Blow to Biden as poll shows Trump in lead for 2024 presidential election

Employers have added 14 million jobs

My only objection to immigration is how it's being done. America could tweak immigration policies and attract millions of the best and brightest from around the world. Scientists, engineers, finance wizards, health care workers, and good hard working blue collar non-criminals. (But they may vote Republican.) So instead, we have a wide open southern border with millions of unknown, unvetted people whose first act in the USA is a crime. What could possibly go wrong? -
Not quite into my 70's yet, but I didn't spend trillions of dollars and I didn't break the southern border and allow in millions and millions of unvetted illegals with no idea who they are, their criminal histories, where they're from, what ailments they're bringing with them, or what their employment prospects are. The effect of both of those are likely to linger for years, maybe even decades.

C H is contending that the public has the right to know a candidate's health. I'm saying, be careful what you ask for, because you just may get it. And you may not like it when it's your guy getting it. And you really need to watch more right wing stuff if you want to be up on the latest spoiler alerts. We used to call them conspiracy theories, until so many have come true.

I'm just saying that there's a huge political price to pay for declaring martial law. Looking at FBI crime statistics, it's a sad fact that cracking down on crime necessitates arresting a lot of the "protected classes", and the MSM isn't going to let that pass without screaming about racial injustice. When Trump tried to send in the Guard for the BLM riots, I first thought it was over reach. But that's because I only saw the MSM, showing only the peaceful parts. It took awhile for the right wing media to show the not-so-peaceful places where entire city blocks were demolished. I later came around to question why Trump hadn't acted more forcefully. But the answer was in the media coverage.

Is that evidence of cognitive decline, or of exhaustion from being pulled in 91 different directions by partisan legal attempts to keep him off the campaign trail. Frankly, I'm surprised the guy hasn't vapor locked already. Proving he's tough enough to be the leader of the free world, whether you agree with his policies or not. Compare that to the current leader who has to be led away from the podium for a nap after each incoherent rant. There's a reason war is breaking out all over the world. US weakness.

She'd be an idiot to drop out. IMO, DeSantis was wrong to drop out. The only way either could win is if Trump gets taken out by legal attacks. Haley may be the "last man standing" if Trump's legal problems force him out, which is looking about 50:50 (that's just my guess). But I think DeSantis would easily close the gap with her if Trump voters couldn't vote for Trump. They'd migrate preferentially to Ron D. BTW, regarding Haley, I'm with Rand Paul. (Anyone, but not Haley). She's the Repub choice of globalists and war mongers everywhere. Not saying I'm sure she's a war monger, but her history sure points in that direction. And definitely not an "America first" politician.

Those retirees seem to be bringing quite a few jobs with them. Florida gained 240,600 jobs (2.5%) since December 2022. https://www.floridajobs.org/workforce-statistics/workforce-statistics-data-releases/latest-statistics Lots of those jobs seem to be coming from New York refugees... https://moneywise.com/employment/florida-overtakes-new-york-in-job-numbers

Vivek actually predicted it. He claimed that the objective was to eliminate all contenders aside from Trump and their preferred candidate, then double down on the legal attacks against Trump so their preferred candidate would be the one. I think DeSantis made a mistake here. If (when?) Trump gets taken out, his voters would be a lot more likely to migrate to DeSantis than to Haley. So being in 3rd place, down just a couple of points, didn't mean a loss. And a Trump exit is the only shot any of them (including Vivek) had.

America and Iran step closer to the brink of war
impulse replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Yeah. I miss the mean tweets. Sadly, there's a political belief that voters are reluctant to switch leaders during time of war. So the timing would fit... -
You mean the state with one of the highest population growths in the US. The one that attracts so many people leaving their blue disasters, to live the way they want? https://www.homesnacks.com/fastest-growing-states/ https://www.statista.com/chart/12484/population-growth-in-the-united-states-by-federal-state/ I suppose you'd prefer Newsom, whose state is losing population as people flee his policies? Why do ya figure so many people are leaving blue states to live in red ones?
