So the final new rules wont be published in the Royal Gazet before 2nd or 3rd november.
The time people do in that order: book plane, book hotel => COE ... dont expect to see some new tourists before end of november in Pattaya
And if there are stil:
- mandatory insuranceor
- COE
or
- curfew
or
- bar closed
or
- masks mandatory everywhere even outside
... then the high season in december/january wont happen at all and much more buisness will close ????

Next year there will be a new variant and the vaccines wont work. Thailand will have to wait for 1 year to have the new vaccines.
That <deleted> has to end today or never. Elderly people have been vaccinated in Thailand ? The rest of the population have 0,0000001% chance to die.

i still think dec jan.we all wait and see
Too late now, tourists won't start to booking their holidays in Thailand before they'll see that everything is opened with no restrictions, no quarantine.
More business will close in Pattaya, that's sad. All those closure will also delay the return of a "normal" Pattaya and the return of tourists.- 2

With all those announcements / cancellations, now it's too late, the high season wont happen for the second year.
The anger of thai people is still growing and that 2nd missed high season wont help to calm them down. What I really fear now is that after 2 or 3 months, the pandemic will be definitively over but we wont be able to enjoy life, ????

If they continue their "zero case covid" policy for sure they wont reopen for a very very long time.
BUt if they give vaccines to fragile people and only count the hosptilazations/deaths, a reopening in september/october is still doable.

That fake news has been denied by an official on twitter:
-
1,000 or 10,000 cases per day, who cares ?
2,200 deaths in 1 year 1/2 = 0,003% of the thai population

Chinese TOURISTS ??? Impossible, because untill 31th december 2021 they will all have to do a 2-3 weeks quarantine when they'll go back to China.

If you are french:
- they already received 10,000 doses of J&J. We must be less than 20,000 in Thailand, enough to vaccine all the french > 55 yo- with the remaining doses, they will vaccine people > 50yo then > 45 yo ?
- the ambassador said he will import more doses, he said that he wants that all french people living in Thailand can be vaccinated- 2

For information, Thailand has forbiden the french ambassy to vaccine people from other countries (including thai people).
That means that I will be vaccinated by my ambassy (at Bangkok Hospital Pattaya and later because I'm under 55), but not my thai wife ! ????

Even a 3 days quarantine is too much.
There are still people from BKK coming to pattaya, and you have 1000x more chance to catch the covid with that population rather than vaccinated + tested tourists.- 20

Thank you all, problem solved. At the airport arrival, officials confirmed that he doesn't have to isolate himself for 14 days after a quarantine.

I know someone who is today in quarantine at an ASQ in Bangkok.
He plans to come back to his home at Chiang Rai in a few days.
He called his "boss village" and he told him that his familly has to self isolate for another new 14 days quarantine = 1 month quarantine ???
Is that true ?
(I believed that once you had the paper from your ASQ at the end of your quarantine, you could go where you want in Thailand without a new quarantine !)

I called one Fascino pharmacy, but they dont sale that kit.
Are those kits available for sale in Pattaya ?
PS: I ask that question because vaccins are still not available for us in Pattaya and maybe... for a long time. I would feel more confident if I knew that I had already catch the virus and have the antigens.

That doesn't surprise me. A cousin of my wife is working in a factory at Bangkok. All employees received a first injection of Sinovac last week.
Priority is Bangkok and its cluster. No problem for me.
But why ALL ambassies/consulates in Thailand are not giving NOW vaccines for free to all their citizens in a country where the 3rd wave is booming ?

Yes but you didn't need to do a new Visa.
For every 1 year extension they dont ask proof of an oversea bank transfer, that's required only when you apply for your 3 months visa.
That issue concerns thousands of foreigners that are today in Europe/USA because of the covid, have an expired retirement visa and will have to do a new visa with a very old deposit account.
Thailand Nov 1 reopening to go ahead providing COVID-19 situation remains stable
