  1. The father of a friend of mine was stood in line to receive an award from the Queen for his service to British engineering. As she approached him, she leaned forward and said in a quiet voice, 'Any tips for the 2.30 at Epsom?'
  2. She truly understood the meaning of duty and quietly played that role throughout our lives, earning our love and respect consequently. I can't imagine the UK without her
  3. i guess that love is like a Christmas card You decorate a tree, you throw it in the yard It decays and dies, and the snowmen melt Well, I once knew love, I knew how love felt Yeah, I knew love, love knew me And when I walked, love walked with me And I got no hate, and I got no pride Well, I got so much love that I cannot hide Yeah, I got so much love that I cannot hide
  4. Later they incorporated parts of this with 'Blowing Free' in live gigs, great on yer feet stuff. Nice opening riff from Peter Frampton, reckon it 'influenced' Angus Young's 'Back In Black'
  5. Two years I planted various trees around the farm, I was going for hardwoods. Now I can't remember what they are! I'd be grateful if a fellow tree lover could identify any of them. Second query, several times I've noticed what appears to be some kind of streamlined bird with a long slender tail, flitting between trees at a very fast rate. I'm wondering if it's a kind of bat, I'd love to take a photo but its far too fast for that. Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?
