does this apply to a company owned house - or do the taxes paid by the company cover this ?
I recently had a visit from Pattaya City Hall and was given a bill for nearly 50K. They back dated it, but not for the full time i have been here.
7,500 a year tax.

Ah the old why don't they do something about this because the thing i like is under threat.
There is a difference between essential travel (that they are curbing because of work from home) and recreation.
But at least int he sky train the masks stay on unlike in bars and people dont voluntarily get closer or swap saliva (you know the thing girls and guys do when they get all hot and bothered after some alcohol) regularly.
Seriously if you can't see the difference, you are probably a bit bias and dependent on bars for entertainment.
I get it sucks, but to compare essential services with non essential is not the way to go.
Anyway they do same in the west, close bars and discos first as they are prime places for virus spread. But are more hesitant to stop public transport as that means people can't get to their work. I know for some its a valid comparison as it makes their hobby look less bad.
I am certainly not against bars to each his or her own but to deny its a problem is a bit crazy. But did you not get the memo where they advice people to work from home and the government is doing the same (that was a topic that was shot down as saying people in the goverment are lazy but then we got people like you saying they should not be in the sky train so whatever people decide its never good according to the Thaivisa experts).
I like almost everyone wish that this nightmare was over, i love to travel without problems go to croweded places like before. But that is just not a good idea. You see that hospitals are having problems in the west. Its not that far in Thailand yet but during the previous wave people died in streets and home and were searching for places in hospitals (maybe you forgot that too).
I cant imagine that people want those times to return.
Very rarely go to bars, sorry to disappoint your wrong vision of me.
You are arguing that essential travel is ok to spread covid, but relaxing in a bar is not. How strange.
There is little to zero proof that masks work at all anyway.-

With mask, yes!!! Did the people in the bars/restaurant wear masks? NO!!!
Results:- Active case finding at restaurants that sell alcohol in Pattaya and Banglamung, 23 cases
- Active case finding at restaurants that sell alcohol in Bang Saen and Wonnapa Beach in Mueang Chonburi, 20 cases
-
Active case finding in students at Burapha University in Mueang Chonburi (staffers and customers at restaurants that sell alcohol), 45 cases
..................
But there is no proof of masks working. And in counties that adhered to strict and quality wearing of masks, they did nothing to reduce the people catching it.

I am not out to rid the countries of bars. But can you deny what i am saying. That once alcohol flows people forget about social distancing and rules and bar owners cant and wont enforce. I mean its the truth.
Now if i was an alcoholic or a bar lover I would not be that happy with this logic either because it deprives me of my fun.
But it does not change the fact that this logic holds. (unfortunately)
I could not care less if bars are open or closed but the logic holds and bars are ideal for spreading covid.
There is a reason why in the west they closed bars and clubs first too. Its not just Thailand.
Many on this forum are here for the bars the girls and are now bored to death. I get it. But nobody likes this. I would have loved for all this to be over and have a holiday with my parents. But with these rules im not letting them come over.
Sitting on a bus or the skytrain is ok though.

On an individual level yes....
Someone who is vaccinated, double vaccinated and with boosters can still contract and pass on Covid-19.
This is because the Covid-19 vaccines do not have a 100% efficacy and have never claimed to have.
Additionally, real world effectiveness is always a measure less than efficacy.
We could find an individual who does not contract Covid-19 because he is vaccinated - it could be argued that vaccines work 100% (for him) and that would be flawed.
In much the same manner we find a vaccinated individual who does contract Covid-18 and some want to argue that vaccines are ineffective, again, this is fundamentally flawed analysis.
Vaccinations work on a community level.... think in hundreds of thousands of people rather than on an individual level and we can see that vaccines offer a greater level of protection than none.
The question was can vaccinated still get and pass on covid. They can
The science and knowledge is changing every day and there is a lot of false information from both sides of the argument.
Government scientists who have lied or misrepresented evidence have a lot to answer for. I would think people who find out their lies would be wary and rightfully so.

Once again cherry picking to misrepresent the fact the vaccines have prevented countless infections, serious illnesses, hospitalizations and deaths.
One has to wonder what you get out of your constant efforts to undermine the truth of how effective the vaccines are.
Not cherry picking, the question was asked if you can still get covid after vaccination, you can.
So one can get double vaccinated, booster and still pass on covid.

