    The auto industry here is hurting very bad for multiple reasons. The below sums it up well and we will probably see more of the same new in the future. But the company will save on water costs. Reduced electricity cost.

    10,000 EV stored and not selling. Oh, no! If the below is correct, it cost 50,000 baht a month to store a car at the port. There are a lot of them close together, around 10,000 cars, equivalent to an area of about 200,000 hundred thousand square meters. If calculated as rental prices, it's around 80-100 baht per square meter per day. 1 car uses an area of about 15-20 square meters....

    I think BYD will be struggling to produce even 20,000 vehicles in 2024. They might be up running by September at 5,000 vehicles/month or a vehicle every 9 minutes.

    Add July, August and possibly September to the 43,981 units BYD has already sold in Thailand 🇹🇭 and they will be close to 50k. It will limited how many units they can produce locally in 2024, so they will have to produce 1.5x that number in 2025. Is that even possible and what happens if they don't match their sales numbers?
