Busted for DUI, arrested on the spot and taken straight to the slammer for 30 days. That might even make Somchai reconsider his drinkinghabits.
And all the Tom, Dick and Harry's who are driving or riding about every night under the influence, I've said it many times before, nearly every Farang I know who drinks alcohol and has a Motorcycle or Car, drinks and drives on a regular basis, many are well pizzed.
Agree, a mandatory 30 days in the nick would certainly make a clear message and stop the majority of drunk driving, Farangs should also be deported and blacklisted for life after the 30 days, that would stop pretty much every one of the many Farangs I know from driving under the influence.
Alcohol......one of the most dangerous drugs on the planet, if it wasn't for the Trillions of taxation $$$$$ it generates for governments around the world it would be a class A drug and highly illegal.

Citing the data, Dr Samarn claimed that the ban has helped lower casualty rate from road accidents by 40 percent and assault rate against women by 50 percent.
If that's the case, Alcohol should be banned at all times, not just new year.

Thai tollerance at its best. "We do not hate them" it's all about land values and money. So if it is having an effect on land values, that the HIV patients are living there, clearly the villagers are not alone in their "values". Its a Thai thing perhaps.
So they can all come to stay at your house ?
They are not asking to live rent free in private people's houses so your question is ridiculous.
It was meant to be, jeez, no sense of humour, let me guess where you're from......

Just when you think they can't get any lower.....they do.
And to think, you journied Thousands of Km's at your own expense to live here by choice, amazing.

They used to wear those cut off shorts we call "peepers" that show the bottom part of their buns. I kinda wish they would come back without their short boyfriends.
Why, do you think they'd miraculously start fancying overweight pensioners ?

If you lived there, you'd find as many things to complain about as you find in Thailand.

Start a Business that exposes all the Farangs that cheat on their Thai wives at every opportunity.
A very good business with plenty of clients for sure.

its a toss up between bangkok drivers and pattaya drivers as to who are more dangerous
I would say that people who drink and drive are most dangerous unfortunately expats here often seem to think its ok to do so.
Quite right, nearly every Farang I know who drinks Alcohol and has his own transport, Drinks and Drives on a regular basis.
And I know a lot of people.

You sure it's not a prompt for IOS 8.1.1, a version that improves performance of older iPhones and iPads that have opted for iOS 8 ?

The poor won't stand up against them because there wouldn't be more soap operas on the life of these tw..s.
They'd get shot by the Army is the more likely scenario.

Boggles the mind to read, year after year how the NE people and the government simply doesn't
know how to deal, and how completely unprepared they are to the cold season, I mean, com'on, is this the
first cold season you have experienced in your life? and every year the same story, people die,
people starve, shortage of blankets food, heating etc. etc..
when will you ever learn to prepare for anything in life people of the north? here is a clue,
cold seasons will come every year round this time of the year, let's see the headlines next
year...
Gets cold in Europe every year too, and every year people die.
C'mon people of Europe, when will you ever learn to prepare for anything in life ?

So it seems that many owners of Fortuners are happy with their vehicles, whilst many non Fortuner owners seem unhappy about a vehicle they don't or can't afford to own.
Fortuner 1.1m
V60 2.3m
Nice car, but in Thailand, The Fortuner makes more sense for me and my pocket.
When I bought my top of the range Fortuner in January 2006, it was 1,249,000 Baht back then.
