I hate to trouble you but there is a very good BBQ Northern Thai sausage (Sai-our) stall in "Mae Here Market" 100g of bbq sausage for only 25 bath. Another 10 bath for rice then it's a complete meal Thai style. Owner of this place doesn't smile a lot when I got there because there were too many customers!

The new Israeli restaurant in Chiang Mai I was really impressed! Just near Pantip plaza intersection near the Yemeni Jewish restaurant. I know so little about Israeli food so I ordered what I know, baba ganoush, schnitzel and Sharwama and they are all excellent.

This one is direct opposite the Yemenite Jewish restaurant not far from the Pantip. I think this one he's talking about.

There is a Yemeni restaurant on Changklan almost on the intersection of Sridonchai. Not sure if they would like to be mistaken as Israelis.

One addition, regarding "Khawtom " This place is the best in CM and has been around for at least over 30 years. It's another legendary place of CM. I've known this place for over 30 years and never seen a single farang eat there! The place is open from around 1700 to early morning.

I always go to the Shangrilla for X mas buffet they have nice atmosphere. Not advertising for them the place is usually packed anyway.

Although a big fan of Antonio Carluccio wild mushrooms cooking show, I've never pick any wild mushrooms to eat in my life. Particulary I think the similar looking mushrooms in different part of the world can be very different things and even dangerous. I just stick to the mushrooms sold by Doi Kham Royal project and pretend they are wild.
