  1. Long beer day ?
  2. I guess some that are eligible for these taxes may remit to their partner to get around it but she then may be liable for the lost revenue or the partner when it surfaces later through a papertrail. I bet it gets repealed like everything else in LoS as unworkable.
  3. After you had a good run and if any of those surface - I agree with you 100% after seeing the state my dad got in with dementia.
  4. God, are they at it again..revolving door like UK prime ministers.
  5. Grant Cameron (Canada) YT UFO/paranormal investigator had an episode on something similar. Blindfolded kids being investigated for these abilities. 90% cynics probably mock - but these patchy abilities can happen. It's the repeatability that is the issue at times.
  6. Yes, it seems to be 10x easier now vs likes of 2022. They must have had a trickle of money with the hoops people had to jump through. It was beyond riculous to apply and then the steps wher you could not select 'Does not apply' to get to next page...having to upload Jpgs with 'Does not apply' typed on them. Thai visa rule makers plus public sector web application site coders = perfect storm.
  7. Just reviving this METV thread to see if a council tax bill will do for step 3. This is from the LONDON-based Thai consulate site... https://london.thaiembassy.org/en/page/tourist-multiple-entries-visa Required Documents. Tourist (TR/Multiple entries). Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document Photograph taken within the last six months - If the photograph does not reflect your current appearance you may be refused to enter the Kingdom of Thailand. Document indicating current location - Applicant’s local utility bills (shows applicant’s name and address) e.g. electricity bill/ gas / mobile phone / rental agreement. Travel booking confirmation - Flight details showing applicant’s name, departure date, all flights en route from UK/Ireland/UK territories to Thailand and onward ticket to another destination. Proof of accommodation in Thailand, e.g. Accommodation bookings, invitation letters from family/friends in Thailand So simple vs 2022 application time !!!
  8. Did you ever try EMDR ? (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a comprehensive psychotherapy that helps you process and recover from past experiences that are affecting your mental health and wellbeing. It involves using side to side eye movements combined with talk therapy in a specific and structured format. Sorry for your troubles. I met a couple guys like you in Asia.
  9. maybe there has to be more scrutiny now with the remittance and new tax laws and tying it to the length of time the foreign recipient is in the country.
  10. I think that vaccine is a bit dangerous for side effects, was she OK after it ?
  11. Try magnesium threonate -it's amaaaaaaaazing... CBD tended to get me off to sleep, however it then wore off within 1-2 hours, and then I woke up. It's a specific kind of magnesium = oblivion. It can also even-out multiple agitating psychological issues (ADHD etc) to a degree due to the supreme sleep.
  12. What if the bottle is bigger than your 'junk' ?
  13. Is he blocked from running again by way of being in jail - probably not.
  14. Then he should start by looking in the mirror ?
  15. Key thing that puts me off long-term in Thailand is these horror bike events. Yes, it can happen anywhere but more-so with the mad driving style in LoS.
  16. "I'm siiiiinging in the raaaaain....!"
  17. Don't forget your 'seatbelt' to hold you in ! 😅
  18. Chiro. was short-term relief for me....and pricey. I bought a gym inversion table where you hook your ankles into the sponge area and removed the neck support part so I could fully hang inverted and with weight off my spine the issue resolved...turn over for 30 seconds and back up..do that 3x times..then off/then 3 sets a day...quite a lot of pressure into the head and eyes so only 30 seconds at a time for me. Then you can sell the table on - so its a 1-2000 Baht back fix finally.
  19. It's so common this isn't it ? Even if you bought the goods in question, from sounds of it they'd soon be pawned for cash by the sounds of it -sad but some guys are just set up as the family ATM... after they are taken through progressive 'hoop asks'...a common tactic...start small with big wins in mind...
  20. My ex Thai g/f used to always fear my Big C - I tell ya !
  21. I think it is first day of age 19 you can't be extorted by the parents...so good luck under 19...cradlesnatcher !
  22. Tell "your friend" to twiddle his thumbs till she is 20 "to be sure, to be sure". With foreigners, the law may not be applied as it is to Thais. I dated a 19-year-old when I was much nearer her age in LoS way back and she said at the time in theory her parents could complain as she was not 20.....= clear as mud then isn't it ?
