  1. It's all moot anyway. Received an appointment from a local hospital and had my first Pfizer shot, but it seems some people got appointments through Expatvac filling out the application exactly the same as I did. Good thing I didn't rely on it.
  2. No mix up. Registered successfully (read my original post) and received confirmation email in which I was told to wait for email confirming appointment. Next email said I failed to provide the correct details, which is total BS. Understand?
  3. Received my first jab of Pfizer on the 24th, no side effects for a couple of days, but on the 27th started to feel like I had a cold coming on, tired and a bit of a runny nose, general feeling of not being 100%. That feeling is still with me on the 3rd day. I hope it goes soon. They say the secong shot is worse!
  4. I showed extension and still got refused as my post explains.
  5. So, what does the 1 year extension stamp signify?
  6. How does a woman who has been a home keeper all her life get on then, what does she live on?
  7. It's just typical Thai bureaucracy to make things as difficult and obtuse as they can.
  8. I copied the whole page including the visa and extension and I received an email saying I was successfull, so I failed nothing. So get your facts right.
  9. Didn't you read my post? The first email I received from them said I was successful.
  10. I have an LG that has performed very well for many years. Can't remember what it cost, but it was cheap.
  11. A good friend from the UK died in Bangkok recently of Covid, his live-in girlfriend of 14 years is asking if she might be entitled to any kind of UK pension. They weren't legally married, she would be his common-law wife. I'm an Aussie so I have no idea on the UK rules on pensions. He didn't leave her much in the way of cash and she's not being greedy, just wants to know if she has any kind of entitlement.
  12. I remember flying from Bali to Kupang in Timor where a young French lady wanted to bring her pet monkey on board. They wouldn't allow it so she was in tears and refused to fly. I can also remember travelling by P&O ship (the Arcadia) to the UK for the first time where lobsters were served with a huge buffet. You had to dress for dinner, no shorts and singlets in those days.
  13. I registered with Expatvac on the 1st of this month and received an email saying I had successfully registered. "Your registration for the FIRST dose of COVID-19 vaccination is successful. Once available appointment slot is sent to your email, please confirm within 24 hours." Today I received this email "After review your registration, you did not upload all required documents. You must attach both passport and visa or permanent resident card. Please note that permanent resident card is not Thai national id card and this registration platform is for foreign residents in Thailand or who do not have Thai citizen." So they tell me my registration was successful in the first email then contradict themselves in the second. All my documents, passport photo and visa were uploaded. Good thing I have already received my first Pfizer shot through Bangkok/Pattaya Hospital.
  14. If the properties are a source of income or you intend to move back at some stage I can understand, but I didn't need the income nor did I intend to move back.
  15. Do you honestly think all tenants are good? My reasons were sound and have no regrets. I also have no intention of returning to Australia.
  16. What is the phone number you supplied? I'm not sure the branch can get me connected to my online banking again.
  17. I didn't do that for the simple reason that I didn't want the worry of tenants destroying my property, agents ripping me off, or getting screwed on the rent etc. Sold my house when I moved here 11 years ago, no regrets.
  18. You have to remember that this is a 24 hour international contact number so the calls could be coming from anywhere in the world, so not sure if early morning in Australia is relevant, but I could be wrong.
  19. I'm not sure when you call internationally it goes to Sydney. I think it goes to a call centre, could be in Mumbai, because quite often get Indian accents. Also, it's supposedly a 24 hour help line.
