  1. ^^ I'm 35, moved here 9 years ago. The attempted put down (ageism) speaks volumes about your level of input though. So thanks for letting us know that what you write is nonsense.

Lucky it's only in Thailand! Just imagine this shit happening in real world!!?

exactly, but you would think these things only happen in Thailand looking at ThaiVisa threads.

Before moving here I spent 10 years in the UK, all over Europe, North Africa and Australia.

I never saw any of the I get ahead and risk all our lives to do so attitude, or gloating for 'getting' ahead in any of those regions.

You, like Berkshire, are just a troll. Your ageism (attempted) put-down confirmed it.

I moved here when I was 35, I was able to adapt and now find driving conditions normal, I have been able to adapt, if you haven't that's your problem.

  2. Lucky it's only in Thailand! Just imagine this shit happening in real world!!?

An accident here involving Thai's is put down to a lack of education and a complete disregard of any common sense, gross stupidity, moronic thinking and a total disregard of anyone else etc etc..........

In a Farang country, an accident is just an accident, accidents happen.

  3. It certainly does happen, and more often than you might realise. My old bike, while big, was very manoeuvrable, and I'd often find myself at the head of the pack at lights. Seeing a foreigner on a large bike beside them seemed to be a challenge to the more childish riders. But herein lies the problem and why the OP is not just a Thai bash or an insignificant issue - when the blood rushes to the head, what little rational brain cells are still functioning get pushed aside.

Many times I've experienced a "challenge" at the lights. There is only one way to handle it safely. Just let the pack go and let all of the other riders get ahead of you - I prefer idiots in front of me than behind, anyway. To helll with their "face". There is another way, but not so safe - and that is to accelerate hard to get clear of the pack and then throttle back. While I like to do this because it creates clearer ground and opens up more space for everyone, it does encourage the richardheads.

Wonder if this is a problem in other countries!

Yup, happens all of the time here, and those who say it doesn't may not even realize it is happening. My strategy on my CBR250r is a bit different than yours, though, as I like to get in front and stay in front, which I can do 99.9% of the time. I've seen guys on bigger bikes do a little jig when they passed me on open stretches, only to have me wave bye-bye to them once we hit traffic. And I don't do any polite, easing past them when I'm in a pack at the light. I wind that little one cyclinder out and scream out of there, making it clear that there will be no game playing. Works for me!

Perhaps it was you that the OP saw ? wink.png

  4. I think it must be added that NO Farang ever does anything that could be seen as dangerous on the roads, Farangs in Fortuners and huge Pick ups are shy, laid back folk, with excellent road manners, who never ever break the speed limit, never ever drink and drive, if only the Thai's could be more like us white folk, the world would be a better place.

Hang on a minute, perhaps they are like us...........

  5. I watched a Thai mob kill a farang.

Farang was an angry drunk and acting up, yelling at people, making a scene. The guy was being an a-hole but I don't think he deserved to have his head caved in.

The police showed up, handcuffed the guy.... then and the mob attacked & police stood back.

5 or 6 Thai guys violently kicking his head and clubbing his skull with a heavy piece of wood while he was handcuffed.

This happened in front of a hotel, all caught on video too.

Thais are only good at fighting in mobs never on a one on one.whistling.gif

I dunno about that, I've seen some Thai's that are well handy in a street fight, one was a small Thai guy against a big fat Farang covered in Tatoos who thought he was tough, got his azz handed to him by the 5' 4" Thai guy.

  6. In an air-conditioned condominium room, she was found dead caused by heat stroke......................

The British guy found dead in the bathtub, again of heat stroke..

I wish our brilliant police close their mouths and wait for the autopsies before they give us this so professional assumptions..

I think they need the ThaiVisa investigation Bureau on the case.

  7. Why on earth would you put your child in the care of a 38 year old man? Well, rest in peace, little one. Your time came too soon.

You don't hear much about child molestation stories reaching the news in Thailand--must not be good for tourism to report them.

And, all too often, there is no man in the picture as he has been thrown out for womanising or gambling or drinking, or all three, or has simply deserted the family. All part of Thai culture. Also happens elsewhere in modern society, of course, and isn't the world I grew up in.

I'm a product of the childrens home system back in the 60's, I'm from the UK, the place was full of kids from broken dysfunctional families, I can assure you it's not a cultural trait of just Thailand to have fecked up families, and it is the world you grew up in, you just never saw it.

  8. Talking of Re-Entry permits, is it a 24 hour service at Bkk Airport, I recall a post by someone saying there where certain times when you can't get it, whereas previous posts have said its 24/7 I'd rather pay the extra 200 Baht for less hassle than waiting at Jomtien which is packed out most days.

    Thanks in advance.

  9. This thread is finally on it's last legs, abuse and slander have been thrown around, mild banter and full on aggression has been seen, a good thread that should now be closed.

Simple reason, another thread on exactly the same lines will be opened straight away. This is a problem in a forum that restricts you to Thai related topics, there are only so many Thai related topics you can discuss, most end in a flame fest and are closed, only to have exactly the same topic resurrected in a new thread, it's the circle of internet life.

They'll close a thread as undesirable, yet immediately another thread on exactly the same topic is started, and it's allowed.

Google ads are a great moneymaker.

  10. Dang, you're good.

Unfortunately, HeijoshinCool's School of Ordnance Disposal is closed for renovations.

But keep checking our website, the wife is rebuilding it all while I'm off cashing the monthly check to buy some Falstaff.

    .

    Haha. nice one. thumbsup.gif

So you must be the American with a sense of humor, it was rumored there was one, but I never believed it.

  11. Again, embarrass Thailand on social media is the only way to get a response...

Leaving Thailand with a huge banner stating everything you disapprove of at the Airport would get a greater response, for sure media coverage, you up for it or not ?

But to leave Thailand you'd have to live here, judging by your posts, you don't live in Thailand, and if you do live here it must be against your will and you need rescuing, PM me if it;s so, I'll get a team to extract you.

Could probably sell your story to the tabloids too. let me know.
