I live in Pattaya too never like to drive in and I mean never unless it is an emergency. What I do is take my car to the Bus station on Pattaya Nua, coming from 3rd road just before the bus station is a parking area for cars and bus the last few years I just take my bike I forget what it is for a car now. I believe a bit less that a hundred baht. Currently I just checked the Ekkamai bus schedule now running 119 baht, schedule starts at 5am and runs every two hours so that should be thereafter 7,9,11, etc prior to the pandemic due to traffic I would tell the lady that I want to get off at Udon Suk, which off up the stairs to the BTS. Recently to get my pfizers shots at Medpark I took the Van but they make a lot of stops ride to Ekkamai took around 2 and a half hours with post pandemic traffic. It open my eyes that the bus service, condition, the drivers were much more profession and enjoyable to take there isn't a comparison to me the BUS all the way.

And if they don't meet that amount will they get up and say with a straight face " we never said that where you get that information? " just like the October 1st opening?

Yes I think it is a bit of old age in all of us the problem we see it in everyone but ourselves the hardest thing getting old is being open to accepting others no matter how long you have known them. If the people coming into Thailand borders are legitimately vaccinated been tested prior to departure and arrival based on the science itself as to being vaccinated why would they be concern that those arriving will infect the rest of the population that isn't infected? Wouldn't that go against the plan to vaccinate more people in a month prior to opening? If they are scare of those coming in already vaccinated then why continue with the massive vaccination plan? From every thing that I'm reading with people coming in already from other countries which are far and far below the numbers the Thai leaders have projected the source of the spread isn't coming from the so call dirty foreigners. The borders that need to be closed or heavily restricted and monitor is their own, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, which they have admitted is the clear source of the current outbreak and will continue if they continue if they are hungry for Migrant workers who are sneak in without being tested for the good old sake of the almighty $$$$. The spread the last few months and thereafter was the continuation of migrants coming in untested then you got the hundreds crossing in the middle of the night again untested while everyone just turn a blind eye for the $$$$ and more $$$$$ then they mix them all in with workers that aren't infected in construction site and factories when they were off work they venture to the nearest local market to buy their food and continue the spread, then when the numbers are too high like in Chon Buri in the factories they close them while there is no work they are shuttle to other projects in other provinces thus the answer to those who ask " how did it spread " why wouldn't they tested. When it comes o Phuket, they announced they will vaccinate all the residents in Phuket then they announced it was going to open when that happen everyone jump on the bus and and headed to Phuket why, if it opens there must be jobs? And this happened before they even got off the ground to vaccination outside of Phuket! That is my simple no proof of how it spread!????????

Her family basically lives on the farm very isolated not in contact with many people she talks to them regularly and for as long as I could remember they couldn't care less if they got vaccinated in fact the mom never goes out or have contact prior she mother and family said no need especially if all you are offering is the Sino. I know they are updated on what vaccines is out even in the rich farm LOL, like my wife, son and daughter in-law they could have gotten the Sino even the AZ but are waiting I myself have already gotten both Pfizer the choice for everyone even the family in the farm I said I would pay for it if required is the Pfizer or Moderna. Funny? Up until yesterday I've heard of all the talk of Moderna including the private hospital taking deposits 1st time and as recently a few week ago for the second registration of course again with a 3300 baht deposit up front. Yesterday wife tells me she wants to go to BPH to check for herself as to what is available on the way she tells me her mother 85, older brother and sister up at Sukhothai were given the Moderna purchased and donated by the K--G ALL FREE! now like everyone I've read articles how tough it is for private to purchase vaccines yet all of a sudden Moderna pops up of all places Sukhothai????? I think with all the money the Thai government has and with all the donations being made by countries to help it is time to stop all this nonsense with DEPOSIT for vaccines the bottom line the leaders job is to save lives whatever their skin color instead of lining their pockets benefiting from a bad situation it should be ALL FREE FOR EVERYONE!

Head games again? when it comes to Thailand money talks so if you make sure a claim of payout more will take the chance of getting the vaccine even if it is the Sinovac? Regardless of the pandemic this should not be of any surprise to any of us whether Expat or not? Instead of having a well rounded plan for tourist they focus on one thing the big pay day that never comes. What this pandemic has shown they will never learn you can't change some people strips they couldn't care less about the majority of their people who are poor so I wish it was different for us expats but in the end it isn't never will be!
