  1. I think I'll take a trip to Laos to sell my gold, which I buy with my foreign credit/crypto card.
  2. I could take in 450,000 baht without declaration from Laos, Cambodia or Myanmar.
  3. If it considered 'local' it is illegal. He might be allowed to give cross border remittance advice to US people but.... Claiming expertise in Thai tax law without proper credentials is immoral and shows deception, as well as could lead to criminal consequences. Does this guy even live in Thailand?
  4. Indeed. Unless Thomas Carden possesses a CPA license issued by the Federation of Accounting Professions (TFAC), which he doesn't seem to have, he is working illegally. Foreigners can't give advice on tax laws.
  5. Adil Khan and Qari Abdul Rauf DID renounce their Pakistani citizenship.
  6. The Refugee Convention does not require refugees to apply for asylum in the first safe country they enter. It allows them to seek protection in a country of their choosing, often based on family ties, language, or historical connections. Many asylum seekers in Calais have family in the UK, speak English, or have ties to former British colonies. Wouldn’t you do the same if your family were in another country? Seeking asylum where you have support systems is logical and human.
  7. The UK's commitment to granting asylum is not a political choice but a humanitarian obligation based on international agreements, like the 1951 Refugee Convention. Do you oppose this?
  8. Nothing to do with discrimination in the workplace Didn't Pakistanis' former Empress, Victoria, marry her first cousin, Prince Albert? As if this has anything to do with employment rate.
  9. I don't think so. It's so long ago, so these guys are stateless.
  10. The US sends aid to many countries with nuclear programs. UK only to Ukraine, Nigeria and Pakistan.
  11. Approximately £4 billion annually in Bilateral Trade (2023). The Pakistani diaspora in the UK is estimated at around 1.6 million people, making it one of the largest minority communities in the UK. The diaspora plays a key role in fostering cultural ties, remittances, and political influence.
  12. Really, hundreds? Recently, you mentioned there were few arrests, make your mind up!
  13. What about sending them straight back to where they came from, or put them all in labour camps? Other countries do.
  14. They are not Pakistani if they renounced their citizenship. Why should Pakistan take them? Similar things happen in Thailand with former Chinese.
  15. I certainly wasn't arguing against having a public inquiry as you said. Care to quote what you are accusing me of.
  16. In terms of group-based offences, 85% of suspects are white, while 7% are Asian and 5% are black. https://news.sky.com/story/child-sex-abuse-and-grooming-gangs-what-we-know-and-what-we-dont-from-the-data-13285420
  17. True, yet, we don't see people generalizing those offenders' religion in the same way as many are highlighting ethnic Pakistanis' religion. I wonder why 🫤
  18. Not yet that I know of but hopefully soon.
  19. I want a public inquiry, no idea what you are on about.
  20. Not much to ask. Usually, alleged facts have to be linked to.
  21. Muslims integrated successfully into Scotland when I lived there. Only about 1.5% of Scots are Muslim and if there are any radical clerics there are by FAR the minority! I agree these radicals should be deported. Immigration is a problem in Scotland but you continually blaming on religion is not productive in the least. Humza Yousaf is a prime example of a second-generation Pakistani-Scottish Muslim who was First minister. Anas Sarwar also, who is leader of the Scottish Labour Party. Muslims from Pakistan/Bangladesh are more willing to integrate into Scottish society than Brits I know who have immigrated to Thailand.
