  1. And here is even more recent news (note that the article is less than 10 minutes old...) https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-58423152
  2. Virtually all wars are prolonged because huge profits are made. Its why drug dealers and arms dealers are both huge money making ventures.
  3. It rather depends on the other side of the supply/demand equation. If men have given up wanting sex, there will be fewer prostitutes. This is, however, unlikely.
  4. More like going to Nong Nooch and claiming you have been on a world tour because you saw the Eiffel Tower, Pyramids of Egypt and Sydney Harbour Bridge. No you haven't and no you didn't.
  5. A rather verbose description which amounts to a load of guesses by 17000 people who thought Thailand was quite good because it had a lot of fat bloke statues and nice food. Impressive..... ????????
  6. Easier to remove the oil filler cap and see if it has white stuff anywhere. A sure sign of water in the oil.
  7. I reckon its easier to generate the electricity on board. Saves the hunt to find wires.
  8. Take her phone and television away, then cut her electricity and make her ride a bike everywhere. And then suddenly there will be a lot of complaining and the 'good old days' get forgotten. People only seem to remember the stuff they like and conveniently forget the bad bits. Nowadays wall-to-wall advertising tell people what they must have and it is believed by most. Your example of Musk and his nonsense is just that. I think he must have watched The Man who fell to Earth too many times...
  9. In the words of Alexander Pope.. "Hope springs eternal"
  10. And just how much will this affect Google? .... Not much https://www.globalgroundmedia.com/2020/07/19/94-percent-of-asian-revenue-attributed-to-google-singapore/
  11. When I stopped and suddenly had the extra money I started buying old motorbikes and tinkering. I have 10 now... That sorted out the days. I also bought a good ukulele and learned how to play (its easy...). Now I can drive people mad in the evenings as well. ????
  12. He may well be a superb doctor with brilliant skills, but one of those skills is not good driving.
  13. As just over 64% said that the restrictions were being ignored, it can hardly be called a lockdown.
  14. A requirement for proof of full vaccination is a bit of a restriction for the 91.5% population of the country who haven't been fully jabbed.
  15. On that basis then, should the vaccination program be halted and government hospitals closed down to save money?
  16. I'm 175cm, so about average height, but if I go to the Netherlands I feel like a dwarf.
