Right. Exactly like myself and many others. When foreigners are making plans for a 60 or more day trip they make plans right now , last week or before or in the next coming weeks. They also spend a lot of money no matter what some may say on here. Do they even know what a " snowbird " is?? There should seriously be a snowbird visa 180 days once a year. Maybe $200-250Usd. Oh, and NO tell us where you are staying for 180 days BS. Lol -

"Any final decision on extending visa arrival times will need to be endorsed by the incoming tourism and sports minister and be gazetted, which can take up to 90 days." Quoted from article. So around Dec 1 it could be done!! High season has started and people don't buy / plan a trip to Thailand a couple weeks before going. They make plans NOW for high season. I hope this isn't typical stupid backwards thinking. -

In the past they offered free 60 day tourist visas and even free double and triple entry tourist visas. This is better because it seems to be visa exempt. People will certainly come longer and spend a lot more so hopefully this outweighs the extension fee. -

I think you are exactly right. This in NOT a visa. Now my only thought is could we leave a for a day or week or two and come back after the 90 days with one more 90 day visa exempt? Or would it be 30 + 30 ( for 5/6 month snowbirds like myself) -

No one who checks your info for a METV or Tourist visa would actually check if your onward ticket after 60 days is valid. How does one even talk to a human at air Asia or a host of other airlines even if you process the ticket yourself and need help or something??? So I am the person who "came along and said this" This by the ways is not an " attitude" it's a simple fact. Also there IS a need to pay for an onward ticket because it's a rule. -

I have zero comments about Fox. Why the deflection? -

There's a lot of lying on CNN. Even their last couple years of covering up their own staff and higher ups crimes and convictions is newsworthy everywhere else but CNN. Quite a bunch of losers over there pointing fingers at anyone else but themselves daily. -

Best Place to apply for e-visa in USA

I'm pretty sure you have to send it to ONE exact office. Your home state address would dictate this. For example all New England states go through the NYC consulate on the drop down on e visa application. You don't want to pick the wrong one. -
Silom Songkran is a completely water downed version of for sure 2015 to 2019 Songrans. Silom Rd is open to traffic on both sides this afternoon with people on sidewalks just not having the old fun. The side sois are practically empty. I don't see this Songkran being the big money maker another thread suggests. Maybe 2024 will be bigger.
