  1. This guys actions were simply wrong.I'm a very semi retired Uk cabbie with over 30 years experience. If someone a'int got the fare it a'int gonna bankrupt me.Sometimes they ask can they drop the fare in the office tomorrow&for some tomorrow never comes, but others keep their word and drop it in along with a decent tip.People are people.

I have to say though,in Thailand in 9 out of 10 cabbie/passenger disputes it's the cabbie that's the perpertrator of the crime. If I in the Uk was accused of anything whatsoever I'm immediately suspended pending a final outcome.A situation I'm proud to say has never occured to me in those 30 years.

  2. Hi Guys&Gals

I hopefully should be down in Pattaya within the next 10 days.

Please can anyone tell me if they have bought any of these pastes in Pattaya recently, and if so from where?

They were everywhere in all the usual supermarkets up here in Phitsanulok last year.now nowhere to be seen.

It is specifically the pastes in the packets (as shown) and not the sauces in the jars that I require.

As well as the Korma paste, they also done Massala,Butter Chicken and Bombay Potato pastes, and I'm interested in purchasing any or all of them.

Not sure if maybe they've discontinued them,as is per usual when one is just starting to enjoy something, but if anyone can help me out I will be truly grateful.

    Many Thanks.post-119748-0-36173700-1454403697_thumb.

  3. Thailand has always been a buyers market.Pattaya especially. This is not the UK whereby you can put your property up4sale in the morning and by the same afternoon you have 4 viewings and offers coming in by the next morning.

In Pattaya the housing market is saturated, but they continue to build. With so many farangs and their differing circumstances,it's easy to find an absolute bargain if you have the cash, but buy it in the knowledge that you either want to rent it or stay in it long term, even leave it to your kids.In other words buy if you can afford to lock your money into a property and forget about it&don't count on it as an asset, that may well prove very difficult to sell should you need to.Land is a better proposition for investment imho, also requires little upkeep.

  4. I run 2 houses, admittedly owned outright,3 small motorbikes,a wife and 2 kids who are always well dressed. All four of us eat like horses, pay the bills,I dont go out very often choosing to have a beer at home instead and smoke as well.My pleasures are simple.Me and the wife go out most days on my bike and enjoy the country. My wife manages all this up here in Phitsanulok on 20k a month with a 5k a month back up,as well as money in bank for visa etc that is hardly ever needed. So of course it's cheap but no where near as cheap as in 2007/8 when my houses were built getting 70-80 baht to the pound.

Finally before you ask,my wife is not available to act as a financial guru to all those who can't manage money.
