  1. Tighten the visa rules more .

I've seen these guys in pratunaam blatantly checking info and with bags of cards in a back St restaurant although I would never have said a word at the time they left in a gang of four 2 guys 2 girls with bags of cards after tipping the waitress 400 bht.

I don't know the nationality but from what I could hear it sounded Russian definitely a Slovak language.

  2. The trash needs to be put out of Thailand, there is more undesirables in Thailand in the last few years than ever.

Mafia and scumbags running money lending schemes as well to desperates who cant show the funds in the bank to renew their visa. Color blind police as well, you cant tell me that 20 African girls standing in Nana area behind a policeman in suhkhomvit RD plying trade have work permits.

There is now to much scum in Thailand and they ruin it for the good people who just want to relax and enjoy the scenery.

If you get the right visa before you leave for Thailand no problems the embassy here in NZ has always been helpful and I've never had a problem only the dubious will continue to ruin it for the good people.

  3. Sick puppies are everywhere all nationalities unfortunately many go to the land of smiles with all sorts of other perverts and murderers a lot of them lately reported on this site. My Thai wife commented a year or so back that there seemed to be more bad ass looking creeps around Hua HIn than a few years ago.

Good on the police and the child protection workers for catching another sick puppy I hope he enjoys the BK Hilton.

  4. one day in chiang mai I went to an

atm and waited beacause it was busy.

Two guys, one on motirbike where putiing card after card into atm, and out came a wad of thousand bahts each time.

I pretended not to take notice and after about ten minutes they left with a small fortune.

It was a sunday I took note of the time went to bank on Monday and told manager he said he would look at the video.

    I left nothing happened.

Then a few years later while in Bangkok sitting at a table in a restuarant I watched 2 russian girls and 2 guys phoning away as busy as hell with some sort of printout crossing out lines scoffing food and then a guy turned up sat with them and opened a blue bag full of atm cards . They were not worried it was a back st restuarant after a while they left with 2 bags full of cards probably to start the empty atm run for the night after tipping the waitress four hundred bht.

Great bussiness banks must have plenty of free money.

  5. Get your girlfriend to make you a 30 year lease on the land and also make sure that you can prove that you paid for the house that will be built on it. You will legally own the house, so if there was ever a problem then she would have to buy the house from you or you could remove it. Therefore, you have double insurance, 30 year lease and house ownership.

BTW where is the land?... is it in her home town?

My friend bought a house in his GF's name then leased it on a thirty yrear lease, after 2 yrs the crap hit the fan and she took off.

Only to return and wreck the house when he was out. She ended up arrested and told she did not have the right to live in the house until lease expires. She has been offered money to get out but wont. My frind took off to another province as hes scared she will have him killed. The house remains leasehold to him and he seldom goes back there only to visit friends and is to scared to stay in the house so when he returns to the area his house is he stays in a guest house.

In hind sight he could have leased it off the person who built it as he will be 105 when the lease runs out.

    Good Luck.

  6. My first impression is he's military. Squared away hair cut and apparel. Hard to tell from only 3 still frames, but maybe some ex-forces guys would comment on his body form/posture. To me, it looks practiced and measured, not like some hooligan winding up to throw a beer bottle.

I think your on to it.

Overseas riots everywhere and paid antagonists entering peacfull protests to insite violence.

Would not surpise me if the same happening here.

Paid mercanries in Syria creating havoc the world is a nutcase full of corporate pyscopaths.

