  1. Strangely, I don't see any looting or arson, unlike the loons who burned stuff down for almost a week after HRC claimed to be cheated. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/anti-trump-protests-carry-on-for-fourth-straight-day-after-election/
  2. That's only because nobody wants to see a President Harris. Nobody. (Except maybe Kamala) Edit: If he'd chosen HRC as his running mate, he'd probably be pushing up daisies already.
  3. Maybe they can do a sub-lease to the USA after January? 102,000? Pffffft.
  4. Don't guess you looked, but the guy arrested is a gay man, and they met on Grindr. Why not call out all gay people? Or Grindr? What is a 14 year old doing dating a 29 year old? You probably also haven't noticed that a big percentage of recent mass shootings have been perpetrated by trans people. Leads me to wonder whether there's something about messing with endocrinology that causes violent tendencies. Or maybe gender dysphoria is a sign of even darker symptoms? https://apnews.com/article/pennsylvania-transgender-teen-murder-79b8ae38aa3f56aa519504ed67803aba https://www.northjersey.com/story/news/crime/2024/07/09/pauly-likens-sharon-pa-shenago-river-lake-dashawn-watkins/74341091007/
  5. The toughest job in Washington is live closed captioning a Biden speech. What does frumplehump really mean? The guys that do the official White House transcripts have it easier, because they just make crap up. And that's why it's so important to get the Hur testimony recordings. Can't trust the transcripts...
  6. The most irritating thing is their confession by projection, where they claim it's the conservatives that are burning cities, causing general mayhem and threatening democracy.
  7. The proof is already in the history books when the Russkies, Hamas, and the Taliban stayed in their lane during Trump's watch. Unlike Obama's or Biden's, where we now have the highest risk of WW3 and nuclear Armageddon since the '80s. And maybe since the '60s. The interview is just a glimpse of what he did to make it so, in spite of all the claims that he was just lucky. I'd rather have mean tweets and "alleged proclivities" than the threat of WW3, a border crisis, and 9% inflation. Even if the President is a silver tongue devil (which Biden certainly can't claim)
  8. With so many talented black women to choose from, the only conclusion I can draw is that he chose the one that guaranteed he wouldn't be impeached when the classified documents, the influence peddling, and using tax money to bribe the Ukrainians to fire the prosecutor investigating his kid's gravy train came to light. And so far it's worked...
  9. FWIW: Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer ruled prosecutors cannot introduce evidence of Baldwin’s role as a producer on “Rust,” which was a big win for the star. https://dailycaller.com/2024/07/08/alec-baldwin-win-court-rust-pre-trial-producer-fatal-shooting-halyna-hutchins/
  10. Here's a story you probably won't read on lefty media: In an interview between Sage Steele with Reps. Byron Donalds and Wesley Hunt (all 3 of them being minorities that Trumps has been accused by the Dems of hating), Rep Hunt let on why there was relative peace on Trump’s watch: “It’s President Trump and Mike Pompeo, and they are talking to Taliban leadership in the room, and they had one translator in the room.” During these negotiations, President Trump reportedly looked directly at the Taliban leader and warned him, “If you harm a hair on a single American, I’m gonna kill you.” He then reached into his pocket, pulled out a satellite image of the Taliban leader’s home, handed it to him, and left the room without another word. “Sure enough, for 18 months, not a single American was killed in Afghanistan,” Hunt said. “That is the definition of strength; that’s what I’m talking about.” https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/07/rep-wesley-hunt-recounts-trumps-legendary-move-threatens/ The story has also found its way around several other un-lefty sources. You can Google it... So, yeah. That's the guy I want representing me, as an American. Not someone that just says "Don't". Even if his tweets are mean and he has "proclivities".
  11. How about saying Kennedy and Clinton were shameless mongers, but they had great presidencies. Carter was a decent human being, but he was a disaster as president. Regardless of what you think of Trump's "proclivities", his presidency didn't bring us 9% inflation, 10+ million illegals that will need to be dealt with at a cost of $trillions, Russia in Ukraine, Hamas in Israel, WW3 and nuclear annihilation in the air, and a guy that can't string 3 words together. I was never a fan of The Donald, often referring to him as a despicable human being. I despised him as a TV personality. But he was a pretty good president, and seeing the way he's been "lawfared" pushes me further and further to support him. And the odds that he'll push some positive reforms in DC may be low, but they're greater than Zero. Biden or Harris? The odds of reforms are 0.0%. And the DC Swamp desperately needs reform.
  12. DeSantis knows he's not ready. He's doing a great job in Florida, but he needs some more likeability and speech coaching before he goes up against a Newsom, who is driving California into the ground, but looks better on TV.
  13. I wonder how many do-overs the water carrying MSM are going to give him. Not that he looks any better. I guess they want to keep dialing in the combination and dosages...
