Herd immunity... once they all had it, problem solved. Honestly, what else can you do in overcrowded prisons?

Your personal issue has nothing whatsoever to do with topic in hand, which is the legality of insisting upon employees accept a vaccine offered by the company.
If you you feel that Sinovac doesn't suit you then you're free to seek an alterative. Personally though, I think your fears are unfounded and Sinovac will soon join the list of WHO approved vaccines.
1) Your are right, my comment is only indirectly related to the legality question, but important for the decision process about risking the job or not... I think teachers in Thai schools will soon ALL face that dilemma, when the government decides to mandate vaccinations for teachers without offering alternativ vaccines.
2) WHO approval is irrelevant and - given the reputation of that body - I do not expect any country to say "if WHO approves it, we will do so also"... I need individual countries to accept the vaccines that will be put in my body, not the Chinese-driven WHO-

I've required 3 letters from Immigration over the last few weeks and even thoughI write my address in English on the form when I pick the letter up they have translated it into Thai ???? Don't know if they would keep it in English if you ask nicely though. Got to be worth a try and the girl at counter 9 would probably tell you if she can or can't before you stump up the 300 baht
As far as I remember, there is a "reason" box on the form... that is where I write "English language address certificate for XY government" or something similar. Never been refused in Jomtien

It has never been on the list of documents they require of me. Although you would expect it to fit their needs. A few issues with Jomtiem/Chonburi.... the CORs are always in Thai when I have got them. They also seem very fussy about knowing why you need one, and in some cases ask for supporting paperwork.
Well, I did get a few certificates from Jomtien in the past years, and when you tell them you need them in English for purpose of "Address Verification for XY Government", they will do it. I have never been asked for additional paperwork, last time I needed one was in September last year. Just an idea for you, certainly cheaper and less time consuming than looking for a certified translator

Maybe I miss something, but why don't you go to immigration and get a residence certificate? They provide them in English for few 100 Baht (I think last time was 300), and you are all set, can't get more official than that...

Here is why you are so completely wrong: People who need to travel to Europe, USA or any other countries that will sooner or later require a vaccine passport want to get a vaccine that is ACCEPTED in those countries.
The Chinese Sinovac vaccine is NOT approved for use in any country I want/need to travel to.I want to get vaccinated with something that is useful for my plans and not something, that is forced down the throats of 160 million people who have no choice, because their government is paid off by the Chinese communist party to deliver their citizens as testing rats...
The latest figures I found are: 25 countries have approved Sinovac so far, none of which is in Europe. Not even the WHO has approved Sinovac, they are still "in the process"... what does this tell you about this vaccine?-

A) does you phone support 5G?
B) are you in an area, where 5G is supported?
If either is not true, your SIM-card automatically turns on 3/4G

I don't <deleted> care whether someone gets vaccinated or not... but I will equally not care if their personal freedom and what they think to be their "constitutional right" is massively restricted for the good of the whole because of their decision.

I don't think wanting access to vaccines on a time line that isn't discriminatory based on nationality is whining at all. In other words, if it's time for over 60s its basic medical ethics for it to be time for all over 60s in a country. I don't think wanting that is shooting anyone in the foot. Instead it's entirely reasonable. I don't think this has anything to do with obviously off topic Brevit. I agree Thailand will never be the same after the pandemic. You could say the same about any country.
When you are right, you are right, and that should be said.

You don't even need the govt app, a standard QR & barcode reader will do, shows you the link, you click it, press sign-in and all done

We need to team up and DEMAND the right to medicine (which is basically what this is at this time).
Imagine if they made some services at a hospital in America only for certain people?
EXACTLY what they do in America: Pre-Biden White-Rich before Black-Poor, now Everybody before Whites

First of all, a statement from TAT about vaccination is absolutely worthless, even within CCSA, they flip-flop about dates, vaccine availability, foreigners and vaccines and nothing is granted until it has been done (DONE, not promised, not even in writing...)
Second, the daily flip-flop-messages about opening or not, restrictions by province, district, city and sometimes even single sois are so confusing, that I really think, most messages are not worth the storage, they must be safed on...

Nothing strange about this... the US government sent a diplomatic container with the vaccine to it's embassy, Pfizer - even if they knew about it - had nothing to do with importing the vaccine, because technically, the vaccine in the diplomatic package in theory never left US soil and property.

Always amazed at American thinking... invading a foreign, sovereign country with which you are in peace, just to save the butts of few americans who think they should be first in line... join the club of ALL foreigners living in Thailand..
And... your embassy can't be bothered with you... they got the vaccine for their own employees in diplomatic post and are actively vaccinating, they don't care about you other lot...

the issue may just be that he did it yesterday and that the system has since been modified. Not 100% sure but reports on this board seem to indicate this.
I registered yesterday and booked the appointment today.

Same here. The app requests a number on the back starting with 2 letters, which the Thai ID card has. The pink card I have seen has a number starting with only 1 letter, so is not accepted by the app.
Not sure, what you do or what app you are using.. my number on the back starts with "B" followed by all numbers and was accepted by the app... nothing about 2 letters...

My understanding is that there are no online English options and a Thai driver's license definitely will not work.
Pattaya private hospitals don't have anything and aren't taking names but if interested keep checking but it might take months
I am also seeking a confirmed sure thing place to manually register with passport. I am high risk and don't want to be running around town risking infection just looking.
There is a report from another member, that he registered in Pattaya Memorial, using the app. So it seems some private hospitals are further in the process than others. I would recommend therefore, that you call them with your questions. They always have reasonable well English speakers at the front desk.

And that keeps me away from trying to register even having pink card.
AZ would be OK, but Chinese water soup no.
Don't want to take the risk for a 50:50 chance.
Well, I think the chances are - at present - higher than that. The Chinese vaccine is currently used for health care workers and for the Phuket bubble (thank you very much, if you live there) and in the latest press conference they indicated, that they start the vaccination in June, because then the local AZ will be available. The government did not procure any amount of the Chinese stuff that would support the second vaccination campaign starting on June 7.
But why not sign up for a date, lets say towards the End of June? Lot of expats will have reported by then, which vaccine they got and whether they survived it and if so, with which side effects...-

Thanks.
Followed the same process exactly - and failed yet again...... the two number inputs are really the only ones that can be at fault. Small hope it's the site - will try again after lunch (God this is frustrating....)
check your birthday, actually the birth year... make sure that you calculate it correctly into your Thai year of birth:
Current year in Thai - Current Year in Europe + Birth year in Europe, for me this was 2564 - 2021 + 1960

Better to wait with the on-site schooling for another 2 weeks to let the 3rd wave slow down than forcing all students of all ages to get vaccinated... online schooling is available (though not really effective the way it works here...)
