  1. I was using ExpressVPN quite successfully for years pre-Covid. Post Covid, I fired up the VPN and the next day we got a phone call from our ISP's security team telling us they detected a VPN at our IP address and that needed to stop. So I stopped. Good info, BTW. Thanks for that. I'll sign up on my next monthly BKK trip. Edit: Someone in a less precarious visa situation may have bigger balls than I do. But I'm here to help care for a GF with cancer so I can't risk the trouble on a tourism visa. They've been really good about letting me come and go so I won't abuse that.
  2. So they showed up to get paid. He reneged. Then he blocked them from leaving and even chased them down. What am I missing?
  3. He should offer classes. Probably make a mint.
  4. Your guess has been noted. I'm not saying you're wrong. I just don't know, and the OP didn't mention. 80% sounds a little high for YABA or Meth, etc. Sounds about right for weed and/or Kratom. But I admit I don't know. Edit: I'd add that the 10% serious addiction rate sounds about right for the really hard stuff.
  5. I'm pretty sure Musk is keenly aware of what it costs to lay people off, having fired about 80% of the Twitter staff and ending up with a better platform for it. Last time I looked, X is making about the same $$ profit on half the revenue (because of the predictable lefty advertiser boycott). So maybe the gub'ment can provide a better level of service with fewer employees if they can shed the ones that are working against their customers... The citizens. Gub'ment was never meant to be a jobs program for the otherwise unemployable. Anyone who's ever had to deal with getting a new driver's license can tell you a horror story. Not all DMV employees are lumps of useless skin, but about 20% of the good 'uns have to pick up the slack for the 80% that are. It's the same across Federal agencies, too.
  6. Nah. They keep a photo of Rachel Maddow and some KY in their sock drawer for that.
  7. Your video isn't coming up here, but if it's a reference to The Beatles' "Why Don't We Do It in The Road", that's not what the song's about. McCartney wrote the song after seeing two monkeys copulating in the street while on retreat in Rishikesh, India, with the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
  8. I chalked that up to handicap access. Even blind people can find the rest room.
  9. I agree in the malls. I'm very favorably impressed. The roadside (Including gas stations) rest stops and facilities in the Parks, not so much.
  10. I salute the initiative. And I hope it's more than new buckets and ladles for the squatty potties.
  11. How's this for ineptitude? The judge ruled that DHS can't deport them, so Team Trump used the DOD to deport them. It turns out Murphy’s order only applied to the Department of Homeland Security, not any other federal agencies. So, Team Trump decided to use the Department of Defense (DOD) to ship out illegal aliens, thus outwitting Murphy. In a Wednesday court filing, an attorney representing DHS pointed out that because the DOD is not a defendant in the case, the deportations it has carried out so far comply with the Biden judge’s order. 4D Chess. Trump Administration Utilizes a Brilliant Workaround to Outwit Biden Judge Who Tried to Bar Them from Deporting Certain Illegal Aliens | The Gateway Pundit | by Cullen Linebarger
  12. The videos he posted did (IMO) show the whole building falling at a similar rate. Which can only happen if it failed from the bottom. So again, I'm tuned in for his data, not the analysis.
  13. Nope. I'm admittedly pretty ignorant of high finance and the vagaries of international banking. Thanks for clearing that up. Edit: I thought maybe Barclaycard was a service offered like they may offer Visa and Mastercard and UnionPay.
  14. You claim that, yet here we are.
  15. I watch the guy for the data, photos and videos, all collected in one place. If his coverage is anything like the Florida condo collapse, he'll be posting updates as more info comes in. In the case of Florida, that included the official reports, rebuttals from other parties, leaked memos, etc. I'm not the right kind of engineer to judge any conclusions he may draw. Mechanical engineers like me mostly deal with stuff that's supposed to move. Edit: Of course, he may not be as able to collate all the information here since he doesn't speak or read Thai.
  16. Okay. I'm going to reveal my ignorance here. Honest question... Why would Bangkok Bank be in the middle of a transaction between Barclaycard and Netflix?
  17. When your toilet leaks, your shower stall turns black with mold and the wallpaper's peeling off in the corners, it's time to remodel. It's not going to look pretty for a while. But in the end, the results are worth it. It's the same with bad trade policies. And over $35 trillion in debt.
  18. Does anyone else suspect that he timed it perfectly?
  19. I'd quit fiddle farting around. Life's too short to stay frustrated. Sell them and buy what you want. Just be honest and disclose it. List it as a safety feature. But be ready for the disappointment in the sale price, whether you fix the problem modify the safety feature or not.
  20. They open a bunch of hotels and scooter rentals.
  21. I should have added, leave enough room for the big ass truck to accelerate if he needs to leave before you do.
  22. Cautionary tale. If you're going to pull off into the emergency lane, it's better to do it in front of the big ass stopped truck. So sad, all around.
  23. Perhaps that's because the vaccine regimen in the 50s and 60s was a tiny fraction of the vaccine regimen today. I'm only claiming a temporal correlation between that and autism and obesity and... and... But I'm glad we finally have someone at the helm who's willing to dig into the data.