  14. There's a counter argument that the longer they wait to announce the Obama/Newsom ticket, the less time they'll be under the scrutiny that's inevitable for a presidential candidate. They may even remain in the honeymoon phase through election day. Substitute any names you like for Obama/Newsom. Here's a kick in the nuts... Michelle/Hillary. Giving both Bill and Barack their 3rd term.
  15. I recently heard a perfect explanation of the difference between lefties and righties. Righties believe lefties are generally good people, with some dumb beliefs. Lefties think righties are dumb people. Saw it all the time in Galveston where I was a Covid refugee. People wearing Biden/Harris hats and T-shirts weren't harangued, while people wearing MAGA hats and tees were accosted and even asked to leave some events and venues. Trump signs were ripped out of front yards, while Biden signs stayed right where they were.
  16. Schiff better be careful what he asks for. If they started requiring cognitive tests for elected officials, Congress would be completely reshaped. Personally, I'd be in favor, especially if they included tests for psychopathy and sociopathy .
  17. I haven't kept up because the case has become so "he said, she said" But I recall from early in the news cycle that some of the staff was practice shooting with live ammo during idle time (or after hours?). The scenario I had put together in my mind is that they came back from lunch offsite just before "it" happened. Which made me suspect that maybe some staff members who didn't go to lunch with them loaded up some pistols and practiced shooting during lunch (probably in violation of safety rules). And they either forgot to unload the live ammo, or the crew got back unexpectedly and they didn't want to get caught out breaking the safety rules, so they just put the pistols down. Can anyone comment on the probability that's what happened? I don't have the give-a-dam to go back over months and months of testimony and thousands of pages of media coverage. Hoping someone here has kept up with it and their brain didn't leak like mine does. Bottom line, who brought the live ammo on set, and why? I'm still not clear on that. I'm not a fan of Baldwin as a human being (though I like some of his movies), but I don't see too much fault on his part if he thought it was a prop gun, handed to him by an armorer who declared it safe. Also begs the question why they they don't make prop guns that just won't fire live ammo. Seems like a cheap modification to the barrel (semi-auto or derringer) or cylinder (revolver) to prevent a full length shell from even loading.
  18. Maybe that's a confession... Like that time he bribed Ukraine to get rid of the guy prosecuting his kid, then bragged about it. https://www2.cbn.com/news/us/usps-whistleblowers-say-hundreds-thousands-ballots-disappeared-or-backdated-3-swing-states
  19. Thanks for the reply. That was my theory, based on what happens in the USA when lefties are elected that defund the police and decriminalize looting up to $900. It emboldens the petty criminals that know they won't see any consequences under the new regime. But as I said, I don't know enough about French politics.
  20. I apologize that I couldn't vet these links because they're blocked here. But a Bing search revealed: https://www.msn.com/en-xl/news/other/violent-clashes-break-out-across-france-after-left-wing-s-surprise-election-win/ar-BB1pzswi https://dailytelegraph.co.nz/news/french-election-results-trigger-riots/ https://newsrescue.com/french-election-results-trigger-riots-videos/ https://ussanews.com/2024/07/07/french-election-results-trigger-riots-videos/ https://thepressunited.com/updates/french-election-results-trigger-riots-videos/ I'm sure a Google search in English would be even more comprehensive
  21. They didn't call it the National Socialist German Workers’ Party fer nuthin'
  22. Also being reported on Fox and other right wing sites. If they're wrong, how about discussing their facts instead of attacking the source?
  23. I don't know enough to come down on either side in France. Can someone explain the rioting? It's being described this way on RT: Riots and looting broke out across France as left-wing supporters flooded the streets to celebrate the New Popular Front coalition's victory over the right-wing National Rally and President Emmanuel Macron’s centrists, after early results were released on Sunday night. Is that how they celebrate a win? Burning and looting? Did the left's win embolden them due to lack of expected consequences? Or is there another dynamic?
  24. He must be the worst grifter EVER. The only president in recent history that's worth less than he was going in. https://blog.cheapism.com/what-presidents-are-worth/ Or it just may be possible he's doing it to Make America Great Again, in spite of the personal cost. (Wonder how many scrunchy face emojis I'll win with that one?)
  25. I'm not meaning to be a smart ass here, but sometimes the best thing to do is find a visa agent to help you with the details. Contrary to urban myth, they're not all dodgy. A lot of guys use them just so they get all the paperwork right and don't have to wait in queues. For a first timer, that's the way I'd go. I'd suggest contacting one before you leave Thailand (if you have enough time before your flight). If they can help you, it'll be a couple hundred USD. If they can't, you've lost nothing but your time. And you'll have a better idea what your best options are. Keep in mind that the "rules" may be a constant, but how they're interpreted can vary by bank, by branch and by Immigration Office- even by your nationality. Agents keep up with all of that.
