I just talked to them this late afternoon at the Chedi and they were mighty nice!

He was quite amazing when I was a teenager I was crazy about his style. That would be over 20 years ago.

I had never heard of them before my girlfriend played me their CD some years ago. Personally it's not my style of music but I can't deny the fact that Tuck is an amazing guitar player and Patti has a great voice.

According to their website, Tuck and Patti will be performing in Chiang Mai at 137 Pillars House, benefitting School for Life on Jan. 5, 2013. Strangely I've not seen any ads or posters. At least I heard they are performing at someone's wedding in Chiang Mai.

Tuck and Patti are now in Chiang Mai. There are some charity music events including a workshop. Some local Thai jazz musicians are excited, dates will be announced soon from Chiang Mai Jazz Soc facebook.

(With all due respect to the OP) I've never met any Thai person that want to learn English from a Filipino. (Not the racial thing as we are very similar)

I find the Night barzaar branch is a different story. Only the Ping river branch is good enough.

I cannot say I usually like everything I see when

folks show what they eat but all of your dishes look delicious.

I keep sourdough culture at home, I make clam chowder to go with it, I make roast beef, chicken pasta, Indians etc...

I only use my homemade sourdough and homemade potato buns for my sandwich or burgers. However.. now a days I eat out almost everyday as I just hate cleaning up afterward. Further more I hate throwing away food as no one else eat them except me and sometimes my wife. I only cook when some guests ask me to. Used to give away leftover roasted beef to temple dog! After all I prefer esan food!

Already booked at Dara Dhevi a bit expensive but thinking I should get her the best stuff I can.

The water on the shower floor isnt properly going into the drain. The slope is non-existant.

If you are in the "street view mode" then you see the picture of the shop house. Try the cross for "Exit street view " on the upper right corner then you should see the city map. It's pretty hard to give direction in words. But this place is worth it.

Where is Na Na bakery?

I still think this place make best Chicken parmigiana and lasagna and what not, not to mention the sweet staff, just too bad the name doesn't help!

I once had to entertain some guests so I said we should go to "Yummie Pizza", they didn't like the sound of it so we went somewhere else instead!

Plenty of Thai families eat at Yumee Pizza and the name is somewhat misleading as there is quite an extensive menu. This area is growing food wise and many choices of restaurants which can only be good news for locals.

Not a fan of the original series. I'm more like a STG , Voyarger and Deep Space nine fan. I know each character in those series like a member of my own family. I'm more like an Engineer from Starfleet sent to live in a Starbase out post like Chiang Mai or something like that.

I'm afraid there's none, Thais are not Star Trek fan at all.

The Duke's last year was 1600 something no? I don't know if Holiday Inn will be more expensive than The Duke.

I would love to indulge myself at the Chedi if mother and wife is out of town.

so far sounds like Dukes it is. Now if I was a drinking man it would be the Chedi and I would consider it cheap.

Was wondering if bake and bite La Maredian and all the other usual's would have a Christmas day lunch.

Surely there must be a lot of other choices out there.

I cook at home most days and on days like this that I don't do cooking!
