Is This Going to Happen
couchpotato replied to baansgr's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Stupid even posting rubbish like this...you are only trolling for reactions. -
There is another example of this near Rayong. And their reasoning for a arrow pointing right for a left hand curve is ass backwards to our thinking. Yes the road curves left but the arrows point right because they want cars to keep over in their lanes and not cut the corner/curve. So there you have it.🚗

The Struggle for Supremacy: Can Trump Halt China’s Global Ascent?
couchpotato replied to Social Media's topic in World News
In 10-15 years China is world dominant.. USA, Russia, Europe will be a distant 2nd. China will have invaded Taiwan, will have naval bases in many Asian countries, and be propping up many African governments with money and business. The Belt and Road plan will reach to Europe with tentacles to Africa and the whole of the Pacific. Could go on, but that's the drift of the future. -

First question is your partner Male or Female. It could possibly change the procedures. With overseas marriage documents it is possible to have it properly registered in Thailand. But many hoops to go through.. Translations, Embassy certification, Foreign Affairs, etc etc. But yes it can be done.

utter rubbish. There are many Thai tradesman in many categories who do excellent work and do it correctly. You are obviously hiring the wrong people or are somewhat prestigious against Thai workmen in general. Maybe change your attitude.

Anutin: Investigation into Bangkok Building Collapse to Take Months
couchpotato replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I think the final report on the tradegy is going to be a comedy of errors. Substandard steel some places, possibly poorly constructed elevator shafts, corruption from the initial contract and plans, material not up to spec, concrete not properly cured etc, and the list goes on. But of course being Thailand the blame will be watered down substantially in the final report. Italthai will be blameless of course. -
British Man's Urgent Plea to Save Dying Father in Thailand
couchpotato replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
So the son was too busy before, but now all of a sudden he has a conscience. He should have dealt with this much sooner. As I posted earlier, it is gross negligence for this man's condition to be this bad. It is shameful. -
British Man's Urgent Plea to Save Dying Father in Thailand

A foot like that doesn't happen overnight, so it shouldn't have ever got to this stage. This is gross negligence by his caregivers. Whoever they are, they should be ashamed of themselves. -
British Man's Urgent Plea to Save Dying Father in Thailand

Personally I don't believe in 'Go Fund Me' requests. If people don't have the means to take care of themselves during good times and bad, they really shouldn't be here..don't put their plight onto others. IMHO. Also the person this thread is about, looks far to sick and feeble to be flown anywhere, and should be taken care of here for as long as he's got. This is sad but there is a time when people just have to let go. Once again IMHO. -
Thailand at Risk of More Unpredictable Earthquakes, Experts Warn
couchpotato replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
That's the best I've heard for a while...."fill in the fault lines with concrete".... laugh for today😀 I am going to believe he actually knows what faultlines are, but reading his post, I'm not so sure. -
Missing Tsunami Warning Towers in Phuket Spark Safety Concerns
couchpotato replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
Information. The Tsunami buoys cannot be properly maintained by Thai personnel, except for basic maintanence. They are very sophisticated and initial cost was over one million USD per buoy when deployed after the 2004 Tsunami. These buoys are useless as stand alone and for accurate data they must be used as an array (at least 3). They are initially tethered to the seabed, but due to nature, fishing nets and actual cable theft they can drift, which of course renders any data practically useless. The towers and the buoys were great knee jerk reaction ideas after the Tsunami (albeit very good ideas), but without money and resources allocated for long term maintenance they become obsolete..sad but true. -