  7. It's ok cause the drivers will just do a Suthep,

Not turn up for court for a few times claiming we are busy protesting and helping with another "final push".

after that ok drive their mini van at high speed with balding tires, push 4 motor cy's 2 car's and a couple of slow walking student off the road, smash into a parked car killing half a dozen people, run away and say it wasn't my fault it was the flat tire's fault.

a week later turn himself in and produce his" paid for license",

and claim it ok I'm a super hero trying to save the aliens... simple reallywhistling.gif

Sounds right, I took a container to thailand and after doing the paper work to pick it up I went in the truck to deliver the box to my house to give directions. What a mistake! the cab was full of empty red bull bottles the driver was Mad ranting to me in thai all the way talking on his cell phone drinking more red bull, chain smoking and overtaking like a maniac, he pushed 2 motor bikes of the rd when we left the depot and nearly wiped out several cars. The over taking was the scariest as he had to slip stream to gain speed and when he overtook he just missed the truck in front by inches and hardly on some overtakes had time to get back on his side of the rd b4 a head on. Then he spead through Cha Amm at over 120 kph.

At that point I rang my GF and her brother spoke to him to slow down and had to come to escort him to Hua Hin.

So a ride in a lod doo is chicken feed to taking a ride with a truck driver.

  8. my thai brother in law had his ute stolen from a temple where it lay broken for 2 years.

the guys that stole it sucked it up onto the back of a truck, the truck broke down and they got caught.

It was on its way to a breakers yard just outside hua hin, the boss man fled and the truck driver got the slammer.

Then the police took a shit load of cash off the boss man released the truck driver and the brother in laws ute got a new motor and paint job and came back like new.

Mind you the brother in law went to school with the cop that handled it.

  9. the land of dead smiles, tourists going off at a record rate, sad , but hey! tne NZ medai failed to pick up on canadian girls death, so they r not intereseted, maybe the bed bug sprayers again, or just a case of poisen mushrooms, whatever its looking grim for thailand such a lovely place going down the mafia rd to hell , with the help of all concerned mainly,???? hey bcarefull out there friends!

  10. One of the most idiotic Country's on the Earth, Thailand is blessed with abundance of fertile soil and water but sadly the donkeys in Charge have no idea.

Next the farmers will be charging 3 times the price for fruit and veg because of water shortage...Limes are already going for 9 baht each that should be 1 baht..Laughable

Massive amounts of water are disgustingly wasted right at the hight of the Dry season ...The Country deserves all that it gets

Planning is obviously not in the Thai Dictionary Maybe so, however the lime farmers will be happy

  11. Sorry, wasn't asking about cases with Thai mother, non-Thai father as easy to get. Problem only when non-Thai mother not married to Thai father as Thailand only recognizes father if married.

Note: Thailand is not the West. Men and women are treated differently. Fatherhood is not assumed on word of woman, if not married.

sorry dont know, and never heard of your problem did not think it mattered as long as the parents names are on the nz birth certificate and hospital discharge papers, you will have to clarify that with the thai embassy.
  12. Very simple, just been through this with my child born in NZ to thai wife.

You need the NZ birth certificate and ID of Mother and father, plus the Thai fathers ID number/papers and his thai birth cert and house papers then apply at the thai embassy for the babies thai birth certificate (not sure if you can do this outside of thailand but you may be able to through the bankok embassy) we did it here and all done in 2 weeks. Then once you have the thai birth certificate you apply for thai passport , done! but you will also need 2 passport photos of each baby also when you apply for birth certificate.

If you dont need to pay overstayer fine then dont worry do papers next time your back in NZ.

If you have all the paper work with you in thailand try the thai embassy or do it all next time you return to NZ.

Thailand recognises dual citizen so you can hold two passports for the child.

How do you get around the Thai father not being married to the mother?

Thailand considers the child to have no father unless married or recognized at Amphur when age 7+ (or court order)

I am not maried to my thai partner defacto many years, we went to the thai embassy here in NZ. (you will need to go through wellington branch) they say it can be done online but difficult to navigate the site.

They asked for: NZ Birth Certificate baby (which shows mother and fathers names) , My birth certificate, My passport, Hospital birth (discharge) papers of the baby, My partners Passport , Her ID Card, Her house registration, and her birth certificate, along with two passport photos of the baby, My partner filled in the forms they gave her which were in thai, I signed them as well, the embassy asked which name we wanted on the thai birth certificate, I said to avoid complications later in my sons life to use the mothers thai name and put my surname as his middle name .

they took the paperwork and they even rang me a week later and wanted a further copy of the birth certificate which i scanned and emailed to them (their copy was not clear enough they said)

So after that another week passed and the thai birth certificate arrived in the mail, so now my son is a Thai national and a Kiwi national as well.

