  1. I opened my last jar of Pataks Vindaloo curry paste yesterday, panic was setting in

Dear Mr Worgeordie you can very easily make curry paste at home using Jamie Oliver recipe all you need is a good blender and some locally available ingredients. Taste much better than Patek brand!! It keeps well coved in oil in the fridge.

Then walking around Tops Supermarket today I could not believe my eyes

They have been there for a while but there are some local brand too that taste nice.

  2. Strongly recommend Prickly Heat power No Joke! ants hate it!

Or if they are in your kitchen just rub the empty counter lightly with soapy dish washer sponge they wont go near it.

  3. The Mosque near Night bazaar are the Chinese Muslim originally from Yunan province. They've been here in Chiang Mai since for mid 19th century. They were the inventor of Khaw Soi, city's signature dish! I think they are none violent type? But if they didn't like your friend may be because they had a bad daybiggrin.png

    I'm not convinced at all.

    Nither am I.

However I can see it happening.

A friend of mine would go for a walk every day and stop at the Mosque they were building in the Night Bazaar area. A lot of the workers were Muslim. I asked him if in one ever bothered him he said no a few were friendly but there was a couple who made it clear he was not welcome there.

  4. I once arrive at the restaurant a little earlier than their opening time, the lady owner and the staff were very nice and they did what they could to accommodate us. We didn't get grumpy face from the staff which is pretty typical in most other place when arrive on opening time.
