    I'm not sure you long you have lived here or if you are a Buddhist or not. I am Thai, not a Buddhist, but spent time in Suan Mokh, the temple of a revered monk, Aj Buddhadassa Bikhu, and assure you they are the pure form of Therevadn Buddhism. I've also spent time in McLeoad Ganj, studying Tibetan Buddhism, where I met HH Dalia Lama. I suspect you have been exposed to Chinese Thais, or perhaps gold-digging women ????

    No, animism is not Buddhism. Granted, there are small amounts of animism, fetishism, and Hinduism mixed into many Thais' beliefs.

    Time is cyclic. I've been regressed to a previous life, on TV. Do you think you are more knowledgeable than 3 billion Buddists/Hindus? Do you know more than the Dalai Lama, for example? I find that that humble people have clearer sight than others

    My neighbour died and one night it was l police who played cards all night. Lasted 7 days. My sister in law died aged 30, and there was a lot of grief and tears.

    Firstly, I would leave it totally at the discretion of your husband, who will understand the subtleties of such 'บุญคุณ' better than you. Personally, my wife noticed นะหน้าทอง and offered a religious artefact to the big guy.

    Khon Kaen, where I lived for 20 years, is the most corrupt area. I regularly saw Immigration police in the gold shop inside Big C, along the road from there. They would park their clearly marked van right outside the door. It costs 1 million baht minimum to get into that area, in a starting position. If you used an agent to get your extension, check to see if it was issued in Khon Kaen. If it was, better to get it fixed before being deported.

    Like all other rich Thai spoiled brats, he'll end up running a coffee shop. Most Thais are aware of the massive immigration corruption. If I had a visa by bribing an Immigration policeman/woman, I'd be panicking now.
