Unforgivable war crimes committed by Russia on the battlefield
bannork replied to AndreasHG's topic in The War in Ukraine
Every US dollar well spent. Ukraine has atrophied Russia's army, leading it to consist of released prisoners and north Koreans who don't even know who they're fighting. And not one US soldier as been killed, barring those brave souls who volunteered. -
NATO didn't 'endlessly push east'. After the Soviet empire collapsed all the eastern European countries that had been under Russian rule applied to join NATO and the EU. They wanted the same rights as the West, national sovereignty and democratic rule Putin realised if Ukraine followed suit, as they wished to, then his own autocratic rule could come under threat as Russians demanded similar freedoms. The dictator is scared of losing power.

Zelensky's comment about Trump living in a Russian misinformation bubble was so spot on. The Western world outside Maga despise Trump and his sycophantic amoralist 'government' and their constant insults to allies such as Canada, EU, etc Donald ' no mates' Trump is persona non grata from now on.
-
Constantly reminded that it's Putin who has caused all the damage and destruction that Trump laments has happened to Ukraine, Trump refuses to state the obvious. What has Putin got on him?
-
Some Ukraine haters like to refer to Zelensky's previous job as a comedian. They should remember Donald's attempt at light humour. Finger lickin good!
-
Are you sure you're not confusing Zelensky with Putin regarding villas? Putin has some very grand buildings.

Trump Joins the Axis. NATO Dead. WW111 Imminent?
bannork replied to Old Croc's topic in Political Soapbox
Two of the leading neo Nazis in the USA, plus the original, all giving the Nazi salute. And let's not hear any nonsense about they were just waving to the crowd. When someone waves to a crowd their arm is usually bent, the palm of the hand cupped and the fingers outspread as in the Obama example below. -
lol. Russia said they would be in Kiev in three days, three years ago.

Ukraine will fight on with European backing against the murderous Putin who has killed so many .Trump and his fellow appeasers should be eternally grateful to Zelensky because Ukraine has crippled the Russian army without one American soldier losing his life. Long live Ukraine, three heroic years of fighting a blood thirsty autocrat. Down with American appeasers, cowards the lot.

He's kind of insane to talk drivel publicly (Zelensky has 4 % approval rating, Ukraine started the war), he must know he's just made this up and no one believes him. Or has his narcissism so taken hold he thinks he can just make things up and so they're true? Either way he's seriously deluded and needs to spend time recuperating in some mental asylum.

A couple of posters on here have been going on about supposed neo- Nazis in Ukraine. But apart from Musk, we now have another in the good ol USA. Steve Bannon, seig heil!

"The United Nations has devolved into a platform for tyrants," stated Senator Mike Lee from Utah and Republican politicians have initiated efforts aimed at withdrawing the United States from the UN. Republican politicians are concerned that the United Nations does not advance U.S. interests and is not aligned with President Donald Trump's "America First" policy, according to Fox News. Bye bye Donald no mates Trump.

Good to see Stephen King back in the public domain He made an unexpected return to X/Twitter on Thursday (20 February), just before the release of The Monkey, a new horror film based on one of his short stories. In his first post, King jokingly wrote: “I’m baaaack! Did you miss me?” The writer then quickly followed this up by adding: “Just wanted to say that Trump is a traitorous, Putin-loving dips***! Goes double for Elon!”

This is your state department talking about Kosovo Serbian military, paramilitary and police forces in Kosovo have committed a wide range of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and other violations of international humanitarian and human rights law: forced expulsion of Kosovars from their homes; burning and looting of homes, schools, religious sites and healthcare facilities; detention, particularly of military-age men; summary execution; rape; violations of medical neutrality; and identity cleansing. — Report released by the U.S. Department of State, Washington, DC, May 1999

NATO bombed Kosovo in 1999 to stop the ethnic cleansing of Kosovar Albanians by Serbian authorities.

Where's the nuclear Armageddon? Three years of Ukrainian resistance and Putin daren't nuke because he knows what he'll get back. Excuses for betraying a sovereign nation Trump is a disgrace.
-
He wants to give Ukraine to a murderous regime. He's an appeaser to a murderer.
-
So if Putin is terrified of Trump, why is Trump caving in to him, giving him everything he wants?

There was no advancement east. After the collapse of the Soviet empire, every country in eastern Europe was delighted to gain autonomy and sovereignty. Determine its own future. They all joined the EU and NATO voluntarily. NATO is a defence force. Unlike Russia they have never invaded another country. Putin is a murderous despot, at home and abroad. The world knows this but Trump and his goons ignore it because he likes macho nationalists, empire expanding immoralists such as Putin. 'Yea, we can carve up the world together and split the Russia- Chinese axis, to hell with Europe and its emphasis on self determination and human rights' That's the mentality of the immoral goon in the White House

No, it's your hero, Trump who has bent over to Putin, desperate to share Ukraine's riches with a murderous despot. Starmer will ask for US back-up to support Ukraine, saying it's vital for the free world, but he knows he's just going through the motions. Europe will stand behind Ukraine regardless of the morally bankrupt Maga brigade.
-
Why does Trump support Russia? Lewis makes four important points. 1. Misinformation, Maga cultists are radicalised by lies from the Kremlin and their Maga supporters. 2. Trump etc have the same ideology as Putin. They like he's an autocrat, a traditionalist, anti liberal. Note Vance's support for the far right AFD. 3. Trump sees financial opportunities if peace is made with Russia. 4. Geopolitics. Trump dislikes China and wants to wean Russia away from China to form an alliance with the USA.

Updates and events in the War in Ukraine 2025
bannork replied to cdnvic's topic in The War in Ukraine
According to The Sun and other sources, Ukraine has taken a leaf out of the Israeli plot maiming Hezbollah pager operatives, by blinding eight Russian drone operators in a sophisticated setup using explosive goggles. Zelensky’s men are thought to have sent these booby-trapped glasses to Russian soldiers through volunteers in a pager-style trap.
