  1. Crazily 19+ is by-the-book legal age for sex in Thailand. The exact law has been quoted in another recent thread where a teacher got busted for lower than 17 under-age sex. So you could get unstuck even if tinder etc classes 18 and up as adult and allowed. It's a law that can be enforced more often against foreigners...you can potentially be opening up yourself for extortion if you part with a chick in a bad way or parents hear of it...of course it would rarely be used against Thais.... You only think these westerners are angry at you..you are projecting and signalling your fear no dount. Just don't look at them....simple.
  2. I think simply they do not know the red flag system, or even register it as they step-in.
  3. Just swings and roundabouts depending on what ticks your box in UK vs Thailand. Been done to death...point out one plus point from either country and all the negatives soon pointed out. Dairy and beer may be more expensive in Thailand but no *council tax* pays quite a lot of that higher Thai costing on dairy/beer.
  4. Is it a bird, is it a plane....? It's....................a bird !
  5. I suppose people who do not swim frequently do not register a red flag and instead signs in multiple languages makes the penny drop for people about to go in the water if spaced near enough to see..or danger icons.... I'd not even think to look for a red flag and would assess wind/waves from the shore if going in at all...
  6. Yes. Work on your thought articulation, thread titles, caps and punctuation.
  7. "EXTRA EXTRA - Read all about it !"
  8. They exist solely I guess due to the migrant influx across Europe's porous borders - combined with their higher welfare benefits migrants maybe can claim vs other Euro countries ?
  9. Not even discussed back in UK where I am..non-subject/non-news event now. Everyone wants to forget basically.
  10. I feel for your situation...glad I have no kids and was in a long-term relationship north Thailand also. Just now I've escaped from her through events back in home country. It may be my stage-exit also, as we have compatibility issues. Be good if you could take your kid back but unlikely unless the mother allowed that.
  11. As far as I see on UK news websites this has almost no prominence in the news now. Variants are like a non-event.
  12. The most mind-numbing town in the world....= Savannakhet. Lots of very angry dogs at garden gates of every street it seems. Head to Bolaven Plateau via Pakse..careful though in rainy season after roads cave in !! Coffee cultivation zone.
  13. Jordan Peterson reminds me of Kermit the Frog with his voice. Sad state of affairs that he is held up as some cornestone of the revival of the "Men's Movement' whatever that is. Clean your room ? (his advice thing from his book) Sort your own head out first pal before lecturing others....guy is a sad snapshot of what gets into the mainstream help for men now.
  14. One thing that has maybe not been brought up is how informationally dense it is to lay white chix back in west now and the minefields of causes they support and how many red flags they have at every step forward. I'm having first-hand exp. of it back in west on dating apps...it's a tough game vs gaming Thai chix...think 20x on every step forward. This is with 30+ chix so there is more an element of long-term dating hoops to jump through. The language barrier is a blessing in Thailand - if you don't go native - but she has uni grade English...just enough to bond but not enough to polarise fast in preferences etc.
  15. Japanese and Korean = closer to infantile.... First hand long-term experience back in day of them...they act like kids by way of body language and tones.
  16. 7-hours is usually my threshold nevermind 7 months.... Something about that city of all cities that makes you both restless and bored stiff at the same-time. Never experienced anything like it anywhere. Did you get 1-2-1 counselling ?
  17. GOD, if the train does not go all the way to Vientiane proper then the Lao tuktuk will equal the international train fare. Those Lao tuktuk guys are non-negotiable rip-off artists with their no brake-pad scam taxis.
  18. you may have saved this guy's bacon..well done ! I wasted a wordpress site as an amaetur...I just hate dabbling in that stuff even at the gui tick box level or plug-ins that wonk something. I guess AI will soon be able to handle much of the coding and repair stuff soon.
  19. To the Thai mind it is a day's wage, to a foreigner - just another small annoying tollbooth to get out the exit of the airport and have fun...it would have helped with no insurance nightmare events that crop up on Go Fund Me. These Christian churches must get pulverised financially raising endless money for anyone identifying as a 'christian brother/sister in need'.
  20. I thought it would never happen to me - as someone still relatively young and tech-savvy - and it did in the UK during covid remote work time period buying a very large purchase. Scammers took over my lawyer's email system and diverted me to their deposit account. Got the money back eventually, but it was worst 4 weeks in my life I can tell you. Lesson for life on quadruple-checking at the end point of any larger cash transfers.
  21. A soapy jacuzzi with three 20-year-olds.
  22. Yes, if enforced it's going to impact the retiree visa applications 4sure and meanwhile they are trying to increase numbers with new and easier visas coming (in theory).
  23. Probably the 7th next Prime Minister in the next 2 years through the revolving doors will repeal the rule...welcome to the circus. They should all wear red noses in the govt. in LoS.
