  1. Another case Padipat faces. https://thepattayanews.com/2023/08/21/move-forward-deputy-house-speaker-in-new-controversy-over-bbq-party/
  2. Take it Pita, you automatically get a place on many parliamentary committees, and you're going to lose the Deputy Speaker's position because Padipat posed with a beer on social media.
  3. After May they lose the right to select the PM but they remain until replaced. Some one up on the law can stipulate what happens if a bill is introduced replacing the senators with elected ones. Can the existing senators vote post May to deny that?
  4. The public might well be able to judge if he's sitting up in bed, smiling, busy on his phone.
  5. Oh no! What will Pheu Thai do if Thaksin is charged with less majeste, and found guilty? Could there be a rapid U-turn on their 112 Article policy?
  6. But PT couldn't wait because: 1 Its owner wants to come home 2. PT want to be in power, never mind who with and to hell with their promises to voters.. It's illegal to intentionally deceive voters in Thailand.. If someone can prove PT had every intention of teaming up with the junta uncles before the election, they should be dissolved.
  7. I imagine the CCTV cameras would be there too as it's part of the prison complex Jatuporn, as an ex-prisoner, explained the ubiquity of cameras was to ensure 24 hour coverage of prisoners.
  8. Eventually their MPs will, if they fear losing the next election.
  9. He won't have come back without cast iron guarantees his time in the slammer is short. Wissanu, the junta's legal wizard and legaliser of coups, has already said that Thaksin's cases could be bunched together under one pardon. Apparently the family are preparing the papers, all speed ahead! I read the whole process could take a month or two. Still, even if Thaksin is fully pardoned, PT will be a prisoner as long as Thaksin is still alive, forced to toe the line by the old order. Thaksin sold his party's soul for his liberty to return to Thailand. He should have stayed in Singapore and flown his grandchildren over every other weekend if he really missed them
  10. As Jatuporn explained, there are CCTV cameras all over the prison, these could reveal how 'sick' Thaksin was.
  11. PT have committed an unforgivable act of treachery in order to bring their owner home. They can only hope their populist policies will keep the grassroots loyal but the bitter taste of betrayal can never be erased.
  12. Jatuporn is funny: '(He) applauded the prison hospital for its swift diagnosis of these four diseases with only a stethoscope'.
  13. Settha is just reminding the Thai public that the establishment told him to do nothing to alter the status quo.
  14. PT are a minority in their own government. Plus their owner is 'a captive guest' of the authorities. They will not get to appoint, or better, arrange elections for the next senators without support from MF.
  15. Both Adisorn and Chaturon fled Bangkok, to Laos and the jungle respectively, after the October 6 massacre. Neither should be able, conscience wise, to remain in a government with a coup leader and supporters
