How to win a war? The recipe.
Trump told Starmer to FO when he said he had won it - nothing left to bomb and now he wants our ship (singular!). Mr President and your puppettmaster made this cake now you can force it into your fetid little gob and if you win it it you will be truly King of the Jews and you can go there and be wafted on the choir of angels to heaven and make sure your ears are well protected. In my lifteime I probably hated Nixon the worse - but now he seems like a Statesman of the highest ordure. You sir are a criminal purilent, obsese, corpulent mass of narcisistic badly fake tanned spoilt child needs probably with a nappy on to handle the fall out of a body rejecting itself. Go and troll Maduro in prison and admire your panda like tan in the mirror. ps. Starmer has said he is sending drones - he might if you are lucky include some Lego and crayons for you on and where is Netanhayu ?

Iran regime in its death throes but collapse could trigger bloodshed
He doesn't want to engage directly with me for some reason so does it tangentially. I'll answer she's a Bishop involved in sheperding her flock and adminstrating the Diocese - with all the goodwill in the world it would be surprising if she was an expert on the current Iranian regime in detail except to condemn it and hope for a better Iran. As a Christian she will beleive in the Christ's message of forgiveness and redemption and slow to anger rather than snark and I for one will join her in her assumed position. Amen.

How to win a war? The recipe.
Or I prefer the poetry of Claude; "Empire" - Philip Larkin Style Poem They like to say we ran it, but that's rot— Four thousand civil servants, mostly Scots, Administered the theft. Perfidious? What A polite way to describe the bleeding clots Who found, once rid of those damned Colonials (The troublesome New World rabble, good riddance), That profits multiplied. The memorials Don't mention this: divide and rule. The differenceBetween collaboration and conquest? None. Just make the local princes rich as Croesus, Watch them sell their people by the ton. Mohammedan friends—oh yes, they helped us fleece us Our moral betters. Opium down Chinese throats At gunpoint. "Free trade," they called it. Christ. The Raj, the loot, the ledgers, the banknotes— All built on making sure the conquered priced Their dignity below our profit margin. And now we sit in semis, wondering why The world won't let us forget. The bargain Was simple: help us rob them, or you die. Don't talk to me of what we gave them—trains, The rule of law, the English tongue. What price Did they pay? Ask the bones beneath the plains, The starved Bengalis. Empire wasn't nice. It was four thousand Scotsmen with a ledger And backing from whoever'd sell their own. Perfidious? Too kind. We were the dredger, Scooping wealth from marrow, blood, and bone. They'll tell you it was glorious. Don't believe them. It was accountancy with bayonets. And tea.

How to win a war? The recipe.
I meant to say (thanks Gemini !) this; To rewrite this more clearly and accurately, we have to move away from the hyper-cynical tone and address the historical mechanisms of the British Empire with more nuance. Here is a more balanced and readable summary: The Mechanics of the British EmpireThe British Empire, at its height, exerted control over vast territories with a surprisingly small number of British administrators. However, this was only possible because they relied heavily on existing local hierarchies, indigenous military forces, and a massive naval presence rather than just 4,000 civil servants. Key Historical Realities: Administration: While the number of British officials was small, the Empire relied on thousands of local intermediaries, clerks, and soldiers to function. It was a collaborative—and often coerced—effort between British leadership and local elites. Economic Strategy: After the loss of the American colonies, the British shifted their focus toward trade-based imperialism in Asia and Africa. The wealth generated by this system was significant, but it was built on extractive trade policies, often enforced by military power. "Divide and Rule": This was a documented colonial tactic. By exploiting existing religious, ethnic, or political divisions within a region, the British could prevent colonial subjects from forming a unified front against them. The Opium Trade: Britain’s involvement in the opium trade with China is a historical fact. The British government fought two wars against the Qing Dynasty to maintain the right to import opium, prioritizing commercial interests over the catastrophic social costs to the Chinese population. Geopolitical Intelligence: The British were sophisticated in their use of intelligence and cultural study to navigate foreign lands. This included gathering information on Islamic societies and other major cultural blocs to better manage, influence, or destabilize local governance in their favor. SummaryRather than being the result of a singular, monolithic strategy, the British Empire was a complex, evolving system of trade, military supremacy, and political manipulation. It was highly successful in generating wealth for Britain, but that success was consistently achieved through the exploitation of colonial populations and the aggressive use of force when diplomacy failed.

The British, not that I agree and it was mostly Scots anyway ran the Empire with about 4k colonial civil servants. Perfidious Albion as it were was hugely succesfull once it had rid istelf of it's troublesome colonies in the New World. DividE and rule was a great strategy that and give the ruling elite become rich as Croesus if you help otherwise we will kill you and go to war over shoving opium down the poor Chinese mouths and we had plenty of help from Mohammedon friends once we had sneaked in to Mecca and figured out how they worked.

And charging us royally for the privilege - besides which many immigrants (yes that word eh!) wanted to support their native lands in their hour of needs. Not the Micks obviously or the Hun or the Ities for the most part.

Is was a rhetorical flourish. Hitler was winning in 1940 all over the place if you remember. A war's not won until it is and all I have to do is look at Trump/Hegseth running the show with no plan , no strategy and no brains. That's all I need to know. That's it.

