I have just come back from the UK with a new passport.

The airport immigration people transferred the multiple reentry permit, but immigration in Jomtien will not transfer the extension without this daft and pointless letter.

In addition, immigration tell me that I cannot get back into the country using both passports, forgetting that I have just done exactly that.

Do I really need to go to the embassy in Bangkok or can I just continue to use both passports until it needs to be renewed?

Ideally, I would want a quickly detachable one.

Even better would be one with lighting for safety, but this might not work with the QD idea.

I wasn't aware that such ridiculous elitist and superior attitudes still existed with regard to degrees nowadays.

Unless of course in you think a 2:2 in history of art or sociology is either useful or challenging.

I was under the impression that for the last twenty years or so, degrees have been a bit like smartphones: anyone who really wants one probably already has one without feeling the need to bore the pants off all and sundry by telling them all about it.

Is this the same for re-entering Thailand?

I have a brand new passport with my retirement extension and multiple re-entry permit in the old one.

I seem to remember reading that I could just take then both down to immigration to have transferred.

Also saw a guy wearing a quality helmet,literally cut in half and totally conscious of his situation.. Very sad.

It's it Thai law that the victim is allowed to set compensation? Is it not the case, as in other cultures, that the tariff is agreed in advance according to the crime with a degree of latitude given to the judge?
