  1. Yeah, but the important thing is that it was quite pleasant for some expats. Even if it devastated the locals.
  2. So true. Every time he appears in public, he reminds voters of the Dem fibs to cover it all up. And the fibs of the MSM, who must cringe every time they see him. The MSM must be in quite a quandary, deciding whether it's better that they be seen by viewers as liars, or incompetent. Because it's so obviously one or the other...
  3. Does this mean they won't be putting him on Mt Rushmore? Fickle lot, those Democrats.
  4. This shows desperation to deflect. Not a good sign. It does show desperation, but not to deflect. It's desperation on the part of the Dems who wish Biden would just go away. It's even got its own thread: Are we taking bets on how many midterm candidates will be asking Biden to stump for them? Other than Republicans, I mean. They'd be thrilled to see him on the campaign trail. Dems, not so thrilled.
  5. One death in 10 million population. Still liking those odds. No data on ages and comorbidities?
  6. I said it's got a lot of the bells and whistles. Not all of them. And $400 million sounds a lot cheaper than the $1.95 billion we're paying Boeing. Besides, $400 million for an aircraft you actually get sounds better than $3.9 billion for 2 that you don't.
  7. I saw that. He was on the View and BBC just last week. Lots of Dems aren't too happy about that...
  8. No clue here... Call Big Balls and ask. But given that it was custom built for Qatari royals, I suspect it's already got a lot of the bells and whistles. BTW, Boeing agreed to $3.9 billion for 2 of them, so bringing one in for $400 million of modifications seems like quite the deal. Even to Boeing, who is claiming to be losing a few $billion since it was a fixed price contract. They may be real happy they don't have to produce the 2nd at such a loss. Air Force One debacle: Boeing has now lost more than $1 billion on each of the president’s two new jets | CNN Business
  9. Sooner or later, they were going to bump up against that "Get Out of Jail" card he has. It was a good try, nonetheless.
  10. A significant factor in what? The increase in flights to other nearby tourist destinations, or the decrease in flights to LOS?
  11. Sure. Just list the ones where she was wrong. Because nobody notices when she's right. Besides... Wikipedia? They're about as trustworthy as Dems-Are-Us fact checkers. Or NPR nowadays.
  12. That's karma giving the proverbial finger to all you guys that say karma doesn't exist... I'd go out and buy a lottery ticket, but I won't arrive until mid-week.
  13. Here's an idea... List all of them, then check off the ones that were actually true. Just because she's a wingnut doesn't mean she's always wrong. I suspect her batting average could use some help, but she's been right, too.
  14. As I recall, 747's aren't converted to Air Force One. They're built from the ground up, even using different alloys than a production 747. Of course, it's possible that the Qatari's ordered it that way for their ruling family. Nothing but the best... Heck, it may be better than a US gub'ment specked AF1. I don't have a dog in this fight. I could see it going many different ways. But I'm not all up in arms, given how many freebies the US taxpayers have paid for around the world. Including a lot more than $400 million of free airplanes. Maybe it's time we got some back... Call it a modest "thank you" for spending $billions keeping the sea lanes open for their oil. And I am glad to see Boeing feel the pressure and shame, so maybe they'll get their house in order and start delivering stuff on time and not stuff that falls out of the sky.
  15. Where does it say the vaccination rate went down? The Mennonites have had the same vaccination rate forever. Zero. Europe had an increase in cases before the claimed "backslide in their vaccination rates" due to Covid. Which they provide no numbers to support, BTW. Because that wouldn't support their narratives. The variable in both Europe and the USA is the number unvetted guests from the 3rd world. Not vaccination rate.
  16. On his watch... You're kidding, right? Whose watch is doing it to Europe, who reported over 125,000 cases in 2024. Double the 2023 caseload. Could it be the unfettered migration from the 3rd world? Nah. That wouldn't fit the narrative. But humor me. If it was due to unvetted newcomers, who shut down the border? (And who left it wide ass open for 4 years?) European Region reports highest number of measles cases in more than 25 years – UNICEF, WHO/Europe https://www.who.int/
  17. When did Trump undermine and underfund the act? In his first 100 days? I'm genuinely curious.
  18. Or is that no hands Dave, at a Soi6 bar?
  19. Have you seen an actual summary of how much Biden's negotiations have saved US patients? Not rosy election year projections. Actual numbers. Real patients. Not hypotheticals. Because it ain't $1.8 billion. They haven't saved me a dime. Edit: BTW, US prescription spending is >$700 billion a year. How much of a savings is $1.8 billion spread over 10 years? Put it in percentage numbers, if you don't mind...
  20. Yet, the lefties are already claiming that it hasn't worked.
  21. I'm all for it if it shames Boeing into getting their house in order.
  22. Have you seen the summary of the actual savings? Because they were supposed to kick in starting in 2026. All I've seen is rosy projections.
  23. Keep at it. Unhinged is what got Trump elected. It'll also get Vance elected in 2028.
  24. Do you honestly think that anything got cheaper under biden? We don't know yet... The Biden price reductions were supposed to kick in starting in 2026. On 10 (count 'em 10) of the thousands of prescriptions in the pharmacy.
