Thank you and you are right, that may depend of the office.
I did my Visa more than 10 years ago and for 10 years they never asked me the "Evidence of foreign currency fund transferred to Thailand" at Jomtien Immigration.
For 1 year extension I'm sure that this document is not required.
But someone who did a new Visa this year at Jomtien could confirm that this document is not required ?
(maybe guru @ubonjoehas the answer ? ???? )

After a stay of 10 months in Europe (because of Covid), my mum finally came back to Thailand.
She came with a TR Visa and she has to redo all the process to come back to a retirement Visa.
I will prepare all the papers for her.
The first thing to do at Jomtien is a new 3 month 50yo retirement visa non-o.
Here is the list of the required documents: https://bangkokimmigration.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/08-edit_NON-O.pdf
That's the first time I read something about the "Evidence of foreign currency fund transferred to Thailand":
My mum has a fixed deposit account with more than 800k that she opened 8 years ago.
I know I need a letter from her bank: does that letter (in thai) tells that the funds came from abroad or does she need another paper ?
Thank you.

Please don't panic because of those figures in jails.
What really matters are those figures, all the new rules/restrictions will depend on the new color of your province:
-
Lets give the double of doses of Pfizer to Thailand, that would be a win/win deal.
Sign today and start to vaccine all foreigners next week.
-
Dont forget that wearing mask outside is NOT mandatory in the kingdom, that's just an order from Chiang Mai's province.
Imagine that you're a foreigner that:
- don't speak thai, don't watch thai TV
- don't meet friends because bars are closed etc..
- don't have internet to read the last rules of your province, translated in your own langage ... and imagine you're born in Moldavia ! ????

Update:
I finally registered with "section 38" on Android and it worked.

I just tried to do a TM30 for my mum.
I went to Login For FN Hotel with Chrome (Windows 10).
I loggued in, filled the form and when I clicked on save, I had this message:
I think that's an error message, because when I went here, I could not find the TM30:
Did I do something wrong ?

And how are the long awaited tourists supposed to get to Phuket ? No planes are flying from most of the countries, definitely none from Australia. Thai Airways won't be flying for years, if ever again !
Wait ... they said they'll start to promote Phuket in june.

With the new thai Aztrazeneca factory in may, that's doable to vaccine 70% of Phuket.
500,000 people X 70% = 350,000 people

I just answer a last time to "follow the topic", this little chalenge is fun after all ????
If the OP do not reformat all for a new clean install and find a trick, I'm just curious to see if the issue was not about privilege (= my "diversion" because I'm a kind of troll or spamer or whatever).
Privilege => Windows UAC & Windows Defender => ... solution ?
Original post from the OP:
QuoteI have administrators rights and whatever selection I make is fine until I click OK when it reverts back to Disabled and refuses to change to anything else.
PS: @conndaI read the solutions of your link, nothing about privilege, if one of your solution works, I will of course apologize ????

not only privileges:
- the service's executable file could be corrupted
One SFC scan do the job.

Do an easy test:
- login as admin
- find a folder "read only"
- unflag "read only" and recheck if it's unflaged (even if previously you didn't have any message): if it's still "read only", then you too you have priviledge issues. In 2019 that would have never happened.
PS: It's like the OP that set a service to run automaticaly, no message and windows doesn't save its new setting.

But why are you suggesting that he deactivates Windows Defender? For what reason?
Because there are so many interactions between Windows UAC and Windows Defender = mess in 2020-21 updates !

You still haven't explained why he would need to Desactivate Windows Defender in the first place.
Because I and my friends we had MANY issues in 2020-21 with the last Windows 10 & Windows Defender updates. Especially about priviledges. And if the OP can not run one service, guess what...

OK I found that tool and I tested, it works. You can manually unactivate Windows Defender with this tool:
https://www.sordum.org/9480/defender-control-v1-7/
Then the OP should try to:
1 - Uninstall his 3rd party anti-virus and reboot = Windows Defender will be reactivated.
2 - Run that tool to unactivate WD:

If that's a priviledge issue caused by his antivirus and windows 10 priviledges (= windows defender), then the OP should try to:
1 - Uninstall his 3rd party anti-virus & reboot
2 - Desactivate Windows Defender and tell the OP how to do it because that was possible years ago but not today !
-
I had tons of priviledge issues with Avast for more than 1 year, I just share my experience, it worked for me.
-
Let him give a try and reinstall Avast if it doesn't work.
That's better than format/reinstall Windows 10.

I used to work IT consultant.
If a service can't run, that's a priviledge issue.

That's exactly what will do my mum when she will come back to Thailand this month: she has a TR Visa and she will apply for a new non-o retirement visa once in Thailand.
@ubonjoeCan you confirm that:
- She can apply for her new non-o retirement visa in Jomtien ? (she wont need to go to Bangkok ?)
- She has to apply for a new visa at least 15 days before the end of her TR visa ?
-
My mum bought her plane ticket for end of april, she is not vaccinated.
But what means the new 10 days quarantine ? 9, 10 or 11 night in the hotel ?
(untill now their 14 days quarantine = 15 nights in the hotel)

They used to sell 2 x 200g bars of Casino Noir chocolate for about 139 baht. Not sure if they are still that price.
Maybe was it a promotion "2 for 1" ?
I only noticed increased prices for french and fresh products.

Best price for a PS5 that I found is 20,000 bahts: https://www.kaidee.com/product-360849742
The saler lives in Bang Khen, Bangkok
I would suggest you to go and see him (and the console running) before you'll buy it.

Yesterday I noticed that many french products, especialy "charcuterie" (saucisson, andouillettes etc...), are around 20% more expensive. Those new prices have been changed 4 days ago I think.
What happened ? Is it temporary?

New non-im Visa: 800K and "Evidence of foreign currency fund transferred to Thailand" ?
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
Yes I'll go next week ask them how to sort it out, thank you ????
I think many people will have exactly the same problem as my mum: many people with retirement visa came back to their countries and were not able to come back to Thailand for months because of the covid. Now they have to restart from zero the visa process with a sleeping 800k deposit account and a bank transfer from oversea done decades ago ! Or maybe @ubonjoehas another answer ? Showing the old visa on your passport + bank book of your deposit account is not the proof that you allready showed that you did an international bank transfer years ago ?
