  1. You left out the YABA crazed dude with a machete and a grudge against all foreigners. I'm not saying that's what it was, but it does happen.
  2. I guess you missed the O'Keefe (OMG) pieces where they knocked on the doors of double-wides and asked the occupant whether they had actually donated to the Dems 1,000 separate times for a total of a lot more than their house was worth, even if you include the blow-up swimming pool. Someone's going to jail for this. You know that's gonna happen when so many of the ActBlue lawyers all jumped ship at the same time.
  3. They sleep late after Friday nights.
  4. But the Dem elite won't let them win. Chances are, they won't even let them on the primary ballot.
  5. I was hoping they'd at least put up a reasonable alternative. This means at least 7 more years of screeching.
  6. Pollster Nate Silver has named Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as the early front-runner for the 2028 Democratic presidential nomination, a prediction that critics say highlights a leftward shift of the Democratic Party. Silver, perhaps best known for founding statistical analysis site FiveThirtyEight, shared this bold claim in a “Silver Bulletin” Substack video, joined by Galen Druke, who also picked Ocasio-Cortez as the top contender.
  7. Thanks for that. One additional suggestion I have is to measure the diameter your wire (conductor) with a caliper. Not all markings are honest. Some, not even close.
  8. "Honesty" is all relative. There are places in the world where you cannot be honest and succeed. Greasing palms is an absolute necessity to even stay in business, much less thrive. I don't know anything about that family. But I wouldn't propose to hold them to a nanny state standard of honesty.
  9. My 2 cents. Just because you don't have vermin today doesn't mean you never will. For $175 USD, (6K Baht) I'd pull that trigger. And not worry about that rustling sound in the attic later. Edit: That's after checking the ampacity in conduit and being sure that's not going to cause an unintended consequence. If you need to upsize the wire, that may blow the budget. Sadly, all my ampacity charts are based on the NFPA published NEC and AWG wire. (Yank stuff) Not metric. I'm sure someone here has an mm2 chart.
  10. Really? It's true because they dissipate heat better if they're not in a conduit. Of course, that's not the only deciding factor. Especially if you have vermin that chew on exposed wires.
  11. The number of unvaccinated natives hasn't really changed that much. Neither has the number of vaccinated Mennonites. The variable here is the number of unvetted 3rd world newcomers.
  12. So you don't figure that the outbreak in the Mennonite community may be from close contact to the 3rd world newcomers with unknown vaccination status? Perhaps they were asymptomatic carriers. What about the outbreaks in Florida and in Illinois that started in newcomer shelters? BTW, 800 cases and 3 deaths listed in 2025 so far. And 285 cases in 2024, with no deaths listed. (CDC Data) 3 deaths in 2 years. The sky isn't falling.
  13. Did you say you were a member, and give them your phone number or QR code?
  14. Sad story, all around. My condolences to the ones they left behind. Last week, I had lunch with a Canuk buddy in BKK and we talked about tariffs and other things. Walking away, I realized I forgot to ask him whether DeHavilland is still making planes because I have very fond memories of flying (as a passenger) in Twin Otters in Alaska. Looks like they're still making several models, the Twin Otter being one of them.
  15. But that's been around forever. Something has changed. I suspect we all know what that is, but that's a deep rabbit hole.
  16. That may be true, and good information. But they were always the fastest with patches for the anti-VPN moves which are a regular thing. And I have nothing to hide from anyone. As if the CIA doesn't already have access to everything I do online. I just assume they do (VPN or no) and act accordingly.
  17. I call it what it is. A CDS. Caffeine delivery system. Back in the States, I bought caffeine pills (NoDoz) and took them when I couldn't get a real cuppa. They're available on Lazada, but I've never found them in the stores in LOS. Even the supplement stores. Addiction to caffeine and withdrawal headaches are a PITA. If instant is all that's available, instant it is. May as well know which of them are better.
  18. I was using ExpressVPN quite successfully for years pre-Covid. Post Covid, I fired up the VPN and the next day we got a phone call from our ISP's security team telling us they detected a VPN at our IP address and that needed to stop. So I stopped. Good info, BTW. Thanks for that. I'll sign up on my next monthly BKK trip. Edit: Someone in a less precarious visa situation may have bigger balls than I do. But I'm here to help care for a GF with cancer so I can't risk the trouble on a tourism visa. They've been really good about letting me come and go so I won't abuse that.
  19. So they showed up to get paid. He reneged. Then he blocked them from leaving and even chased them down. What am I missing?
  20. He should offer classes. Probably make a mint.
  21. Your guess has been noted. I'm not saying you're wrong. I just don't know, and the OP didn't mention. 80% sounds a little high for YABA or Meth, etc. Sounds about right for weed and/or Kratom. But I admit I don't know. Edit: I'd add that the 10% serious addiction rate sounds about right for the really hard stuff.
  22. I'm pretty sure Musk is keenly aware of what it costs to lay people off, having fired about 80% of the Twitter staff and ending up with a better platform for it. Last time I looked, X is making about the same $$ profit on half the revenue (because of the predictable lefty advertiser boycott). So maybe the gub'ment can provide a better level of service with fewer employees if they can shed the ones that are working against their customers... The citizens. Gub'ment was never meant to be a jobs program for the otherwise unemployable. Anyone who's ever had to deal with getting a new driver's license can tell you a horror story. Not all DMV employees are lumps of useless skin, but about 20% of the good 'uns have to pick up the slack for the 80% that are. It's the same across Federal agencies, too.
  23. Nah. They keep a photo of Rachel Maddow and some KY in their sock drawer for that.
  24. Your video isn't coming up here, but if it's a reference to The Beatles' "Why Don't We Do It in The Road", that's not what the song's about. McCartney wrote the song after seeing two monkeys copulating in the street while on retreat in Rishikesh, India, with the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
  25. I chalked that up to handicap access. Even blind people can find the rest room.
