Have been promising the wife a new Motorbike
She wants a new red Spacy I
Looks like the 12" wheels and tubless tires on the the new Scoopy would fit right on. What would be the out the door cost of the Spacy with the added wheels, and tubless Tires ?
Don't need a Helmet or jacket or any of the Honda give aways. just bike, plate, book, and the required basic insurance
The Spacy itself is 42,000 (includes book, plate, and basic 3rd person insurance). Just let me confirm the price of the 12' Scoopy wheels with tubeless tires and if they will work on the Spacy. Thanks.
Brian
I know tyhey work have seen a few bikes this way at dealers
Just wanting the priceing and if that is a trade in price on the old wheels and tires or they go along with it
Thanks for your help
Here is a breakdown of the cost of the S12 mags and tires:
Front mag: 2,300
Rear mag: 2,400
Front tire: 1,200
Rear tire: 1,400
Total: 7,300
Sorry, but I couldn't take the Spacy rims and tires as a trade in. Thanks again.

This thread strikes me as an ad for cheap Chinese bikes.

Just ordered a 2012 CBR1000RR US spec, should arrive in 6 weeks and it'll be headed straight to the track to see how it compares to the 08.
Have you gotten it yet? I'm curious as to what you think of it.

How is it in the city sumet?
Do you ride it often on the city roads?
Thanks.

It took some getting used to moving up from a 250, but now I get through the traffic just as easily as I did on the 250. I thought the mirrors were fixed at first, but they actually fold in. Splitting lanes is now no problem in city traffic. It does get a lot hotter than the 250 though. I'd say my riding has been 50/50 city riding/touring.

The Fireblade really isn't made for two, but if you ride with a pillion from time to time this seat makes a world of difference. It keeps the passenger from sliding back and fourth during acceleration and braking.
I also picked up a K&N filter and ordered an Akrapovic exhaust from Hong Kong last week. I'm waiting to get a new ecu before I install them though.

Another advantage in traffic is its low center of gravity and low end torque.

Hey Brian, when do you think we'l be able to find out what the locally made big bikes will be. Will you be selling them? Cheers

There should be info out by the end of the year. I've been told there will be three locally made models, with the possibility of the existing dealer network selling one of them. Thanks.

Hi thanks i PM Brian yesterday but see he is in Hong Kong for a few days,i will order the wings off him and get them shipped to Pattaya.Hi Marstons,
The tyres are IRC Wings. Brian from SumetCycle (sponsor) sorted them for me. Personally, I think they are great. Good in the wet and a good compound. Mine are fitted onto 13" mags but they are available for 14's too. Mine are wider than standard but I prefer more rubber on the ground.
YSS shocks are a definite improvement. Probably the best upgrade you can make. Be aware though that they come in different configurations. XL ....XXL etc. This relates to weight carried. 90kg, 110 kg etc.
I have attached a link which shows you. I have the G Euro's which cost around 3,700 baht. You can go much higher than that though, depends what you want to do with your bike.

Contact Brian at SumetCycle for more info. His wife Pam, is also around and is pretty knowledgeable.
Will give the shocks ago, looking on the site they are cheaper it appears than Mai Thai but will see if he will price match the store in BKK.
Thanks for the info, great looking bike.
I sent a PM this morning with the tire info, Marstons. I also have the YSS shocks you mentioned for 3,600 baht. Thanks.

I Have the IRC wings on my 150 and wondering other than looks what are the advantages of running the 13 in wheels as opposed to the 14s which I have.
The smaller wheels will allow for quicker turns, but you might feel the bumps a bit more. Mainly people do it for aesthetic reasons though.

I've toured with the new Integra which has the same engine as the NC700. I would argue that it is great for both the city and long distance touring. It is very comfortable for both the rider and pillion. I was on a Fireblade and another guy was on a Goldwing. The Integra had no problem keeping up and handled beautifully in the turns. The dual clutch system and lack of engine braking do take some getting, but I think it is great to be able to switch from auto to manual with the flick of a switch. There aren't many new riders entering the market nowadays. Honda wanted to make an easy to ride vehicle that would appeal these riders. When I did my last Bigwing rider training 80% of the bikes were NC700s with a lot of new riders, so I guess Honda's plan is working.

DBS makes some really nice full system exhausts for the CBR 150. The sound is really nice and they claim a 15% hp increase. I've had a couple of customers put them on their bikes and they are very happy with them. If you are interested, send me a PM. Best of luck.

Hi Brian,
Do you stock the Givi E231 rack for top box (for PCX)? If so, what's the cost?
Cheers
I don't, but I think my brother-in-law sells them at his shop. I just sent him a message. I'll let you know. Thanks.
-
FYI: I'm going to be in Hong Kong and China from Aug. 1st to 5th. I'll try and keep up with messages the best I can, but I won't be able to fill any orders until I get back. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

Hi Brian,
You have a PM.
Thanks, I just replied. Any chance you could post some pics of your bike?
-
Brian, I have about 250 LED strips if your interested.
Thanks, but I've got plenty in stock here at the shop.

Hi Brian. I sent you a pm a few days ago, did you happen to receive it. It was about parts for the cbr 125R.
That bike was never sold here in Thailand so I am not able to get parts for it. Also, we no longer ship outside of Thailand. Thanks.

Thanks Brian. I can be up by 10.00 am tomorrow if that's ok. I will definitely be traveling Sunday.

I've got the exhaust and air intake in stock. If I can't get the air intake pics up, you can have a look and decide tomorrow. I guess that just leaves the side panels. They are still at the paint shop, but I'll see if I can have them here for tomorrow. Thanks again.

Thinking Of Buying A Scooter, Which One Is Good?

The new Honda Spacy would be a good option. It's the cheapest automatic Honda has out at the moment. If you do the regular service and oil changes you won't have any problems either. It also has a lot of under-seat storage for shopping. Best of Luck.
