  1. Not to mention the places where I had to flash my vaccine record to even get in to eat or shop. And if there had been no massive pushback, we'd all be pulling out our vaccine passports to board a flight or cross a border. Edit: Pushback by brave people who were ostracized and had a painful death wished upon them, evident in a previous montage post.
  2. No it's not. Unlike the Dem machine, they allow dissent and open discussion within the ranks. The Dems just cancel those who don't get onboard.
  3. I agree. But I also realize that a lot of what's being said here (on both sides) has been long festering in many cases.
  4. While that may be true, keep in mind there's a lot of pent up frustration since this sub-section is the first in several years to allow the other side to comment. For the past several years, all links to alternative information have been deleted.
  5. So, what you're saying is that the Ukes in the areas annexed by Putin will be better off financially?
  6. A little after midnight, it sounds more like a drug deal gone sideways, than a landlord looking for the rent.
  7. I'm wondering who collects rent at 00:10 in the morning? Maybe there's more to the story?
  8. They "chose" not to prosecute before because you can't prosecute a sitting president. First, you have to impeach him. Which the Dems wouldn't vote for under any circumstances. After he's no longer the sitting president (and Kamala is no longer in the wings...) it may get good.
  9. REP. MIKE LAWLER: “I’ll give you the direct line. A Chinese company transferred money to a shell company owned by Hunter and Jim Biden that then transferred money directly to Jim and Sarah Biden’s shell company that then transferred the money to Jim and Sarah’s personal account, who then immediately wrote a check for $40,000 to Joe Biden. So to say that there was no evidence is not true.” He said it on CNN, to Abby Phillip. If it wasn't true, where's the lefty outrage and the defamation lawsuit? Or you can refer to the House Report or the Hur Report. Plenty of evidence in both. But they can't prosecute a sitting president, and the Dems could catch Biden on the White House lawn with a severed head in one hand and a bloody machete in the other, and they still wouldn't vote to impeach him. Edit: And if you look at who was next in line, I'm kinda very glad they didn't.
  10. If you think about it, it's not a matter of,"if", but "when". And will there be a Plan B?
  11. All true... But I'm of the opinion that knowing there's a fire is the start of any escape.
  12. We could solve a lot of that with term limits. But that would require support from the very people who would be voting themselves out of the most lucrative job they'll ever have.
  13. Seems like the appropriate way to protect Grandma was to give her the shot, not force everyone else to take it. Provided, of course, that the shot worked. But then, if it didn't work... Why would you force people to take it? $$$
  14. That's the downside of having a slow connection. I had read the article and replied before I even knew there were photos. If I was on my phone over weak 4G, I'd probably still be waiting to see that 2nd photo. And by then, I've lost all interest and moved on.
  15. Farmers across the country are planning a significant escalation in their protests against the government’s recent inheritance tax changes. In a bold move, radical elements within farming protest groups are preparing to blockade supermarket distribution centers, potentially crippling the nation’s food supply chain. What about that first paragraph suggests the UK? I'll grant you the photo, but if you have a slow connection like mine, I had read the entire article before the first photo popped up. I'm still waiting to see what's in the 2nd photo. Sometimes, they don't pop up at all.
  16. 2 birds with one stone. They got to make Trump look like an idiot for suggesting HCQ (which was the standard hospital treatment at the time), and allowed the EUA for the mRNA gene therapy to proceed. Had there been a proven effective therapy, there would have been no EUA.
  17. Had to get 4 paragraphs in to figure out it's the UK. Might have been France, Germany, Poland, the USA or...or...
  18. My heart goes out to the guy trying to find another room today. I don't know about Pattaya, but in the areas I scouted, every reasonably priced hotel was fully booked, and most of the flop house hostels. I ended up cutting my December trip short and flying out because of that. (And a stupid decision on my part...)
  19. The last bumper sticker that I saw said that complaints should be directed to 1-800-EAT-POOP. Only, they didn't use POOP.
  20. Nice try. Coastal erosion has been going on for billions of years. Long before industrialization. Look at the white cliffs of Dover for proof of that. But they just couldn't resist throwing climate change into the story. Or, more likely, the only reason the story was even written was to advance the narrative.
  21. A now deleted post legitimately pondered that I may be plugging for the service (Nebula), and I admit it sounds like I am. But I'm genuinely looking for alternative suggestions that others have tried and recommend. And I'd also say that, if I had unfettered access to Youtube, X, etc, Nebula would be pretty redundant and not so attractive to me.
  22. Do you drink processed pineapple juice, or do you juice fresh pineapples? Or does it make a difference to its effectiveness?
  23. Recently enrolled in a $6 monthly subscription to nebula.tv, and it's worth every penny to me. But the content isn't very comprehensive. Personal circumstances have me staying in China where Youtube, Facebook, and other social media is blocked. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised that Nebula isn't blocked on one end or the other. Which got me to wondering, are there are other subscription content channels to try? Anyone got a favorite? (VPN, while available in China, is frowned upon and I've already been chastised by the ISP for using one. Since I can't afford to put my visa at risk, that's not an option)
  24. That's been my experience in the real world. Even back in the nanny state where antibiotics are by prescription only, I've never been swabbed and cultured for a proper diagnosis. Not in 67 years of walking the planet, most of those years with a deviated septum that made me susceptible to sinus problems. In fact, I don't recall the last time I even saw a doctor for a sinus problem. They do that "diagnosis" over the phone now, and call in the antibiotic de jour, suggesting I call them back for another if that one doesn't solve the problem. Leading me to characterize it as a guess... An expensive guess.
