Yea, but it's made under American/Apple specifications, design, quality assurance, etc. Nothing wrong with stuff made in China if it's made to good specifications...the problem is determining "if" it's made to good specifications. That's when people people usually default to buying a branch name product such as Apple knowing Apple produce quality products (premium products) regardless of what country the products are manufactured in.

Generally, some stuff Made in China stuff is crap and some is very good....I've gotten my share of both. It's figuring out which is which sometimes. And ongoing news reports about country X trying to hack country Y and the memories from the Cold War era still generate some mistrust I guess.

Yeah, on various Forums some posters refuse to use the excellent Kaspersky software for that very reason, the Russian connection.

I'm using this program, after my paid for ESET Smart Security was accidently removed from my PC, I'm amazed that it's a free program, a 5 engine virus scanner including BitDefender and Avira engines, no registration or email address required.

It's a Chinese product from a massive ISP, I've researched it online and it gets excellent scores in AV testing, an incredible free program IMHO.

Wow such generalizations. You never met a guy who'd rather live in a first world country who wasn't broke? I'd say there's a lot of the opposite. I've read plenty on here who say they can't afford to live in their home country. You said:

Let me introduce you to one. I get sick of the filth, unsafe food and water, odors, litter, horrible traffic and all that's Thailand after not more than about 3 months and want to get "home." Fortunately I can afford to do what I want to do so I have choices.

After just so long in a third world country I'm more than ready to go home where there's civic pride, no litter, safe food and water, sane drivers and so on. One can have both, you know.

There's nothing fancy in these pictures, but the culture of order and cleanliness and civic pride should be apparent. Notice bottom left of the bottom picture there's a black trash can and others on down the street. There's no litter because people won't tolerate it.

I used to race in Pattaya , motorcycle taxis ( without passengers ), and anybody, great fun. from 1990 onwards. now I know the 90"s where different, but we used to go hammer and tongs down the beach road, it was the way it was.

I know for a Fact many here do not live in Thailand , they just permeate threads here with their bile and hatred, i'll give one thing for ThaiVisa, the Thai bashing has been allowed from day 1 and continues to this day. , Farang bashing is a different story, not allowed and instant ban.

But, if Thai Bashing was clamped down on, there would be no traffic = no money = no forum.

But how do they get Thai based advertisers with all the Thai bashing that goes on, if I believed everything I read on ThaiVisa, Thailand would be the last place I'd do business and I'd stay well away from the place.
