When I arrived in Thailand many years ago I thought to myself: I will never drive myself in this city. Then, after years of riding on the back of motorcycle taxies, I got used to it and bought a motorcycle and joint the chaos. But even now I would never ride a bicycle on main roads anywhere in Thailand. Just last week I saw a family on 4 bicycles in the middle of heavy traffic on Sukhumvit Soi 3. And I asked myself: Why do they do that? It shouldn't take more than maximum a few minutes to realize that this is very dangerous and playing with their lives. Why? Do they think they are invincible? Do they think because they are tourist all the other drivers and riders will be nice to them? Or do they simply not think at all? I know some people will complain about victim blaming. Yeah, they shouldn't die. And it would be nice if everybody in Thailand would follow the traffic rules. But that is just not reality. If it's too dangerous then don't do it!

They don't see reality because most of them don't look over their borders or care for the rest of the world. If they would open their eyes even slightly then they could learn a lot from the rest of the world. But no, it's America, the land of the free, the best country in universe and all that.

I used many brands including cheap and expensive. I had one expensive APC fail after 13 months - just out of warranty. I had others fail and others were good for years. One easy principle is: Buy cheap with 3 years warranty including warranty on the battery.

They are well known in Germany for hinges and things like that. But they don't compete with their appliances in the German market. I wonder why.

Do you want to use it for a few days or years? And do you have or intend to buy any other tools with battery. Personally I have Bosch tools with 18V. And any new tools I will likely buy from the same brand where I can use the same batteries and chargers. And depending what I buy maybe I buy just the tool without any battery because I have them already. Obviously there are other good brands. And for above reason it is a good idea to stay with one brand. And just in case someone things about battery powered tools as maybe not so strong. By now they have very strong battery powered tools which are lite and easy to use anywhere.

Does it matter? Independent from left or right I think we should all expect from any leader to care about the country and the people. If a PM lies all the time should only the opposition demand his resignation? I think everybody should do their best to get rid of a lying leader. Vote for a competent and honest person. That is beneficial for everybody.

Do you have any experience with Hafele appliances in Thailand? It seems they have a good reputation for quality and a good reputation for service in Thailand. As far as I know Häfele is a German company but it seems in Germany they don't sell any appliances. That makes me think why they sell appliances here but not in Germany or Europe. What is your experience with them?

In real life the fishing rights are about the least important issues. They are good for headlines and people talking a lot but at the end of the day they are not important. Being part of the custom union and single market are very important issues. And nobody asked the UK public in a referendum about those. Boris and others told everybody there will be only upsides and it will be the easiest trade agreement ever. And then, after years, they came up with what they have now, what Boris called oven ready deal. And of course soon after it was signed he blamed the EU again for sticking to the EU rules. Can we expect from the public to think about all the details? No. Should we expect that they think at least about the most important issues? Absolutely. And what else must happen before Tory MPs decide to get rid of their incompetent lying PM?

I guess that is a typical Brexiter answer. Black or white. Like a divorce: I want a divorce. So how about your 3 children and the house and the dog? I told you I want a divorce. No thought about any details and not even a though that there are details to work out.

What a great idea. But it would have been a lot better if the government would have thought about what they really want and the consequences of that. Unfortunately nobody thought things trough....

Once a Thai person reminded me that Thai pilots get their jobs like many other Thai people. It's not so much about education and competence and more about knowing the right people...

And did they want to leave the common market and the custom union? Did they even know what that is and did they have an idea of the consequences? Exactly which part/institution/laws from the EU did they want to leave? Or Boris style: They wanted to keep all the good things but they didn't understand that it's a package. You can't just pick the cherries.

I am not from the UK but as far as I know Brexit was never an important issue for most people in the country until maybe 2015. It only became an issue because Cameron wanted to keep a couple of people in his party happy and he gambled and lost. And then the lies came out and too few people bothered to look at details. Like: we think our life could be better. There is a politician who wants to change something and he promises us life will get better. Any details? No. Any realistic ideas? No. Let's vote for that, somehow it will get better. Yeah, or maybe not.

Boris behavior should not be a surprise for anybody. He always behaved like that. He was fired several times for lying. He was an incompetent politician before he was elected to be PM. Why do people vote for a liar like him? Why do people vote for a party with those incompetent people and that PM? Part of it is obviously the crazy UK press. But anybody with a brain does not listen to that crazy press. In a country with informed and educated people Boris wouldn't have a chance to get any important job.

One look is certainly enough.

I wonder why this is still in the news. Everybody outside of America knows that Americans are crazy. They could have changed their gun laws hundreds of times. And they had enough shocking mass killings as reminders that they should do something. But they don't. And inside America it seems most politicians are scared to implement harsh gun laws. Because if they would do that then lots of nutters wouldn't vote for them anymore. Summary: There will be many more of these killings and basically nothing will change. That is America - a country with too many crazy people.

At least in Bangkok the BiB charges a lot to let those legal "restaurants" have girls dancing on stage. Without those donations the gogo bars would still be "restaurants".

I think in reality no hot girl will stay beautiful for very long. I think best case we can say: she looks good for her age. At least IMHO. With our gf/wife I think we don't really see how she currently looks. My gf was super hot when I met her and got together with her many years ago. She has now a lot of kg more. But her face is still very similar to how I met her. I can look at old pictures and I see in front of me still the same eyes and the same smile. And then I think what happens, after years of being together, is that we see a mixture of reality and of what we remember. And if there is enough good to remember then we see her positive and are happy with her. Looks is not so important anymore in a long time relationship.

Who cares what it is? Eat what you like to eat and what tastes best. We are all going to die, it's just a question of when. Do you really want to use "Fat Spread" to live a week longer?
