Not sure I'd EVER have DD into Bangkok Bank NYC let alone any foreign SE Asian bank. Why? If there are problems then you have to deal with foreign officials in a language most expats are not fluent in I'd use a USA bank (not susceptible to Thai bank holidays) and then make transfers when needed. No interest rate to speak of when money is kept in Thai banks from my experience. Better to take advantage of the 4% plus interest rates now on offer by US banks. But, if you are living paycheck to paycheck then... well. doesn't matter.

BTW, to those contributing to the conversation. I highly advise to NOT keep crypto assets on a Centralized Exchange. That is why so many people lost crypto during the FTX debacle. Buy the crypto and then move it OFF the CEX into a personal wallet where you and only you own the keys. If you are not familiar with what I've just described a simple Internet search will deliver tons of information on why it is NOT recommended to keep your currency on ANY CEX like Binance, Coinbase etc etc. You risk losing crypto currency because those institutions have the signing KEYS and are constantly being attacked, are vulnerable to financial problems (FTX) etc etc.

As soon as a new Meme token contract is live on the ETH chain (or other smart contract chains) one can start acquiring. This is how some turned .1 ETH into Millions in 20 days or less. Thai culture. There is a reason you see very few regular Thai women (non sex worker/Pattaya gold miners) wearing skimpy bathing suits on the beach. Most are wearing t-shirts and long shorts. There is a lot of modesty in Thai culture. Those who've been around awhile know this. Pattaya is NOT regular Thai culture. Visit a Wat? No shorts, tank tops, showing shoulders etc. In Hua-Hin you absolutely cannot wear shorts at the Kings former residence -- if you show up in shorts they give you a wrap to wear. I felt like Gandi wearing the wrap I had to put on cause I made the mistake of not wearing long pants. Women must cover shoulders also. No tank tops or halter tops allowed whatsoever.

Most conventional routers do not have any kind of option to install VPN software in my experience. They are merely a means to convert regular Ethernet and WiFi IP traffic to whatever transmission format that is being used by the ISP. I would be surprised if any router provided by any Thai ISP would allow installation of VPN software. They are usually "black boxes" with a very fixed set of configurations.