Its a simple matter to do and I think you could get the forms from the thai embassy in Bangkok fill them in and send all the paper work to wellinton if needed, I would talk to bangkok embassy first or just wait till you go back to NZ, I did my papers in Auckland as it was songkran and the embassy officials were at the Mt Albert festival as they always are every year.

    Easy .

as to the thai recognition quoted above, I think there is a time limit on registering a thai born outside thailand I heard it has to be done before the child is 12 yrs old, however it might be seven years old so if your child is new born you have plenty of time however I would do it asap the sooner the better Ive read its better to be done within the first six months, it is no hassle and after you obtain the thai certificate you can apply for a thai passport.

I will have 2 passports ,NZ and Thai for my son.

  15. I have a TW and a young son who has dual citizenship thai/nz, I will be living in thailand permanently in a few months, I want to buy a house and know most all the usual rules for ownwership, 49%, company ect lease isnt a bad option if your single.

Im wondering if you have a child with thai residence, can you set up a trust and buy a property and have it in trust until the child reaches a certain age 20/21 tyrs old.

Im told by my TW's friends that Thais cant own land until they are 20 ???

Does anyone know if it is possible to set up a property trust for a thai child, trustees might be tricky- do they need to be resident holders or could my older children who legally are brothers ect be trustees or overseer's of the trust?.

Must be a few faluungs that have explored this possibility so like to hear your views

    Thanks a lot

  16. Safe Thailand has definitely ended. No one seems to have any answers as to why Thai people have become so violent, especially to tourists and farangs. Thai friends say 'thai on thai' crime hasn't changed, we just didn't know about it. They say what has changed is that Thais are no longer scared to attack a farang/tourist. Unfortunately this will dent tourism figues.

Well someone woke up, ive been saying this for the last 3 years, my thai wife says the same, not nice people around her home town (hua hin) ive noticed it in BK a lot maybe im wrong, but opinion rules the roost, not opinion polls, this blog is people and people dont tell crap, only exagerate a little at time in good humour usually, thailand is gone to mafia controlled maniacs, unfortunately they come from europe, ruthless crimials now traffic women and drugs, the spin off is that the heads of the small thai guys swell up , they become pimps with attitude , and copy cat and demand higher rewards, police have to be rewarded as well, why do african street girls have a free reign in sukhomvit rd outside Nana, now I know! the police r colour blind.

  17. having been a victim in pratunaam a few years ago when a bike snatched a bag from my thai GF, I would make a posting in lonely planet to tourists, dont carry a bag! at least the gf didnt have cash or cellphone in the bag they were in her pocket, however they did get her bank card which she cancelled within an hour. She was stressed out after and I was a bit as well as these guys past us and turned around and came back past us at speed and snatched the bag that quick they were gone in a sec, there were wittneses but the cheekies had covered the no plate with their hand as they road off.

If girls need a bag carry a small one not a great giant show piece with the kitchen sink in it, keep your money and phone in your pockets like my thai gf did as she was wise to the snatcher's.

Having said that im in NZ at present coming back to thailand soon, and my thai gfs friend got her bag snathced here, but again being thai and street wise no money in the bag just make up, bag snatching is becoming rife in good old clean and green NZ as government plunges the country into debt slashing jobs and wages as corporates close down manufacturing plants and import goods and sell Nz land to overseas investors,The worlds gone CEO mad paying themselves huge bonuses even while loosing money, I cant wait to come back to the land of smiles where crooks can still cop a lead cocktail if they are to out of hand, but here the crooks wear suits and are rampant corporate maniacs and out of control and crime is going ballistic .