Did any of these fully vaccinated people test positive, break out of the quarantine facility they were in and then go on the run through multiple areas?
Unless they did the comparison is not valid.
It is relevant if vaccinated people pass on covid.
You break out of prison not a medical testing facility.

Covid-19 misinformation
Some of McCullough's public statements contributed to the spread of COVID-19 misinformation.[7][4]
McCullough testified before a committee of the Texas Senate in March 2021, posted to YouTube by the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, in which he made false claims about COVID-19 and COVID-19 vaccines, including that people under 50 years of age and survivors do not need the vaccine and that there is no evidence of asymptomatic spread of COVID-19.[27]
Posted on the Canadian online video sharing platform Rumble, McCullough gave an interview in April 2021 to The New American, the magazine of the right-wing John Birch Society, in which he advanced anti-vaccination messaging, including falsely claiming tens of thousands of fatalities attributed to the COVID-19 vaccines.[46] In May 2021, McCullough gave an interview in which he made claims about COVID-19 and COVID-19 vaccines which were "inaccurate, misleading and/or unsupported by evidence," including that survivors cannot be re-infected and so do not require vaccination and that the vaccines are dangerous.[28]

He is an arrogant, self centred spreader of disease who deserves severe punishment. Given the amount of Arabs and Iranians in the prison system he could be in for a hard time. His behavior is not unusual. Most expats who catch covid do not cooperate with the Thai authorities because they believe they are superior to Thais.
It's possible he spread the disease, but unknown.
As anyone who is fully vaccinated with the magic juice can do the same should they be given hard punishment too?Who are the expat you know with covid who think like that?

Take away ...........Northern thai food..........i buy Hang Ley from him
Bit difficult to explain where it is but if you were travelling on 3rd road and sat at the south road/3rd road lights heading towards Pratamak ,keep going and just before the next set of lights there is a road on your right that slopes off at an angle......................he is in the end shop house straight ahead of you on the "slopey" road
Best to go on the morning as when he is sold out he closes............his hang lay is good but i normally cook it for an extra hour to tenderise the belly pork a little more
Khao Soi too is good

The nightlife as we know it will be mostly gone, I think. The tourism-centred nightlife was declining anyway over the past 15 years. There will be 'naughty' nightlife, but it will be more 'Thai-style', i.e. karaoke bars in back alleys, rather than gogo bars in main streets. (There will still be some a-gogo and beer bars, but without the 'fun feel' of years past.)
I visited a restaurant here in in Pattaya over the weekend, the waitresses were extremely friendly and accommodating, the place was packed and buzzing.
I also heard quite a few bars are up and running as usual. -

As I said in my post more than 21000 dead from Covid just this year and that's since March. 12k road deaths is from the start of the year. Unknown the number that died from accidents at the hospital but one can venture to say that it would be when combined with the dead on scene that it would be less over all then Covid so far.
From covid or with covid?

I don’t see the point of the 90 day report, and completing it by computer makes it redundant as they don’t know who you are and where you are. Might as well dump it now. And if they screw it up and you don’t know, the onus will fall on you and not them. I will probably just pop in and do it as immigration is on my way to playing tennis, and then I have their piece of paper in my passport to remind me. It only takes minutes, but I do understand what a pain in the aspidestra it is for folks living hundreds of miles away from any office.
Also for people who like to travel. Planning to be away is fun, making sure you are in the right province is a right pain.
They could at least let you sign at any province.-

The visa issue as well TM39 and 90 day reports are like resolved by simply paying a agent to do them, so this is a man made problem optionally only. In terms of some here that comment on doing so for a secure future or for the vulnerable years, not sure how this would be better in Ecuador or Mexico to be honest.
Generally speaking no place on earth can offer sustainability, safety or security in 1-2-3 decades from now, western countries are going downhill faster by the year too. I'd agree with Zikomat that is hard to find a place comparable to Thailand unless you just wanna live cheap and stay at home all the time.
I've even tried Cambodia, Malaysia and Laos for a year, similar but not the same at all as it is here. Vietnam might come close by offering a very vibrant life but neither is anything close to Thailand. If there was such place many would go.The 90 day stupidity can be a real pain, if i wish to travel i have to make sure i return to Chonburi to do. Great if in the north or south of the country, not!
Why on earth it is still demanded is beyond and logic at all.
I admit i have not tried the online app, but most of what i have read about it is negative.-

This is the reason, masks do next to nothing. Being vaccinated means you can still catch and pass on covid.
