  1. Where? Other than Federal employees and the foreign born there's been nothing but job growth since Inauguration Day. Grow the private sector economy, deport the illegals and get rid of fat in the Federal gub'ment. As promised. https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/USPRIV You need to look at the actual numbers and not just what CNN, MSDNC, Whoopie, Joy and Rachel want you to see.
  2. Gosh. It almost makes you wish the Dems had put up a qualified candidate. 2024 was theirs to lose. And boy, did they ever. Gonna be a rough 3+ years for some... But not for America, with the economy zipping along and the borders secure.
  3. Royal Thai Air Force Unveils Locally-Made Kamikaze Drone Just for the optics, I'd suggest they refer to them as "single use drones." I think the term "kamikaze" still has the stigma of desperation.
  4. I'd suggest you rethink your plan because Airsoft guns are legal- with plastic pellets. Shooting critters with them isn't legal. And your neighbors may rat you out... And then we'll be reading about you here on AN. And some of these guys' posts aren't very nice.

It's never as good (or as bad) as I remember it. That's just the way our brains work. Except Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. They never disappoint...
  6. That's marketing genius. She could be rolling cat turds in road weed leaves, and I wouldn't know until after she had my money...
  7. Be careful what you advocate for, lest some idiot pedestrian jump in front of you, your wife, or someone else you love and you/they end up in prison through no fault of your own.
  8. Tragedies like this are why God invented dashcams.
  9. Here's a graph from Comfort, Texas a few miles from Kerrville: That's scary.
  10. That's the thing about water and mountains. The things that make us want to be there are also the very things that make them dangerous. Keep in mind that tubing/kayaking/canoeing on the Guadelupe River in Hill Country is one of the favorite Texas pilgrimages. Almost a rite of passage for high school and college kids in the state. Then they have kids and send them to the retreat centers on the river we all love. Happier times on that same river:
  11. Dr Drew (Pinsky) was right. Helicopter parenting is behind the syndrome. You're living proof.
  12. I guess we'd better clear out Florida and the Texas coast, too. Kids occasionally die in Hurricanes...
  13. You'd have to remove dozens, maybe hundreds of them. I've stayed in several retreat centers along the Guadalupe. And camped on the river. There are hundreds of places to camp along the river. What you're suggesting would be the equivalent of shutting down Phuket because there's an occasional tsunami or typhoon.
  14. I'm not sure they understand it, but they're really protesting venture capital buying up homes to put on the tourism rental market. That's driving up housing costs all over the world. Some places, worse than others. And it's been supercharged since "work at home" became mainstream during Covid. The housing prices in our little former fishing community on Galveston Island went through the roof because Houston people now only have to make the hour ++ (miserable, and sometimes several hours on a bad day) commute a few times a month. Add that to all the AirBNB conversions and it's no longer affordable for most families like it was just a few years ago. Looks like Mexico City is seeing the same phenomena with remote workers. The AP article even singles out AirBNB.
  15. Here's a follow on question: What should a buyer not skimp on, in case I decide later that I need more power than I expected? For example, is a 10K inverter twice as expensive as a 5K, or would it be a good idea to pony up for the 10K inverter up front on the chance that I may be adding more solar panels later? Similar question with the DIN (breaker) box... (Especially if I wanted to ease into solar on a constrained budget and add on as money rolls in... And I may add an EV charger and a swimming pool and... and...)
  16. As I understand it, Australia keeps them in refugee camps on remote islands and Human Rights Watch is bigly unhappy about that. I guess you can't please some folks no matter what you do. And I seriously doubt that activist judges would allow the USA to house them in squalor like that. (Edit: And without the bennies and the 3 squares a day and money to send back home, most of the newcomers would self deport anyway) In the meantime, the latest SIPP reports shows that 59% of non-citizen households are on some kind of gub'ment dole. When we're over $35T in debt. We just can't afford it. https://www.census.gov/newsroom/press-releases/2023/sipp-data.html I don't gloat over the family and individual misery that deportation causes the poor migrants who trusted the previous administrations and gave $10,000 (+/-) to the Cartels to illegally cross the border after uprooting whatever life they had back home. I think the Dems should be held personally and collectively responsible for the catastrophe. And reparations should come from the DNC budget so nobody's ever tempted to import voters again.
  17. Maybe CNN and MSDNC aren't covering them, but new facts are being revealed on a daily basis.
  18. Why is it that lefties insist that history is cast in stone and keep referring to old reports in the face of a plethora of newer evidence? You guys are still linking to the 51 "intelligence experts" who claimed the laptop wasn't Hunter's. And reports that the Dominion machines were invulnerable and couldn't be connected to the interwebs. And don't even get me started on "2 weeks to flatten the curve" or "safe and effective". All shattered by subsequent evidence and court cases.
  19. But what do you do if the lefties and activist judges won't allow you to deport them to their own country? Let them roam around the USA and commit more crimes? Or put them up in taxpayer paid accommodations? Them being sent to a 3rd country isn't on Trump or Homan. It's on the lefties who won't allow them to be sent home. Edit: Or it's on the countries that violate treaties by not taking their deported citizens back.
  20. Yet another data point. Catastrophic crash with lots of damage but no deaths, because there were no scooters. Seems like a ton of steel and seatbelts are good ideas.
  21. Looking at that propeller sticking out the back, I can't help but wonder how big the rubber band is?
  22. Call me cynical, but I'd bet they're more focused on making sure the gub'ment subsidies go to the "right" properties. The ones with political clout.
  23. Leave some extra time for photo ops. I suspect his photo may end up on a Wall of Fame somewhere that the airport, for 11 successful years. They may want to call in some bigwigs to be in the snaps. That could take time. Yes, I'm kidding. I think... Anyway, best of luck to the OP.
  24. Call me cynical, but I'm forecasting a bunch of poached leather goods showing up in the street markets. Chipping the critters is a good start, but they need to provide traceability for all the resulting products. Of course, that means that the powerful families will dominate the market and make all the moolah. Like they usually do in LOS. I wonder how they taste? Because, why waste the meat?
  25. That's a result of the syndrome. Just ask Dr Drew Pinsky. He recently spoke about that... If you or someone you know has Trump D*** S***, help is available – though the root cause of this affliction might surprise you (hint: it started long before Trump). In their new book, Thomas Pappas & Rachel Morin PhD “expose the root causes” of <removed>, including a rise in “helicopter parenting” and “millennial mentality” that create perfect conditions for deranged behavior motivated by political fear. https://drdrew.com/ Oops. Looks like the scientific/medial term for it is censored here.
