really hate for people to leave it late and not be able to leave with the belongings they want to; i.e being faced with isolation or forced evacuation.

    Good luck to you all.

  8. I left along with everyone else in my moo ban. We managed to get out moments before they closed all roads to our property. Would have been a major cock-up if we stayed and became trapped, especially with a 2 year old.

I'd of happily stayed if I lived alone, but with a young child it would have been irresponsible to do so.

As soon as the Colnel who lives opposite brought soldiers in to move his family we knew it was time to go.

  9. Just an observation, when has tap water ever been safe in Bangkok?

The prime minister assured that tap water is still safe and the government has a plan to handle the situation if there is any problem about tap water supply. The water in Klong Prapa is used to produce tap water.

Do you shower and brush your teeth with bottled water then? Only cook with bottled water? Wash your dishes and clothes with bottled water?

  10. Just went along Vip-Rangsit (from Din Daeng direction) to the U-turn at Don Muang. Not one bit of water to see.

The Army are outside IT Square right now.

Klong Plem just starting to flood when I went up there today. By the VW Showroom on Vibhavadi.

DM tollway now free because of closures on Vibhavadi. .
