  1. I find most farang drivers drive that way because they can get away with it. if they drove like that at home they either got a big fine or lose their licence while in Thailand if stopped they get a 200thb fine.

True, young hoons in NZ are stupid idiots on the Rd, in Australia as well only the police presence slows them down, if lax police presence was the status que in other countries beside asian countries then the problems wouold be the same.

Given that NZ has a population of 5 mill and Thailand 65 mill then 13 times more maniacs on the Rd, couple that with lax Police or Rd education and you have a fireworks display.

  2. I'd take Thailand over the the UK for a safer place regarding the present day dangers.. IMHO.

I think I will just stay in my local soi bar and venture into town once a week, stay away from BK and Pattaya, phuket and no worries.

Four down six to go, but they are no threat as we don't have terrorists in LOS.

It is as remarkable as the Armys investigation into corruption at the army park in Hua Hin which found no wrong doing.

Until something goes wrong don't worry be happy. wai2.gif

  3. Cycle for dad should never happen in this mad driving country, four cyclists killed in the last few days by mad driviers and hit and runs.

It is bad enough driving at any time, truckies are mostly mad I rode with one once to deliver container to my house , scared the sh ee t out of me.

Cab was full of that caffeine drink he was chain smoking , talking on cell phone and overtaking recklessly all the way from BK to Hua hin.

I had to call my wife and get her to talk to him to slow down, apart from that he knocked a motorbike just after leaving the depot did not stop the bike recovered, absolute maddnes from 10 seater taxi drivers , truck driver , bus drivers and Hoons on these roads but the glorious leaders past and present can't run a road safety education campaign , just a bike for dad.

I sincerely hope that no more die tomorrow from mad drunken and crazy driving. wai2.gif

  4. Am I right in thinking that one has to show prof that one has relinquished you former citizenship before obtaining Thai citizenship? And if so why would anyone wish to do this as it would create many problems when you want to travel abroad?

Maybe you would loose your pension and free medical care if your country has any, I know a Denmark man who has thai citizenship many years and he needs visa to go to Denmark.

  5. Sadly, I think if ISIS really comes up with a big attack in the US or Europe it sure will be a dirty bomb.

If they dared do this then I'm afraid that a world war 3 would start and civil retaliation would spread throughout Europe.

Sadly we have heard Geoge bush and Blair rave about weapons of mass destruction that never existed just to insight a war with Iraq that has lead to lybias overthrow and the formation of ISIS.

  6. I'm thinking 195,000 pills between two people - is that a lot?

I would have thought several kilograms of pills might be more idicative of a 'major trafficker' ?

So what are you thinking, 195,000 pills are for personal use. I'd say, given the photograph, that there are several kilos and the amount confiscasted would be deemed a commercial quantity. Both men major traffickers wouldn't you say?

The extracted information led to the second mans house being raided, his mate gave him up for a lessor sentence, maybe thats not all they found $$$

  7. Two comments. 1) He didn't put a lot of thought or effort into his disguise assuming he was trying to hide after somehow getting past the border immigration entry point. 2) Amad Jay Malkoun was also a convicted large-scale heroin trafficker? And just exactly how did he get a visa approved to go to Thailand? Not much checking done it would seem. I find this interesting because I love to watch the Australian TV show about border wars and they routinely refuse people entry at the airport even though the people declared past convictions on their E-visas. Seems kind of rude to allow the people to fly all the way to Australia then be refused!

The rude thing is giving Aussie ex criminals passport to travel the world when they block entry to others

The mistake everyone is making is that Jay Malkoun is Aussie.

He was in Australia on a residency visa which was retracted after he travelled to Dubai to visit family. He has been denied re-entry to Australia for his rather long and well known criminal history. He is not, or ever has been, an Australian.

Correct hes a nasty arab mafia associated drug dealer, must have been on Halcium the night of the abduction.

  8. No Shocks there. Just read the history of the Mumbai Mafia.Who are Muslim in origin! The top man was living in Bangkok. But his rivals found him, and shot him. But he escaped and ended up in hospital in Bangkok. The indian government wanted him for terrorism. But a certain Thai Major General. Was paid 25 million baht. and he walked out! Thailand has been a haven for criminals for decades.

According to the BK post the Thai police said he co operated with them and he was asleep during the abduction even though there was a pool of blood and spent cartrdge cases in the house.

One can only summize that whoever let this man go needs to be put on inactive duty while an enquiry is undertaken.

This was Australias biggest heroin trafficker busted in 1989 a notorious criminal that was supposed to be sleeping soundly while a murder abduction took place in the same house.

    Heads should be rolling here.

  9. "...with aim to hit Russian and allies interests..."

Thank goodness the US is not an ally of Russia so we should be safe...555...fat chance of that.

"...He then asked the public to remain calm and not to panic over such report in the media..."

I see 3 options Mr. Policeman. The public can panic, they can remain calm or they can give some reasoned thought to the possibility of this being true and consider staying away from crowded areas that might be obvious targets of mass murder...at least until the RTP catch all of these terrorists...555...fat chance of that. They don't even know if this document is real...anyone heard of a wonderful invention called the phone?

It won't be long b4 they are rounded up they have 400 to choose from, then again just check their sim cards regd in their names or Gf's name or maybe they got some of the free ones handed out at the airport will make it harder then.

  10. Schneider, a gang leader and former “most wanted” criminal in his native Australia with previous arrests for robbery, drug trafficking and assault, was found dead in a shallow grave in Sattahip district on Wednesday, close to an area commonly known as “Big Buddha HIll”.

... was, by all appearances holidaying in Thailand quite legally. He had paid rent six months in advance so not intent on hiding. His house guests have similar pedigrees - so how many more criminals are walking in and out of Thailand, unhindered?

Thailand - the hub of SE Asian crime: send us your wicked, your murderous, your psychotic - so long as they have money...

The United states would not let peolple with criminal backgrounds into the USA.

Thailand has to follow suite, maybe take a lesson from Singapores book, I heard that some time ago the military rounded up all the bikers and arrested them and chopped up their bikes and dumped them onto a military truck.

Gangs are outlawed in singapore, however it seems the the good old LOS will let festering scum into LOS at will.

Thailand is overdue for a clean up tighten up the visa process by demanding a criminal record reports and banning these criminals from entry.

And ban bike gangs as Singapore has of any denomination Immediately.

That would make the PM a rock star overnight.

  11. Sounds like a sensible decision which is not really debatable by those not personally aquainted with the entire saga of this little gal and her and her families traits. That ''rabbit'' gene seems to follow you for a lifetime once it is displayed. Then you add the similarity to family and association with same, a tight rein on the bit is a sensible decision.

The long vacation with her brother is off.wai2.gif
