We just started selling this policy here at the shop. It is done through Asia Plus. They are a reputable company and you won't have any problems dealing with them. It is a great option for owners of smaller bikes looking for coverage.
Do you have an English version of the brochure Brian?
Here are the policy details in English.

Medical Coverage
Rider - Max 50,000 Passenger - Max 50,000
Property Damage

Third Person Coverage

In the documents i got from asiainsurance there is another paper. I guess it is explaining details for the repair payment of the own bike (up to 10,000 Baht). Or does it explain details for all payments? I am not sure. Maybe someone can help?
As far as i understand they only pay in case of a collision with other street vehicles.
They do not pay (repair of own bike?) in case of
- collision with houses, power poles, animals, people, ...
- collision with parts of road works
- damage caused by swerving maneuvers
- you just let your bike drop
- collision with water vehicles(?)
Everything above would be covered either by the property damage clause or the own damage clause.

I made this insurance for my two scooters. Here the scanned details (insurance paper) i got from asiainsurance. I have tried to translate it. In the second column there is some diagonal writing (Point 1, 2 and 3) that i do not understand 100%. Maybe someone can help? Please correct me if there is something wrong. Thanks.
Third Party Liability (first column)
1) Bodily injury that exceed the amount under the Compulsory Act only:
300,000 Baht/Person
10,000,000 Baht/Accident
2) Property Damage
600,000 Baht/Accident
2.1) Deductible
0 Baht
Own Damage, Theft and Fire (second column, diagonal writing)
1) Own Damage (only accidents on streets; no "water accidents"...)
10,000 Baht/Accident
2) Deductible
1,000 Baht/Accident
3) ???
Coverage as per endorsements (third column)
1.1) Loss of Life, Dismemberment, Permanent Diability
Driver 1 Person 50,000 Baht
Passenger 1 Person 50,000 Baht
1.2) Temporary Disability
Not Covered
2) Medical Expenses
Not Covered
3) Bail Bond
100,000 Baht
I believe the coverage amounts for your bike are as follows.
Third Party liability
Bodily injury: 200,000 baht per person / 10,000,000 per accident
Property damage: 500,000 baht per accident
Own damage, theft and fire
Own damage: 52,800
Theft/fire: 52,800
Personal accident
Loss of life, dismemberment, permanent disability: 100,000 baht for both driver and passenger
Medical expenses: 100,000 baht (driver) 50,000 baht (passenger)
Bail bond/accident: 200,000 baht

Loads of genuine Honda accessories for the Zoomer-X. Here are some pics from the brochure.
Cool, I like the look of that yellow jet fighter style helmet in the first pic, I wonder what kind of safety standards that has...
I think it is made by Rider. Pretty good quality, but it probably only has the TIS cert.

We've got them (black, silver, and brown) here at Sumet for 2,950 if anyone is interested.

I've only got a couple in stock at the moment. I am expecting more next week. If I get enough of them, I'll buy one to use as a test ride bike. I'll let you guys know as soon as it is available.
Looks alone it appears lighter than an Airblade; shouldn't it perform essentially the same?
Well they are both 110s, but the Zoomer has bigger tires and what looks to be a much better suspension. I won't know for sure until I've actually ridden it though.

Can you confirm us 100 percent that this bike will be released?
Or is it just rumors again?
I dont care if it has an abs or thin tyres but will it be definitely released in Thailand?
Hope to hear.

Sorry, I can't confirm this particular model 100%. I do know for sure that Honda will have three locally made big bike models available early next year though.

No, but I'll have Pam translate it. I'll try to get it posted here tomorrow.

They are going to be sold out the Big Wing Centers at a set price. Even if the existing dealer network end up selling them, expect a set price.
So you do know more!
Ply us with as much information as you are allowed.
Actual displacement.
Cost.
Place of manufacture.
ABS/non-ABS options?
Performance.
ETC.
All I know for sure is that it will be made in Thailand. If it is in fact a 500cc twin, I would expect a price of not more than 200,000 baht. It should have an ABS option since the 250 already has it.

I thought Brian knew nothing?
I hear the rumors just like you guys. I hear them first though. 555

Do Sumet take orders on rumoured bikes?
I really wish I could, as I suspect this bike is going to sell quite well. As far as I know, they will only be sold out of Honda Big Wing Centers. Perhaps if they sell well enough of them, regular dealers will be allowed to sell them as well.

Not sure about Kawasaki, but here at Sumet we usually provide finance for customers in the Bangkok area only. It makes it easier to repossess the bike in the event of non-payment. It might be best just to give them a call and ask.

Just for comparison and to confirm it's not the existing CBR600F/RR, I used my old password to the Honda VPO (Virtual Press Office) to pull out some CBR600 images (didn't bother to re-size the high-res files, for those of you who enjoy bike pr0n):

CBR600RR
Ha ha, I actually nicked it from Siampregger's post in the New CBR 400 thread.

A 500 makes me think it will be using the engine bits from the 250 single and making a twin, since they spent all that money developing that engine from scratch. Nothing wrong with that, at the right price I'll bite.
I agree, it sounds like the most practical way to do it. It will also keep manufacturing costs down as they can use existing lines. Also, in fairness, this is a sneak pic from a mobile phone of a bike that isn't being released for another 4 or 5 months. I'm sure the final product will look much better.

Sorry, guess I jumped the gun. No top secret info, I know as little as you guys.SINGLE FRONT BRAKE DISC???!!!!
Assuming I am right, than weight should be less than an ER-6 which gets by quite well with a single front disk.
Not sure about the faired version, but I think the naked one might actually be the NC700.
You and I must be looking at different bikes. Front fender is different, headlight is different, front disc is different, 'fuel tank' is different, rear foot rests are different, front and bottom fairings are different, the rake of the forks (to my eye!) is much more stretched out on the NC700s, seats are different, case cover is different, etc.
The funny thing is that I was just going to complain that I wish everyone didn't know that you were a dealer and you could provide us with top secret information!

Although, now that I look at it more cosely, the front fenders are different. Everything else looks the same though.

Yes, that's part of it. Honda has also arranged some track time for us. It's going to be a blast ripping around Sepang on the Fireblade. I'm looking forward to the ride down too. Are you still going?

I'll be going on a Honda Big Wing sponsored trip. They are going to ship our bikes to Hat Yai. We will fly down, collect the bikes, and ride to KL. I know some of you guys have ridden in Malaysia, any advice? Thanks.
