Gavin Newsom’s Stand Against Trump Revives His Presidential Hopes
This one's a little old, but I'll bet it's still a valid poop map. Imagine the entire USA looking like that. That's what Dems would be voting for if they pull the lever for Newsom.

God invented punctuation for a reason.

This is America - Listen and learn
I'll bet'cha Florida will be relatively peaceful this weekend.

Trump merchandise sold at Fort Bragg for president's speech. The sickening graft continues.
They could have been selling turds in a paper bag and ActBlue would have bought a few $ million worth of them. That's how their money laundering works. In the OP story, I don't see where Trump was selling anything. Swap meet vendors were doing what swap meet vendors do. Selling what the people want. That's as grass roots American as it gets.

And that loathing went both ways.

Public Skepticism Persists as Thailand Enforces New Traffic Fine System
IMO, impounding vehicles is all part of enforcement. Along with increasing fines for each subsequent violation. If they don't pay a second time, impound their vehicle until they do. And don't issue annual registrations until all fines are paid.

Public Skepticism Persists as Thailand Enforces New Traffic Fine System
That's not going to do it. Like most noobs, I was a hazard when I first got licensed. But I was more afraid of the cops and big $$ fines than I was of a flaming wreck. Because the fines were a lot more probable than the flaming wreck. So I practiced driving to avoid getting tickets. Not coincidentally, that was great practice to avoid flaming wrecks. The solution is enforcement. Make it expensive to drive like an idiot and fewer people will drive like idiots. And there will be fewer flaming wrecks. And focus on the behavior that puts others (like me) at risk. Not on helmets. Those are just a cash grab. Low hanging fruit.

The real siege of L.A. - ICE raids are shredding the city’s social fabric of immigrant lives
Given that the labor component is such a small percentage of food prices, most Americans (myself included) would gladly pay 10% more for peaches if it meant not paying about $150B a year on taking care of "newcomers". Especially those who go on to commit even more crimes once they get to the Promised Land. Hats off to Mayor Eric Adams who revealed that NYC's cost of caring for them was $36,000 a head per year. Multiply that by 10 million heads or so, and you're talking real money. When we're over $35T in debt.

Nah. We're mostly against giving free stuff to people who break the law to come into the country. We're broke. Over $35T in debt. We can't afford it. Trump would have to deport 8000 illegals a day to undo the damage Biden did. They're at about 800 a day now. It only makes sense that they're focusing on the worst of the worst. Hell, Obama deported more per day... And the vast majority never saw a judge. It was okay then. But now that's not okay? Social media posts claimed "75–83%" of people deported during the Obama administration "never saw a judge or had a chance to plead their case." Mostly True US deported more than 3M people during Obama presidency. Most did not have chance to plead case in court | Snopes.com (God, I can't believe I'm quoting Snopes.) BTW, I lived in SoCal for about 5 years and Texas for about 25.

I'd gladly pay not to waste half a day doing those farcical tests.

Seatbelt and helmet laws should be treated as secondary violations. Where they can't pull you over just for those, but they can pile on additional fines if you're not wearing them when you commit offenses that actually put others at risk. I'd rather they focus on violations that put me and mine at risk. But I'm sure the "hang-em-high" brigade will thumb me down.

Gunfire Erupts During Restaurant Brawl in Bangkok’s Bang Khen District
I'm (not really) surprised that the article didn't mention any weapons found on the victim as he was going to the hospital. Seems like they should have arrested him, too if he had a gun in his waistband.

Xarelto (Rivaroxaban) 10 mg Bayer -- anybody see lower than 1,400 baht / 10 tablets?
Good info. If I hadn't been lazy, I'd have pulled out my Chinese generics and checked that they weren't scored, either capsules or coated. These are 20s as well. Coated and not scored.

Fact-checking Trump and Miller’s claims of a ‘migrant invasion’ in California
I'm on the board this week, and you'd be surprised how little time it takes. It's not based on my post count. It's also based on feedback and other "intangibles". (I asked when they first started that feature) I post during downtime, between errands, getting in my 10,000 steps and caring for a cancer patient GF. (Edit: And between my monthly visa runs to BKK. I'll be there again on Monday) I've had the same account for 14 years. About 10 years ago, I almost lost it when 2 of us had the same IP address. No clue how that happened but a moderator at that time knew me personally so I didn't get kicked off. Otherwise, I'd be alterego instead if impulse. I wish they'd pay me... Not really. Then I'd feel pressure.

They do. Go back home and apply legally.

The real siege of L.A. - ICE raids are shredding the city’s social fabric of immigrant lives
NYC is also huge and has thousands of buildings. We'd hardly notice 3 of them falling down, eh?

The real siege of L.A. - ICE raids are shredding the city’s social fabric of immigrant lives
Here's a puzzler... Why are the guys in the OP photo carrying Mexican flags while they're protesting getting sent to Mexico? They could be there in less than 2 hours...

The real siege of L.A. - ICE raids are shredding the city’s social fabric of immigrant lives
Kind of like Newsom carving out Covid exemptions for his favorite restaurants and carving out minimum wage exclusions for restaurants he's invested in? Rules for thee, but not for me...

Gunfire Erupts During Restaurant Brawl in Bangkok’s Bang Khen District
Upon returning to the restaurant, he alleged that the injured man brandished a firearm tucked into his waistband and physically assaulted him by grabbing him by the neck, leaving visible red marks. The man then allegedly drew his weapon, prompting Mr Phisek to fire his gun in what his father described as an act of self-defence. What else would you bring to a gunfight?

Will the No Kings protests be peaceful or another excuse to …
No Kings. That'll be even better than Amazon's Black Friday sales. Even Amazon doesn't have 100% discounts. The lefties will.

Xarelto (Rivaroxaban) 10 mg Bayer -- anybody see lower than 1,400 baht / 10 tablets?
Are they scored? Because I'm a cheap bastard and have no issues breaking one in half if it saves me a wad. Years ago, I got in the habit of requesting the Thai made alternatives to spendy western prescriptions. Most of mine have been heart related, and I don't ever remember being disappointed with the local made meds. Edit: I'd add that I had many follow ups after my 4x bypass at Bumrungrad, and my results were always as expected after taking the cheaper local meds. I didn't notice any difference with the high priced alternatives, and neither did my docs.
