From some farang tourists perhaps?
I have a complaint.
I took a tuck tuck from the night Bazaar for a four mile in town trip. It was one of those without the top and had a big plastic garbage can of water. This was 6:00 tonight. I only got a little bit of water twice.
I feel cheated.

Problem is I think all of you posters don't have a clue about bread making. There's no such thing as Thai bread. They are all based on multi-purpose sweet dough, thing that used to make sticky buns or cinnamon buns in the west. That how Thai understand bread and eat them as snack or dessert not as a meal in the west, no surprise they are all sweet!

Some Thai in cm108 might think that this guy doesn't show respect to the local custom etc, but I'm sure a lot of Thai guys wouldn't mind looking at some farang girl in the same dress.
Yeah cm108 already has another on Loi KrohSo.. inappopriate: yes. But in certain areas a good laugh too. Should be loads more pictures of him tomorrow, lots of people were taking pics and vids.

Rain
in Chiang Mai
I thought it would be a bit cooler after the heavy rain this evening.
Tomorrow might be a bit hot and humid if it does rain at 108 degrees! Definitely going to be a water-throwing day!

Nice photos, I did not dare going out.
Not very long, but very welcome.

I think they sort of expected it as rain almost always falls on Songkran day
and what do the party people do? Hide from the rain??? Haha
-
I think some of you including the OP are just horrible people
just to disappear in the middle of the night with whatever you can carry

In Thai culture "meeting her parents" doesn't lead to marriage. May be she just wants to be honest with her parents? May be she is so proud of you?

Still as terrible as ever but at least it keep the in laws from visiting us

I've never seen any Chinese rice in the supermarket

What !!! Definitely not! Actually hitting in the head is intolerable in Thai society!!
I enjoy it,when my wife slaps me in the head. i was told it was Thai style.

I would disagree, I think they've been doing this for years, I've been clamped and given a parking ticket on Nimmanhaemin road for about four times.
Don't know if this a pre Songkran fund raiser

Yeah time to get that Thai DL again... that's 200 baht why should they say no to that
You can run, Thai police can't chase you like in the west and you don't even have to pay them nothing.

It doesn't make a lot of different to me. We get nasty surprise power blackout in Nimmanhaemin soi 3 and 5 all the times. Sometimes around 2 am in the morning some time from 8 am to 4 pm so you can't work. I tried to count but I lost count may be close to 100 times last year including the small ones.

Iphone 4s has 8 megapixel camera which is very high already! However it's better to let the shop handle everything for you.
They're all using digital cameras, just print out your requirement and give it to them. (your requirement is pretty normal even my phone can do it! perhaps your camera is good enough)
ooo what phone do you have? My iPhone 4s powerfl enough? Wish I was better at technology!

Saw a rye loaf at Kantary, looked pretty dark like the German type

You can still get into trouble even if you're careful. I almost had an accident in Nimman soi 9 a car almost hit me and other flash headlight light at me for entering the Soi because they forgot the one-way rule has ended on 31 March. I could have been killed if I was in a motorbike.
A lot of Thai drivers and riders are careless and don't stop at pedestrian crossing. Most Thais entering the main road without looking...
Is the life... People die every minute... RIP
Total crap. your attitude would soon change if it were someone nearest or dearest to you involved in a fatal accident.
All my 3 kids have motorbikes and I `m constantly on tender hooks worrying about them Everyday using those bikes. I say to them, please be careful on those deathtraps. When you`re on the road, think only about your driving and nothing else.
Some years ago when they first got the motorbikes, I spent many hours with them on the roads and did not let them out alone on the things until I was sure they were proficient enough to drive safely.
All there is to do is live in hope that nothing bad happens and my heartfelt sympathies go out to the family of this tragic road victim.
