  1. Check the reviews. Recipient end fees, plus a few other " hidden extras" have been complained about by numerous customers.
  2. Agreed. Many reviews are 1 star. Just read numerous reviews on various review websites. I think I will stick with Wise, for simplicity and speed of receiving monies.
  3. Thank you for clarifying this and confirming my thoughts on the 190k deductible.
  4. If you log onto your wise account> send> enter £3000, it will show you the rate. You don't have to actually send the money. Scroll down and click on " "compare", it will list all other companies. And wise comes out 2nd from top, comparing amount received. But I prefer wise for swiftness of delivery. I've never tried western union so cannot comment.
  5. Yep. £18.81 using manual bank transfer.
  6. Understood. I verified my ID years ago when I opened my account. But if they ask for it again, it will not present a problem. I have set a communication code in settings> privacy, which Wise have confirmed by email. Thus, every time they write to me, it will show the pass code to verify that the email is from them.
  7. Manayek is an Israeli police drama and deals with power and corruption from within. Series 1 and 2 are excellent. Series 3 has been released, but so far unavailable on numerous movie/ series apps.
  8. That does not appear when I log in via the app, nor on their website, whichever way I log in. Maybe it applies only to certain account holders, and that's why you can see it, and I and others cannot.
  9. Do you have a link for that. I have just been onto their website wise.com and cannot find that notification. Nor is it on my account notifications. I'm not doubting you, just trying to find the info on their site. Thank you
  10. Why not give them a call to confirm the requirement. They are very helpful.
  11. I was addressing someone else. And I didn't mention income tax forms, nor where to enter any figures. I knew exactly what I meant, as I'm sure you did. And I'm sure others did as well. Even using your statement of the 190k is deducted from pension income, still makes no difference to the max amount I can use as a deductible. So let's just leave this and move on.
  12. Really? I cannot see any great differences between my list and yours apart from different definitions, which in truth are semantics.
  13. Not as far as I can see. My assessable allowances are: Me: 60k Wife: 60k Over 65: 190k 50% of pension 100k Ist 150k earnings before any tax is paid. Plus wife's medical insurance. Therefore, total allowances 560k, plus wife's health cover payments. So, I don't see where I can apply " expenses" as another deductible. Total
  14. Agreed. Why not just wait and see how this all pans out. I have no tax liability and even if I did, I would wait out until everything is officially announced and promulgated. Then and only then, would I consider my options. But each to their own.
  15. Thank you for clarifying that and the link. But as my wife and I are not earning an income, this doesn't apply in my case, as far as I can see. Notwithstanding that, I guess I will just wait and see how all this TRD proposal takes effect, if at all.
  16. Thanks. I already have that, and again, I have read it all through, but no classification of expenses or what they entail.
  17. What expenses? I cannot find anything under this as a deduction. The table that Mike Lister provided comes to 560000 in my case. But I don't see " expenses" as a deductible.
  18. You're welcome🙏🏻
  19. The only place I can find it, is on Channel 5. It was released on 9 July 2024. It might take a while to be released to movie apps.
  20. Many thanks. I have the allowable deductions as posted by Mike Lister. But I don't see any allowances for " "expenses". I'm not saying your table is incorrect. My deductible allowance including the 1st 150k before tax is deducted, come to 560k So, I guess we will just have to wait and see, if and when the TRD actually publish and enforce the latest statement for expats.
  21. What is the 100k you have listed as expenses? If my question is too intrusive, my apologies. I was just interested in that figure under "expenses" and what it comprised of.
  22. Send them an email.
