  1. If it bothers you and it's a private hospital, just say you don't have your passport, they'll still admit you.
  2. Private hospital profits are way down, I suspect whoever lobbied crippling online ordering want people going in and paying all the fees just to get their monthly prescription. I used to pay about 8k baht a month to wait 2 hours to see a doctor for one minute and wait another hour for my medication to be dispensed. The same meds that now get delivered to my condo for more than half that.
  3. I noticed the same thing when trying to order on the website I usually use but they still take orders over the Line app and delivered like usual.
  4. Do you have a tenancy or rental agreement? Their website says they'll accept that.
  5. I wonder if he remembers or will ever be able to tell how he got the injury.
  6. Face scan is to change your daily limits or for transfers over 50k. Like you've discovered, you can make multiple transfers instead up to 200k a day I believe.
  7. I recently successfully registered for TrueMoney Wallet and it was approved after a few days. If you have a long term visa and send them a scan of it, you can also unlock all features like sending the funds to bank accounts as well. The Virtual Mastercard is very useful.
  8. Even if booked weeks before departure, the airports and airspace is closed, so the flights got cancelled. Israeli tourists have caused just as much trouble as Brits, Aussies, Koreans, Chinese and Indians, probably less actually.
  9. Thais of Cambodia descent are not migrant workers, they're Thai citizens, so how is that even relevant to the topic?
  10. Other reports have said that they let you withdraw the funds before closing the account. I think even in Thailand, they need some kind of justification or proof that the funds were illegally obtained to just keep it.
  11. It was just a KYC questionnaire. They wanted my address, occupation, net worth, source of funds, contact phone number etc..
  12. I just updated it through the app where the notification directed me to.
  13. Just got a notification on my Bangkok Bank app to update my info (KYC). Have the account since 2019 and on a long term visa. Tested and everything still works though.
  14. No, a block doesn't affect or reduce the funds that are in the account or show on bank statements. I used to work for a bank and would put and remove holds on people's accounts.
  15. 2 year visa and a WP means he can open a bank account at any bank he wants. If it's blocked, it's either for doing something shady with his account or just needs to go in and do a facial scan, passport update etc.. The block on his account has nothing to do with why people on tourist visas are having their accounts blocked.
  16. @Renegade Sea Monkey I think @RayWright is correct. Looking at your photos again, the last number looks off/fake so according to the photos, you probably only used 808 units which even at his inflated 7 baht/unit rate is 5656 baht/$172 dollars. The host is trying to majorly scam you, please fight this through AirBNB and don't let the scammer get away with it.
  17. Does it say in the Airbnb, what rate they will charge you for electric? It seems like for 8085 units, they are charging you 7 baht per unit instead of 4.5-5. For a one bedroom condo/apartment, that usage does not seem possible even if you ran one or two ACs 24/7 the whole 4 and a half months, unless maybe you were doing it with all the windows open. It's possible this AirBNB owner just sends the same before and after photos to all long term tenants, if you didn't check and verify the meter in person, yourself.
  18. Sounds great to me. At least they aren't bothering anyone.
  19. Thailand has no borders with China.
  20. I agree but doubtful any would accept him or actually pay out at his age and with what they'll say is a pre-existing condition anyway.
  21. I can walk in to any K-bank today with just my passport and Elite Visa and open an account. It's one of the few decent perks they offer for their overpriced visa.
  22. Wait it out, it will most likely be taken back eventually, let the bank handle it. Like you said, you might not have even noticed. It's only illegal if you spend it all and/or refuse to return it when the bank orders you to.
