Busted! Housemaid Caught Red-Handed in Shocking Thai Theft Scandal
OneMoreFarang replied to snoop1130's topic in Isaan News
I was brought up the same. But I never was in a situation where I could have taken away something very valuable and get away with it. I was never hungry and never had this "how wonderful could life be if I would be rich" feeling. But I understand that most of us have a price where we question our values. -

Sure, it's dishonesty. But out yourself in the situation that you work somewhere for a super-rich guy. There are 10 million cash here and there. Would you be tempted to take a million because obviously the owner doesn't really need that money? I don't say I would take it. But I am also not sure I would not take it if I think I would get away with it. I think most of us have some amount where we think again what if... -
Busted! Housemaid Caught Red-Handed in Shocking Thai Theft Scandal

Obviously, nobody should steel things from anybody else. But then, leaving valuable jewelry in the open is also a stupid idea. If you pay someone maybe 10k per month and she sees 100,000 just lying around, that creates a difficult situation. I think owners should put those small expensive things in a safe... -
This doesn't make sense.

Liz Truss Calls for Tory-Reform Alliance to Challenge Labour
OneMoreFarang replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Some people just don't realize when it's time to go away. How much more damage does she want to do? -
I think some people want to know the truth, and others just want to confirm what they know anyhow (at least they think they know). To be fair, that is not only a problem in this forum.

In Ukraine and Gaza Trump behaves as if he is the world's king and he can just dictate what others should do. And many leaders are very careful not to criticize Trump. Because if they do that, then Trump retaliates. But if they the leaders are nice to Trump, and don't confront him, how long will that last? Trump does some more, and they do nothing. And then Trump does some more, and they do nothing. For how long? I.e. just image Trump would just declare he takes over Greenland. He puts some military up there and tells the world they should just accept it. Unfortunately, this is not as unimageable anymore like it used to be just a couple of months ago. So, my suggestion is that all European leaders, and anybody else in the world who feels like it, should tell Trump they had enough of his stupid tantrums and enough of his lies. Tell him to play fair or get lost! Obviously, this would be difficult for Europe. But in a way it would probably unite them more against the common enemy. Get it over with. The friendship between the USA and Europe is over, accept it. If Europe continues to kotow to Trump with his crazy behavior, how could the situation get any better?

Actually, sometimes I report personal attacks. Because if I reply in kind, what I did some time ago, then I was banned for a couple of days for misbehaving. So, now I report, and the admins remove personal attacks. Unfortunately, I didn't see any of those members banned.

But the AI will never buy anything from those advertisers.

I am outraged that nobody investigates those numbers. It almost feels like the investigators are also corrupt. Outrageous!

Why? Luckily, I can afford also food from many other places. But sometimes I eat those 50B dishes, maybe noodle soup or pork or BBQ. Mostly it's not bad. It's in "Thai only" places where you will find very few foreigners. They have often very reasonable prices. Khlong Toei Fresh Market is such a place.

No, but maybe people who post so much BS that most of the reactions are negative then they shouldn't be on any popular list.

I think they call it engagement. For websites it is good when users click here and there. If they click on Like or Confused doesn't really matter - as long as they click somewhere.

The screen of the Samsung tablet of my gf is a little broken. I found replacement screens online for about 700B. I guess I could do it myself, but there are others who do this all day and not expensive. Do you have any experiment with a shop replacing such screen somewhere in Bangkok, maybe Fortune Town? Or is it the easiest just to go there and ask? Can you recommend a shop? Does Samsung do these repairs as well? Or only 3rd party shops? Obviously, it should not be more expensive than necessary. But if a 3rd party shop would charge 1000B and Samsung 1500 then I would probably prefer Samsung.

At Thai markets they still have food for <50B per portion. Eat that twice a day 30 days and that is 3,000B. Rent in some cheap places is cheap, but obviously no AC and such luxury and it's not right next to the BTS. Many of us are just spoilt if we think 40k or something like that is the bare minimum. Edit: Previously I wrote that 30 times 2 times 50 is 9000. Which is obviously wrong. Thanks to @BritManToo for correcting me.

Do you think your view and post is maybe a little too simplistic? Do any of above always tell the truth or always lie? Of course not. Personally, if in doubt, I try to go as near to the source as possible. I.e. if anybody says Trump said ABC. Then try to find i.e. on YouTube a video of that speech. And not a video posted and maybe manipulated by someone unknown but a video from a reliable source who would not edit/fake a video. And look at the long version, not just 3 words edited out of a long speech. And if still in doubt, look that up even more and compare sources. In many cases it is not difficult to find the truth about events or what people said. In other cases, if i.e. Trump said America spent 300 billion in Ukraine and others say they spent more like 100 billion, then that is more difficult to check. But even then, often there are hints where those different numbers come from. It's a question of how much attention we pay and if we want to know the truth. Just listening to one source (left or right or anything) and believing everything is certainly a bad idea.

Support for Zelensky surges in Ukraine

That's the beauty of it. They don't have to think and are always convinced they are right. And they never listen to those fake news from the others. The perfect bubble. -

I hope Zelensky tells Trump to f#$# off, literally. I am sure that would increase his support at home and in Europe considerably. Why should Zelensky even try to make a deal with Trump? Trump lies all the time. Any deal would be an unknown risk. Just tell Donald to go home and stay home. You will get standing ovations. -

Why do you and others repeat this stupid election, election, election again and again? They are in a war. And they don't have a fixed election date like i.e. the Americans. Everybody with at least a little of brain understands why they don't have elections in the middle of a war. Why don't you spend more time reading and listening instead of repeating the same again and again and again. It doesn't get better if you repeat it 100 times. -
Same here. I am not sure which part is worse. That admins delete the orange comments or that someone reports them first. Because if nobody would report them then the admins wouldn't know and wouldn't care.