Iran regime in its death throes but collapse could trigger bloodshed
There's probably a lot of that but if you break ranks it's almost certain death at the moment and probably for that of your families and you have to be sure that you can bring plenty more with you more likely to be a civil war if that happens rather than some Ceascusue collapse. That tends to focus minds somewhat in extremis. China will start getting mightily pissed off if they lose half their oil supplies and will bid up what remains on the global markets pushing up the price for everyone - which is what the regime wants. They want us in the west to feel pain and we are just at the start of that. https://www.thesun.co.uk/money/38513564/uk-shoppers-empty-shelves-iran-war-drives-costs/

Iran regime in its death throes but collapse could trigger bloodshed
Iran has a large and entrenched security apparatus. The IRGC alone has roughly 150,000–190,000 personnel, including ground forces of about 150,000. It also oversees the Basij paramilitary militia, which has tens of thousands of active members and potentially hundreds of thousands to around a million volunteers and reservists. They are now in 32 regional autobnous groupings with 3 generals per group and redundancy built in to their structure with large ammo, arms and food dumps and covert comms networks like fibre optic cables and short wave radio and secret sigamsl in TV programs apprently. Taken together with the regular armed forces, police, intelligence services, and other internal security bodies, Iran’s wider coercive apparatus likely runs well over a million people, though exact figures are unclear. This resembles the role played by the siloviki in Russia - the broad network of security, intelligence, police, and military officials who form the backbone of the political system. Estimates often place their numbers at several million, sometimes around five million when all security institutions are counted. In systems like this, the regime does not necessarily need majority support. It mainly needs the loyalty of the armed and security elite and the willingness to set a very high, often brutal, threshold for resistance. External military pressure may not automatically produce regime collapse either. Historically, air campaigns alone rarely topple governments without internal political fractures or ground forces. Minority groups such as the Kurds and Baluchis inside Iran have their own agendas and are often cautious about aligning fully with outside powers. Many of these groups are aware that great powers may support them tactically but not necessarily in the long term. I may be wrong but I'm betting the cetre holds and are gagging for boots on the ground so they can go ful lgueilla warfare like Iraq and the Baath army pivoting to Al-Queda - but x 10. Bombing a kids school and the sight of 167 butchered children on state tv tends to concentrate minds as well.

How could USA-Trump have so vastly underestimated Iran's military?
FUN FACT: Iran and the Shia religion tolerate transgenderism - so ladyboys can serve in the military which is more than you can say for the US. They may even have a Katoey Foreign Legion - get thee behind me Great Stan - ooh err....

Without wanting to bash the Bishop - but with all due respect and considering she left in 1979 what the hell does she know about the current situation. More than DJT I'll cede that but it's a low bar. She's bang on about Sturmer though - we are well shut of this debacle.

Would you consider this to be an example of "hate speech."
Off to hell for you my friend - where you will burn for all eternity. Alan Watts is my latest guru - he was a womaniser, alcoholic but enlightened. If you awaken from this illusion and you understand that black implies white, self implies other, life implies death (or shall I say death implies life?), you can feel yourself – not as a stranger in the world, not as something here on probation, not as something that has arrived here by fluke – but you can begin to feel your own existence as absolutely fundamental. I am not trying to sell you on this idea in the sense of converting you to it, I want you to play with it; I want you to think of its possibilities, I am not trying to prove it. I am just putting it forward as a possibility of life to think about. So then, let’s suppose that you were able every night to dream any dream you wanted to So then, let’s suppose that you were able every night to dream any dream you wanted to dream and that you could, for example, have the power within one night to dream 75 years of time or any length of time you wanted to have. And you would, naturally, as you began on this adventure of dreams, you would fulfill all your wishes. You would have every kind of pleasure during your sleep. And after several nights of 75 years of total pleasure each, you would say “Well, that was pretty great. But now let’s have a surprise. Let’s have a dream which isn’t under control, where something is gonna happen to me that I don’t know what it’s gonna be”. And you would dig that and would come out of that and you would say “Wow that was a close shave, wasn’t it?”. Then you would get more and more adventurous and you would make further- and further out gambles to what you would dream. And finally, you would dream where you are now. You would dream the dream of living the life that you are actually living today. That would be within the infinite multiplicity of choices you would have. Of playing that you weren’t God. Because the whole nature of the godhead, according to this idea, is to play that he is not. So in this idea then, everybody is fundamentally the ultimate reality, not God in a politically kingly sense, but god in the sense of being the self, the deep-down basic whatever there is. And you are all that, only you are pretending you are not.

So were the Catholics with the Vatican Concord and while you're at it check out the ulrea Zionist Stern Gang - my enemies enemy is my friend - in this case the British Mandate. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reichskonkordat https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lehi_(militant_group) Lehi split from the Irgun militant group in 1940 in order to continue fighting the British during World War II. It initially sought an alliance with Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany.[21] Believing that Nazi Germany was a lesser enemy of the Jews than Britain, Lehi twice attempted to form an alliance with the Nazis, proposing a Jewish state based on "nationalist and totalitarian principles, and linked to the German Reich by an alliance".[21][22]

Trump hits Kharg island ?
Someone tell Trump and also tell him that half a million Iranians died in that war - he's got a lot of work ahead. Not that he will be working he will be on the golf course when US soldiers come home in body bags or limbs missing or brains scambled for life. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kharg_Island The island was bombed in the 1980s during the Iran–Iraq War,[12] with the facilities put out of commission in the autumn of 1986. Heavy bombing of the Kharg Island facilities from 1980 to 1988 by the Iraqi Air Force during the war, destroyed most of the terminal facilities. Kharg Island is situated in the middle of the Darius Oilfield, also destroyed by the intensive bombing. Repair to all facilities was very slow, even after the war ended in 1988. In 2009, Iran exported and swapped 950 million barrels of crude oil via the southern Kharg oil terminal.[11]
